A new Pikachu will be given away in Japan as part of the promotion for Black & White ending song. It has the ability Lightningrod, is guaranteed to be female, is given away at level 30 and knows these moves:
- Sing
- Teeter Dance
- Electro Ball
- Encore

Eh, it’s nothing to big to gawk at. The only real thing that’s nice about it is Lightingrod. To me, it’s just another one of those downloads where you can go to someone and say, “Hey look my Pikachu can sing and yours can’t,” and they don’t know how you got it and freak out lol. Plus I don’t like the female’s tails, so that’s another down for me. :9
Keep in mind that the ability is breedable, so you can get your male volt tackle pikachu, only without sing. That’s why it is female
Why would you want Lightening Rod on a Volt Tackle Pikachu? I mean, yeah there is the resistance, but it increases your Sp. Attack. This Pikachu has a smarter moveset for the ability. But I don’t think that anyone uses event Pokemon on field, they just hoard them in the back of the PC.
I’m going to agree with Jenny. I don’t like the female Pikachu tails either. One of the more unnecessary gender differences.
Face it, gamefreak is just doing filler events to buy time. Hopefully we get something good in the near future. I mean, the first event I got was Victini and I don’t use it anymore. This won’t come to North America either, guaranteed.
Does it come with light ball ?
According to serebii when pikachu comes from the DW he holds it.
Eh, it’s nothing to write home about. I only really like the fact it has Lightning Rod, but even that isn’t very special. Pikachu isn’t exactly the most useful Pokemon, although I guess it does have its purposes.

This Pikachu is neat, but I really want to be able to get a Flying Pikachu in my Black game. I was pretty miffed when it wouldn’t let me transfer my Orville from HG to Black…
And I couldn’t transfer my surfing Pikachu, Misty, to Black either 🙁
