Pokémon Smash!
Hopefully you’re all enjoying our new layout, please remember we’re still in the process of ironing out kinks and should be fully functional over the next few days. We’re aware of comment issues! As always, Pokémon Smash will be airing in Japan soon. Much like last week this episode isn’t set to showcase much, and as such we will not be providing live coverage, you can however expect a write-up tomorrow (Sunday).

Episode Write-Up
- Smash crew started the show with the usual anime airing
- Next up was some… crazy portrait fun
- Leading on to a anime inspired section, with Ash, Cilan and Iris
- Eventually the show moved on to an XY section, again back at WCS talking about Xerneas and other Pokémon
- Next, it’s on to the usual XY section, with a focus on Skiddo, Dedenne and Bunelby
- More fun at the WCS, and the show is over!

42 Days Remaining Until

Nothing interesting gonna be revealed is it? (ie I can sleep at a reasonable hour)
But that countdown at the bottom of the post, that’s quite exciting, little over 1 month left!

My bad, I forgot to update the countdown. It’s actually 42 days, not 63. It’s a little over 1 month!
Now that mistake has made me even more excited, ahhhhh!
Time since reveal has gone incredibly quickly. Almost unbelievably!
As for Smash revealing anything exciting: no. Anything that does get shown we’ll almost certainly already know about. Perhaps a small snippet of new footage, but not much else.

ok heres my theory
i believe mega stones are obtained from the sea i think this because shalour city the city where korrina is in is a seaside town and she knows alot about megaevolutions plus just something i noticed is that the megastones a circular sort of like a pearl

That would be a bit challenging to find them. Also, how would they end up in the sea? I think they will be scattered in random locations! Pokemon has said they will be hard to find!

I can’t believe there is already 42 days left! It feels like last week it was 80 days left. :O Our best bet for anything new is Coro Coro which is pretty much right around the corner.

This is off topic but what do you guys imagine espurr and meowstick looking like
Espurr- Yellow Espeon, standing on hind legs with little whiskers and a little fatter and a slightly different tail
Meowstick- Yellow Persian with blue and white stripes and thick, long, white whiskers with a similar tail to Espurr’s but bigger
If they’re real (y’know what I mean with the english names and stuff) I imagine them looking really circular. If any of you guys watched Sailor Moon, look to Luna-P lol.
I always pictured them to look like Sagwa, from Sagwa: The Chinese Siamese Cat.

Hmm. Ice type version of Stealth Rocks sounds interesting! I would like something similar to Toxic Spikes for Burn! Also, we already have Fog as weather (In D/P/Pt)! Yet, I doubt Pollution would be in it! It would be a bit harsh!

Looks like Gender-Differnces will be returning in X & Y, as seen by this Female Pikachu. (Image Below / First two Female / Second two Male). Just a quick opinion, I think Gogoat will have a Male and Female form. Most likely Females would have smaller horns than Males. Yet, we have to wait for X & Y to find out! ;D

Well, it’s something that almost certainly was going to return, but it’s nice to have some confirmation.
I don’t know if anyone noticed… but Pikachu definitely has two cries. The first time it appeared in the wild in the demo above, it says “PIKA!” excitedly. The second time he encountered one in the wild it said “pika Pika!!”

I like that GF are using the anime cries instead of the game ones but I don’t think they’ll do it for all of the Pokemon considering how some of them have different names in different languages.
So far only Pikachu has its anime cry.
Well pikachu is a gen 1 pokemon so until we see a gen 6 pokemon with a gender difference we cant really confirm that yet
Mostly likely! As I said, I really think Gogoat would be one of the Pokemon to get one! Same as Fletchling! Mostly because female birds look more dull (in color) than Males!

well they had very few in gen 5….
Yea! All we got was Unfezant, Frillish, and Jellicent.
But the gen 5 gender differences were my favorite because of how different they were.
And the Jellicent was a rather GIANT gender change, the most drastic gender differences we have that are actually still the same Pokemon *Nidoran Male and Female being examples of gender differences that are technically different Pokemon, but effectively are still the same* At this point, it would be unlikely they would take away Gender Differences. That would be like taking away Shinies at this point.
Didn’t Junichi Masuda already go over that gender differences were in the game at The GAME Show? sorry I just remembered hereing that, but Thanks for the video 🙂

Maybe it wasn’t a level. Maybe it’s an item you use on it, or a move it has to learn. Maybe it needs a Leaf Stone, or to learn Rock Climb.
Not completely in Japanese. I’m taking Japanese classes right now, but I just know that much about the system I don’t know how to read them though

Well, I’ve seen “English” numbers used in Smash before, so I’d assume that if it evolves by level, they would have shown that. (Unless it evolves some other way)
