P.S. This is ozy speaking. Now i have editing powers! 😀 Imma just copy and paste what I had in my last post: Piramekino and Oha Suta just revealed that for the entire of next week, they will be showing segments on their shows about Pokemon Black and White! Each of these shows air on weekdays so we’ll be getting alot of info for sure! Allthough, this doesn’t mean that all the info they show will be new, it could be old news or it could be new details on old news. So, don’t expect them to show any new Pokemon. Also, our local translator Kriffix has translated some bits of the Masuda interview in PokePia and it is now confirmed that there will be NO evos for past generation Pokemon.

Personally I don’t think this either adds to or detracts anything from his credibility. Either he made up the description based on having seen that picture or he does have inside info that obviously would match with that one anyway.

I can’t really tell from a small sprite like that, so I would say no to the addind credibility for that picture, but I think Melkor’s stuff may be true. But I’m still kinda 50/50

If you look under the D in drawing, you can see ears that are alike to shikijika, so I don’t think it’s Tsuta’s evo.

We should not jump to conclusions yet:
Each of those sheet only displays ONLY one species of Pokemon, performing actions and showing expressions we won’t likely see in the game (Mijumaru swimming on his back and removing his shell, Pokabu drooling, Musharna waking up) but only in the anime.
I can see Shikijika ears and a bunch of leaves, but there’s no telling it is displaying a special ability (like Tsuutarja elasto-vines) or camouflaging under a bush (which is something real baby deers do and the whole point of changing colours anyway).
Chances are that Serebii’s excuse is just a poorly thought theory, rather than a deliberate lie (it wouldn’t be the first time).

I don’t think it make him more credible. To me it seems like he is using small rumors, and Pokemon of which only vague image exist, to make himself seem more believable.
i still think PxP is giving us info he thinks is true. And if it is, then good for him. If it doesn’t turn out to be true I think the fault lies with his source, not him personally. He runs too large a website to do something as stupid as this a week before release.

I do hope meguroko gets 2 evos. When I first saw it I thought we were getting another hippopotas 🙁 , but the typing and two possible evos are making me happy 😀
I don’t’ doubt him at all now. I’ve been speaking with Melkor in private, and I really don’t think he’s faking any of this now.
I also think he has sprites, rather than official artwork or the game itself. They are possibly organized by type, with each file named as the pokemon’s corresponding #. Just based off the types of info he’s given in the twitter and things that Hiro has said in the comments.

I agree, I don’t see what else it could be.. although someone did mention once that it could be a female/male difference, which is believable since the biggest difference appears to be the lengthened body hair and that’s the usual generic difference between the pokemon sexes

yes look closely! there is so much difference than the ears look at the neck and shijikas or what evers neck theres a difference, and most deer have big ears i really liked shijika its a incredibly creative desighn!!

after reading “The Kane Cronicles: Red Pyramid” i think Meguroko’s 2nd evolution is based on Set (also nicknamed the “RED” god). hes basically the evil god…kinda like hades from greek myths.

One thing that seems odd is that PxP seem to be revealing very ‘obvious’ evolutions. In most cases it’s been -bigger version-, -slight change in colour-, -simple details such as spikes- :/ From their description a lot of Pokémon are going to look very similar to their evolutions, which kind of hints at me that they might be faking (at least SOME of their information).
Or they might just fail at describing, who knows 😛

As for being on topic. I always thought the image was just Meguroko. It never looked like it was standing on two legs to me.
But then again… I don’t know….
The patterns on the evolution struck me as being Chinese inspired at first. These kinds of characters are not uncommon in Chinese mythology.
The starter Evolutions at least are pretty much confirmed at this point.
