New Pokémon Reveal Could Come Soon

An upcoming product reveal has a mysterious placeholder for a “secret” battle disc with an unknown Pokémon (image below courtesy of PokéShopper). With CoroCoro’s next issue expected to leak in just over a week(!), this could be an indication more Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon reveals could be just around the bend!

PokéShopper also noted that the product listing was similar to another previous Pokémon reveal:

Magearna merch debut promo Jan 29th, 2016. Serebii leaked Corocoro February 10th – Magearna revealed.

While not much to go on at the moment, it is a hopeful sign! We’ll keep you updated when more details are announced!

  7. My festival reviews of the past weekend:

    Imagine Dragons: 3/5 Their hit songs are still really good, but god some of the songs on the new album are boring and uninspired. Good performance though.

    Linkin Park: 2/5 The new album is even worse than Imagine Dragon’s one, and they were remarkedly off notes in the new songs. Was one cringey hour, but the last thirty minutes brought solace with very good performances of their hits.

    Arcade Fire: 5/5 Just pure bliss, crazy funky, weird songs. Nothing to complain about.

    The Lumineers: 2/5 Seems like they are getting tired of ‘Ho hey’ themselves, really lazy performance and their other songs miss the hit factor, although Cleapotra was still good.

    Kings of Leon: 3/5 Good performance, but too much of the same, I think I’ve heard enough from them the past few years.

    Lorde: 5/5 Great new album, swingy performance, this was one hell of a show.

    Agnes Obel: 2/5 Riverside wasn’t as good as on record, and the rest was ho-hum. Better suited for somewhere else in a closer setting.

    The Chainsmokers: 3/5 Catchy tunes and singalongs, but their songs are very formuliac, even more so than most other popular bands.

    Radiohead: NA/5 This was a snoozefest for me, but they play the guitar well. So no score.

    Oscar and the Wolf: 5/5 The whole place was on fire the whole time, one of the best party there was all weekend.

    Blink-182: 3/5 This isn’t the Blink-182 as you know it, but they still bring nostalgia.

    System of a Down: 4/5 Absolutely great show, but not my cup of tea

    Charli XCX: 0/5 Dabbing, snapchat, croptops, choker, twerking, ’90s bitch’, backing tape, all the slut boxes are checked

    Rag’N’Bone Man: 2/5 Great voice, nice dude, but not enough songs to fill a whole festival set, so quite boring at times.

    Soulwax: 4/5 These are some great songs, not widely known, but I preffered them to Alt-J, which I give a 3/5 since they couldn’t quite get the show going.

    Nothing But Thieves: 3/5 Singer needs some more experience with crowds, but Amsterdam is a very nice song and the rest was a good opener too.

    Bazart: 6/5 You’ll probably don’t understand anything of them, but this was the best show I’ve been too in years. Energetic singalongs songs, an excited crowd and a confetti cannon, you don’t need more.

    Foo Fighters: 4/5 Good beginning and end, rather calm in between, but this was a nice closer to the festival.

    I’ve seen 20 or so bands more than written here, but you’ll probably will never heard of them and they are not for everybody, so I’m not going to write a summary. But all in all this was a very good edition!

    In other news, 2017 is officially half over. What a ride it’s been, and it’s been suspiciously enjoyable for me so far.

          • Well anytime is a strong word, but after Thursday we’re bound to get new episode titles, one will include Akala volacano park and that Crowned Marowak and soon after Ash’s fight with Olivia

            And seriously they need to start buffing the cast’s rosters,

          • Ehhhhh we might get some spacing between trials, especially since Alowak might come before Totem Salazzle (which I’d imagine is still the Totem)

            Calling it now that Kiawe catches that there Marowak, it’s his main in game + it’s marketable as an Alolan

  19. All armor sets/masks, all Shrines, all sidequests, all Memories, Hyrule Compendium complete, all Great Fairies unlocked. With that, I’m announcing my second retirement from Breath of the Wild…but I’ll be back later in the year when DLC Pack 2 is on the horizon. Trial of the Sword, amiibo costumes, 700+ Korok seeds and lots of armor upgrades still await me, but that’s a job for another day.

    Blush mountain is useless, the minior mountain is literally useless besides holding Sophocles trial

  37. i see the convo about digimon below and i didnt know which comment to reply to so i thought id just put my thoughts all together in a new post. Digimon adventure 01 is great. Digimon adventure 02 is also great but arguably not as good as 01. digimon tamers (3) is great especially because we have the best digimon that exists and yes its Terriermon. Digimon frontier (4) is a lot better than people seem to think. data squad (5) isnt that terrible. sure it starts off slow and boring but trust me it gets so good. as for fusion (6) lets pretend this one doesnt exist. i tried to hard to get into it and i stopped at about say 10 episodes in. Finally Digimon Adventure Tri is great for those who havent seen it. I watched the sub and its very enjoyable and i recently got the dub on dvd and sadly some of the VAs didnt return such as Lara Jill Miller as Kari

    • I agree with the first three. I didn’t see much of frontier so no comment there. And I stopped with data squad like 20 episodes in cause it just wasn’t appealing to me anymore and I haven’t watched anything from digimon since.

  44. Hey guys, sorry for my absence, I was on a recent trip to Las Vegas and we drove back to Florida, so I was barely on the Internet, much less on here. And it’s been a few days since I came back, but that’s just cause I was trying to get caught up in everything I missed when I was gone.
    I bought Ever Oasis and completed the main story while I was away though. I recommend it for sure, it was a fun game that wasn’t too difficult for me to get into (although there are some difficult parts in the game for sure). Some people say it starts slow, and I definitely agree, but I think it’s to get people into the many mechanics in the game and to ease players into the gameplay, which as someone who is a casual player and can get turned off if a game becomes difficult all of a sudden, was a breath of fresh air.

  60. Hey, so I tried to continue my SBQ in HG because I’m training up my mons in W2 and since RE are easy to do while doing that. I was trying to get a shiny Mareep (cause I don’t have one and its dope) but I got a shiny rattata instead which I am not mad at since I don’t have one either and it puts in work in my W2 Nuzlocke.
    It’s a female and I need help with a nickname for one, as I’m struggling for one. Normally I do something based on origins or what I feel is right for it, but nothing is coming to mind for me origin wise or not. (and it will evolve obviously so don’t try to think of a name based on rattata’s golden color but raticate’s orange color).

  62. I beat Final Fantasy VI a few days ago! The game was seriously a treat to play through. I recommend it to any Final Fantasy fan or anyone wanting to play a Final Fantasy game. The game is rather easy once you get Hastaga + Quick + Ultima, which allows you to easily sweep any boss.

  65. Realized that I still have to catch Entei still in Johto, so Mewtwo will have to wait.

    Anyway, omfg Entei is awful to catch. I discovered that it has Roar, which I’m using a Crobat to Mean Look it, so it isn’t immune to it like Gastly’s line. Ontop of that, it can wear Crobat down with burns from Flamethrower and whittle it additionally with Fire Spin. So I need to simultaneously heal up Crobat every 2-3 turns, try to catch it in that time span, and try to hope it doesn’t Roar.

    Typhlosion. Been with me since the very beginning. had lots of close calls, but persevered.

    Tyranitar. A power house. I spent hours getting him the wide lens but it was all worth it for the semi consistent stone edges. Destroyed Charizard when Tamatoa couldn’t.

    Terri, Tarry, and Terry. The squad that drill pecked everything in existence.

    I’ve won my first nuzlocke ever.

    Transferring these guys is going to be a pain… All the lost souls and all the ones i never used. Plus the final three.

    Digimon adventure 01- The best season hands down (Watch it in japanese, I don’t want to be one of those people but its 100% better if you like serious)
    Digimon adventure 02- Good when I was kid. Rewatched it, and it was AWFUL. I do not like this season. Too many plot holes and introducing things that never follow suit and horrible characters.
    Digimon Tamers- Great Season. I loved it! the only bad thing is it can have some really slow points.
    Digimon Frontier- Probably one of the weaker seasos, it wasn’t bad, but the characters just weren’t as good as the past ones. Also near the end literally only 2 characters are useful, and it just gets crazy repetitive.

  92. Warning: Long Wall i literally made out of boredom.

    So looking at all my teams that I’ve saved since I’ve got Bank and/or teams in current playthroughs that are complete, including my first AS and Sun Teams, I’ve seen that for each type I’ve used a certain amount of Pokémon:

    Water – 29 Pokémon
    Grass – 27
    Fire and Flying – 26
    Poison and Normal – 23
    Bug, Dark and Ground – 17
    Dragon and Fairy – 15
    Fighting and Psychic – 14
    Rock and Electric – 13
    Steel – 12
    Ice and Ghost – 10

    Not surprised by how high up Grass, Fire, Water, Normal and Flying are, that’s to be expected. Water is actually a bit inflated, which is the same with Dark, Normal, and Poison since I have or had have monotypes with.

    A lot of types are lower then they should be because I’m only counting teams I remember using and stored in bank, so anything I used before 2014 is discounted. I also discounted duplicates, and partially, forms if they share a type with another form of that Pokémon (so Alolan Raichu can’t contribute to Electric because I already used a Raichu or two before, but it can contribute to Psychic).

    Personally, I’m surprised by how low Fairy and Electric are. Fairy fluctuates between fave and second fave for me, whereas Electric is an old fave that I still like a lot.

    Ice and Ghost are super low down too. Not surprising for Ice, I do like it but it’s rare. Ghost tho? Great distribution for the last two Gens, literally more common types like Poison and Ground got little last two Gens but Ghost got a toooon. So surprised it isn’t higher up :00000

    Ground’s surprisingly high up there too, being tied for fourth, and also being within the top 9 types I’ve used, which Fairy slightly falls under :0

    Planning a Fairy and a second Poison mono later this year which’ll drastically shift up Poison and Fairy (by six each, actually!), and both my final Platinum Nuzlocke team and my first Ultra Sun(?) team will change the stats a bit.

      • True, but just looking through my teams I don’t actually have that much Fairies in my ‘first’ runs of XYORAS with all the starters (like three fairies between six runs) and I actually have nearly half of my Fairies coming from SuMo runs (two fairies in my party for every starter run) which means I’ve only really started using fairies this year and the tail end of last :0

          • I think it’s partially also me just caring less about type overlap, my Incineroar team had two Dark-types, two Fairy-types, two Grass-types, and two Ghost-types (Inci/AloMuk/Shii/Araq/Mimi/Dhel)

  94. On July 4th, 2017, I am inventing a new kind of pokemon challenge.
    I will refer to it as the Unova’s Justice Challenge!
    Here’s how you play:
    -Start Pokemon Sun/Moon fresh.
    -You must choose a fire or water starter (In honor of the first games in the US, Red and Blue)
    -As soon as you get EXP share, turn it off.
    -You may only use Patriotic colored Pokeballs (Red, White, or Blue must be a part of the ball, standard parts like the bottom of the ball and the brim don’t count!)
    -Your team is forbidden from using/being dark, ghost, or fairy moves/types (Justice doesn’t accept darkness, magic. or supernatural phantoms in this case)
    -You order your team based on seniority, (meaning newest first, oldest last. Front lines are always soldiers that just started, and thier commanding officers are able to get some coverage)
    -Every island completed results in you providing anyone who survived a star, meaning you can get 4 stars from kahuanas, and the 5th from surviving the whole elite four and the first champion challenger. You only earn stars for the squad that helped you beat the kahuna successfully.
    -If your pokemon faints, they are removed from your team for 1 island, and miss that star for the island. (There are no make up tests in war.) If they faint 3 times, they are dead and you lose all stars for them, if any were earned. You may replace them with a fresh pokemon though, but no star transfer.
    -If at any time you black out, you become war prisoners and you lose, there are no second chances, but you may start over.
    -If you get a 5 star pokemon into the hall of fame, they are rewarded with a purple pokeball medal for surviving the whole way. (I will award it myself if you can prove they survived.)
    -If your whole team survives from the first island to champinoship, then you have bested the challenge perfectly, otherwise, count your stars as a score combined and see how many you
    can get!

    So if you are game, then mooooove out!

  107. It could just be a new form for Lycanroc based on the placeholder from the SM datamines. Remember that they referred to Kyurem’s forms as “new Pokémon” before, so it doesn’t mean actual new Pokémon.
