Pokémon Smash! September 8 — FINISHED[UPD1]

[UPD1]

In the preview for next week’s Smash, the narrator  teased us with “a new secret truth about Mega Mewtwo!” On a side note, the smash crew is seen talking about the Kalos starters in the preview as well; could it be leading to the starter evolution reveals…?

Pokémon Smash will be airing soon in Japan, this episode we’re not expecting much in terms of news, and as such we will not provide live coverage, a stream will be available below, however.

A stream can be found below, as well as the PokéJungle Chat. So please follow along with us! Also: Like us on Facebook and Follow us on Twitter too, for even more Pokémon related goodness! Don’t forget about our very own forums too!

Corocoro Information

We know our readers are eagerly awaiting the latest issue of Corocoro and while there’s a little longer to wait, we thought we’d remind you of what you can expect this month… Rather than the usual few pages featuring new X & Y information, the issue this month will feature a separate booklet alongside the usual published pages.

The separate publication will contain information on new Pokémon and is said to feature a “newsflash” on Mega Pokémon. Somewhere in the issue the update type-chart for X & Y will also be published, meaning we will finally learn where Fairy-Type fits into the least of weaknesses, strengths and resistances!

We’re expecting all this information to hit around the 11/12 of this month, so keep your eyes on the site for what’s looking to be a huge X & Y scoop!

  1. As someone had mentioned earlier, what if Pokemon Smash! (or Corocoro) reveals the dual-typed attacks? Now hear me out, because this is what I think they mean:

A move of one type that deals damage of another type. Example, Some steam move is Water or Flying-type, but deals Fire-type damage. The possibilities are endless…

    Oh and steamed veggies huehuehue!

  4. I still need to see some more Bug type pokemon and more Ghost type pokemon. For X and Y they haven’t revealed these types:
    Rock
    Ice
    Ground

  5. Big Question:
What new abilities do you guys want to see?
I want to see an ability if the opponent, (ice type opponent), makes physical contact with you then you have a 10 percent chance of getting frozen.

    • new abilities i would like are

lockjaw:incenses the power of bite moves

fast pasted: incenses the power of priority moves but lowers there accuracy

    • There’s so many abilities that can be made possible! I just can’t wait! Cheek Pouches already sounds impressive with the fact that you eat a berry and you gain HP no matter what the berry is! Double up with the Oran Berries. Haha. That should be very fun!

    • Maybe an ability called Sweet Melody that has a 20% of making the opponent sleep when using a damaging sound-based move, excluding Uproar and Perish Song.

Or an ability called Gentle Touch that has a 30% of Sleep when contacting the Pokemon (huehue, pillow Pokemon XD)

  6. I’d love to have an Ice type Gym Leader as the 7th Gym Leader (how original) for that snowy windmill city. From the way you move around Kalos, it actually seems quite likely Lol.

  7. Correct me if I’m wrong but, this is going to be the last relevant Corocoro in terms of news, am I right? I mean by the time the leaks come out for the next months issue, the games are already out. Let’s enjoy!

  8. I really think that new Pokemon we saw in the Direct is an English Sheep Dog. They are known to be very hairy and have a coat that can cover their eyes sometimes! So I think Swirlix is gonna evolve into a separate poodle! It’s not a crime to have more than one dog Pokemon. Lol.

  9. Last year’s October Coro Coro issue revealed 20+ new pokemon and Cilan Cress and Chili. There’s a hint of hope in this dish of excitement.

  11. The X & Y games will surely be amazing unfortunately i dont have money to buy a 3DS. but I think for sure that these will be the best pokemon games that already existed

    • I 100% Agree it may even top MH3U! You could try saving up for one or a 2DS, looking online for a used 3DS, sites like Craigslist where they show pictures of the item help! 🙂 You still have 33 days!

      • But a used 3DS my country is very expensive it $650 + tribute and a 3DS XL ITS $1200 + tribute and the minimun salary here $600 but we pay here $400 of tribute. So i am cetic and hopeless about the possibility that I will get Pokémon X & Y and a 3DS. Yeah its the end of my journey as a Pokémon trainer

  12. On a Serious note.. I know it is not anytime soon.. but when will Pokémon Completely end?
No more shows, no more games.. it can’t last forever can it?

    Reply
    • It will never end…as long as there are still fans like us who will carry on the legacy, it will be eternal. If they were to end the games, we’d just play our old Emeralds and relive the past.

    • Pokemon may never end in terms of show, games etc. But they have to stop making new pokemon at some point, don’t they? I mean can you imagine 15,435 Pokemon?? At least I hope they just round out, maybe at like 1000…and then the future could be about new developments and other games but yea, at least that’s what I think/hope

      • I think we may have about two or so more generations left (with about 100 pokemon each) to cap the total off at about 1000 pokemon.
Then they might take a break for a while and come back years later with even more.
