Ready for a new challenge to take on in Pokémon Sun & Moon? The Weakness Cup has been announced and requires players to create a team of Pokémon that have 5 or more weaknesses! Some of those Pokémon considered too frail for normal usage may just get their time to shine. That’s not all though–players will also earn Ampharosite, Altarianite, Latiosite, and Latiasite Mega Stones if they participate in 3 or more battles! That means Mega Ampharos, Mega Altaria, Mega Latios and Mega Latias can be yours to use in Sun & Moon! The official site shares more details about the competition:
Registration for the Weakness Cup begins Thursday, July 20, 2017, at 00:00 UTC. The competition goes from Friday, July 28, at 00:00 UTC, until Sunday, July 30, at 23:59 UTC. Trainers will be limited to 15 battles per day.
It is also worth noting that according to Serebii.Net the battles will actually be double battles, not single battles.

I’m scrapping the previous Alpaca fakemon. After being with Alpacas I have a better Idea!
Alpasoft (Normal) that can be 4 diffrent colours (like Flabebe) that Evolves into:
Metalpac (Steel/Normal) that is based on diffrent metals based on the colour of its prevo
Beige Alpasoft -> Gold Metalpac
Brown Alpasoft -> Copper Metalpac
Grey Alpasoft -> Silver Alpasoft
Black Alpasoft -> I don’t know, help me
Metals only really come in shades of grey besides Gold and Copper, so if I were you I’d just go with a dark grey metal to contrast with silver

I like fire types definitely on the upper half. The Pokemon are generally cool, and the element is just awesome. They also do very well in battle. Too bad their worst enemy is SR. I could def be a fire type trainer

Least Favourite Pokemon: Magmortar. I don’t really like the Pink bits but could live with them if it still had its’ beak, instead of what look like hideous lips. I don’t really like its’ head in general, which is funny given what Magmars’ head looks like. I also don’t like the pink spikes on its’ back.
Least Favourite leader: Chili, just bland really. It was between him and Flint for his Ronald MacDonald look but he actually has a challenging team.
I love Fire types. It’s in my top 5 types and possibly my favourite. Yeah it has some common weaknesses, but it is overall a strong type and burns can be pretty useful. I like most of their designs and outright love some. I do think there is room to experiment with what sort of thing has the type. Some of my other favourites: Chimchar and Monferno; Charmander line including Megas; Alolan Marowak; Growlithe line; Vulpix line; Magby and Magmar (I don’t hate Magmortar); Flareon; Numel line (+Mega); Ponyta line; Moltres; Cyndaquil line; Slugma line; Entei; Ho-Oh; Houndour line (+Mega); Torchic line (+Mega), Torkoal; Primal Groudon; Victini; Litwick line; Volcarona; Reshiram; Fennekin; Litleo line; Salandit line. But I like pretty much everything in this type.

Jeez and I thought my parents were invasive. I had to use AOL as my internet browser for a while because it has parental controls. And every email I sent with it would get carbon copied to them as well :/. I later got upgraded to IE, which was more relaxed, and then Chrome which I use regularly. If I misbehaved, I would get downgraded to IE, then AOL. I hated it so much. I’d also have to sit at my desk, which is opposite my door, so they could see everything if they wanted.
This was all years ago though, it all pretty much stopped when I entered high school. And now that I’m in college I’m pretty much on my own. I can do whatever and it’s great! I went to Disney with my girlfriend in the middle of last semester just because and they never knew 🙂

I just finished Specter of Torment and its probably my favorite of the Shovel Knight stories. He’s my favorite knight and the gameplay is great! Plague Knight took a while for me to really get used to but I picked up Specter Knight right away.
I always loved the story in Shovel Knight. Never gets in the way of gameplay but characters are developed in a rad way whenever story does come. Hell, story is even worked into gameplay in Specter Knight in a really cool way.
I had a 98% item completion so I really wanna finish that. I’m guessing its just the last Curio i missed.
Overall… if you haven’t bought Shovel Knight yet, do it. Its so worth it.

Idk if Im just going through a phase, but I freaking love Oricorio. Its such a amazing Pokemon. The forms are awesome. Its cute. and I have a shiny one.

LP- Celesteela- Hate this thing. Its just sooo annoying to battle against. Normally I dont have a problem with stall, but this pokemon is UGLY and stalls.

Thoughts. This may be very bias, but I just LOVE birds. Birds are so cool, so I love flying types. They all have amazing and colorful design, just like birds. They are definitely top half of favorite types.

I like flying types. I often like ones that aren’t just birds like Gliscor etc and would like to see more, like Minior. I think if it were called Wind type it might be better. I don’t like how there is only 1 pure Flying type. I also feel we’ve had more thn enough Normal/Flying and Bug/Flying types now. So here’s what happened. I made it through the four trainers on top of Realgam Tower without a problem. Then I made it to Nascour and got completely blasted apart…I could only take out Blaziken. And apparently the final final guy is even harder than that. This is extremely tough, it’s not even funny.
And another thing: I have to go through the four trainers AGAIN, EVERY time I lose to either Nascour or Evice. I don’t think even Dark Souls could match the amount of BS in this endgame.

Vileplume has Effect Spore as an ability, and just because the Shrooms get it doesn’t mean other Pokémon can’t (that’s not what mandatory means, mandatory means it needs something but others can still have that thing)
That may be so, but as of right now all mushrooms carry it, and Vileplume specifically states its pollen causes a ton of allergic reactions so that may be what it’s referencing

I think you need to do multiple sketches before deciding on one you like. Then you improve the aspects you like and change the parts you dont before arriving on a final design

You need more detail, particularly with the bigger fakemon, i would also add color and digitally enhance them if you can, If you plan to go traditional, just color and shade. The overall work put into them could be better, but they do offer some originality in the concept.

I used to draw thousands of monsters every day in school because learning sucked ass, all I wanted to do was draw and that’s what I did, I’ve been drawing less and less ever since I graduated and just never feel the burning passion I felt
Nah fam. Drawing a lot is important but knowing this stuff will help you immensely. Trust me, if you start learning this stuff, you will improve so much faster. This specter knight drawing I’m doing is me learning perspective.
Someone can be as motivated as possible but if they dont learn this stuff, they’re art will show it. You’re already great so you should really go the extra step!

Good. The anime had a very slow pacing before
There’s speeding up and then there’s rushing it, literally four big events in a row is a bit rushed especially since they’re each regular length episodes and Lana still needs her Z-Ring developed and stuff, Ash still has a team of first evos when he’s nearly a third through the game’s plot, and the characters need development and catches
Maybe they’ll have all those developing stuff and the trials at the same time, you can do quite a lot in 20 minutes
It’s Pokémon tho, and the Wishiwashi episode has build up with Ash and Lana fishing and rocket scenes whereas the Wela Volcano Park episode has a ceremony to deal with before the Totem shows up (if it does)

I breed competetive for a run and then keep them underleveled. I just like to be able to use the ‘mon on my team long after the main story.
How every gen everyone decides one game is unplayable trash. I’m guilty of this too. Gen 5, Gen 3, now it seems its both Gen 6 and Gen 4 are the hated ones at the same time.
I dont like Gen 6 but there are plenty of good parts of it.

Saying how bad earlier games are basically because they aren’t as good in their view as newer ones. For example people say how bad gen 1 was in direct comparison to the games of today, without taking into account both limitations of the time and the fact that they didn’t know the success it would be. Also if those games weren’t any good we wouldn’t be here talking about Pokemon today.

Because I use six mons instead of 1-3 like most people do, Team Plasma grunts got angry at me and kidnapped half of my Pokemons and made me join the Team so my ideals can change. They promised me that when they finish their master plan, they’ll let my Mons stay with me, but of course, it was a lie.

I was in Team Plasma 2 years ago because I was scared i was doing more harm than good by capturing pokemon. Team Plasma made many speeches in Castelia so N swayed me over. After Hilda/Hilbert defeated Team Plasma, I rethought everything and returned to life as an artist in Castelia City. I caught a bunch of new pokemon after I released all of my old ones and tried to readjust by taking a vacation to Akala in Alola.

Basically, my fam would be acquaintances with Lysandre, be influenced by him and eventually kinda brainwashed by him in a cult like fashion. Bc inner Flare circle is probs more like a cult tbh. However Pokéme is used as a grunt because he likes battling so much (sisters are left out of Flare stuff because younger) and due to this is kept out of the loop. Learns of Flare’s ideals, but conflicted, continues to serve Lysandre in hopes that he isn’t being literal about his genocide stuff.
His family are distraught after Lysandre dies/trapped forever, but I’m low-key glad, get disowned, become a speaker travelling the world warning about the dangers of such teams and trying to prevent young people from joining them

Within the next couple days, we should be seeing a teaser for the 2018 Pokémon movie (because of this year’s movie launching in Japan). This could be huge, and could show whether Gen 8 is coming next year or not. My bets are on Dialga and Palkia returning…but a Gen 8 Pokémon would be insane.
I think it might be a new Pokémon regardless of whether it’s Gen 8 or Sinnoh, all our events have been used up and Hoenn showed Pokémon a good whole before they were released

Honestly I think the teaser will show the UBs. They may touch on the guardians in the main show, but I can see very much the UBs being movie exclusive. Then in that movie they have a surprise appearance of a new Pokemon ala Munchlax/Lucario/etc

Your Wecome and just realized some of these moves may not be available on them like Suicune learning Bite without a Move Reminder, but it should work out
NEW IDEA!!! What if the reason they’re doing the trials in such a weird pacing is because once Ash get’s done with them the normal Pokemon league opens up in Alola. If what everyone is theorizing about there being gyms in USUM is right, what if that’s the reason they’re doing the school thing for Ash this time? Have him do the trials where he’s basically stuck at school most of the time and then once they introduce the gyms THEN he can be cut loose and travel like normal. That way they don’t burn off too many middle ground towns and make it seem like he’s traveling the region twice.The whole school thing was a weird one to begin with and while I actually really do like many of the episodes I feel like the formula they have set up now wouldn’t work very well for any other sort of thing. The only problem with my theory is then it might feel like the gyms will feel rushed themselves. They always do a late series amendment for each gen’s adventure so I really do wonder what USUM bring to the table that will be incorporated into the show.

I’m only on the final boss, I had to turn the difficulty down to Easy, and I still can’t beat it.
Last boss was pretty hard but that’s why you you use the reaper. I was level 79 with yoshitsune which help a lot.
the trick is to use
concentrate+blazing hell with ann and charge+agnystra with ryuji to destroy the arms.
Also having Max star allows you to switch out party members mid battle which helps a lot when you run low on HP.
Make sure you always debilitate him with Trumpeter and never let him use his ultimate attack with more than two arms.
I don’t have Agnystra, I do have the ability to switch out teamates mid-battle, but it’s tough considering I’m super limited on healing, SP, and revival items.
Which level are you on? And what persons are you using?
Having morgana means you don’t need healings items plus if you can switch out mid batte you don’t need sp recovery items either. In my fight all of my characters ran out of sp so i was left using physical skills with ryuji haru and joker with morgana constantly healing
I have Joker, Ann, Makoto, and Morgana to heal, but I don’t have any SP items to restore it. I think I’m Level 70 something.
Don’t use Joker or Ann to heal.
They can do the most damage so don’t waste their sp.
I started off with Ryuji,Ann and makoto. After makato and ann ran out of sp i just switched them with morgana and haru.
Also equip SP adhesive accesory if you have it.
I need to get back on P5. I got busy and couldn’t play for a week or so. I’m in the second dungeon tho. Enjoying it quite a bit and would like to beat it by the end of the summer. I wish it was on the Vita tho. Being able to play P4 Golden anywhere and anytime was such a plus and I wish P5 had that kind of thing too.
My friend has Persona 4 Golden, it looks really cool. I have P4AU as well.

Didn’t they announce Sun and Moon information updates a week or more in advance? If so, why haven’t we heard that yet? Is it too much to ask to hear ANYTHING at all in July? I’m sure it will be next week because they’ll want to match Corocoro…unless they’re skipping this month. Which shouldn’t be possible.
I wanna say we heard something about every two weeks. So they’d announce something is coming and then two weeks later(ish) they’d reveal what it was. It’s very odd that 4 months away we still don’t have an info day announced. I wonder what the hold up is. Even if USUM is basically like Platinum you’d think they’d have enough to show off for at least once a month.
I don’t think people realize just how soon these games are coming out. It’s a similar timeframe that Switch games have had this year (ex: MK8D and ARMS, only a few months from release). So there’s definitely a way to cohesively describe the meaningful additions to this game, which must exist because at this point I do not feel as hyped for USUM as I was with Platinum and B2W2. I want them to change that.
MK8D had more content revealed earlier and its pretty much the same thing as USUM will probably be tbh
That would make sense, but historically it’s not the Game Freak way. It’s clear that they’re trying a new strategy this year with two big release days this year, September 22 and November 17. I think there isn’t much more to be said about Pokken and Gold/Silver, so they should be focusing on advertising USUM much better than they have at this point. I don’t know, I’ve just noticed changes this year.

I think the problem is that we really don’t know anything about them yet. It’s hard to get excited about a game you know nothing about. Plus in this case we’re in a spot where people were hoping for something different. People (myself included) were hoping that if we revisited Alola again it’d be a brand new story. That or a DP remake…….Either way right now it almost feels like this is a reg 3rd game and that doesn’t jive with me. I’ll hold out for more info, but I really hope they can make these games worth buying. I’d prefer not playing through SM only to have Necrozma forms shoe horned in. lol
I’m pretty sure that the way they’ve talked about the game is fundamentally flawed. I’m pretty sure it will have a new story but run through the same characters, with some new additions. I really do think it will be a 50/50 split between Platinum and B2W2 in terms of dual release, new forms, and slight improvements overall.
I hope so. I loved SM, but since it was so story heavy I really don’t want to ruin my original journey in Alola by basically playing through it AGAIN, but just with different Pokemon and a slight different ending. If I wanted to play that story again I’d just replay SM lol

That was one of the worst directs I’ve ever seen.
– Only like 3 minutes of it was new stuff. The rest was the announcer explaining basic splatoon mechanics
– The cool new stuff isn’t even coming at launch
– The squid sisters’ replacements are terrible, as is their catchphrase (“stay off the hook, don’t get cooked” replaces “stay fresh”). I’m not even a huge fan of the SS, but the new ones are way worse.
– They replaced cookie cutter characters with new cookie cutter characters (I don’t mean the SS here)
– We can now quickly scroll past SHELDON’S TEXT but not the intro?
Maybe I’m being too critical here, so I’ll at least list the things I thought were cool:
– the new bubbler
– the umbrella weapon
– splatfest demo!!

Overall though, this direct made me less hyped for the game. When it was announced, I had faith that they could make the game worthy of the “2” in the title, but throughout this direct it became apparent that it was the same gameplay with some tweaks. I know “if it isn’t broken don’t fix it,” but the core of Splatoon lies in the online modes, which are exactly the same as Splatoon 1.
I don’t mind the catchphrase, but “Stay fresh” is still better (Plus, Marie will always be my waifu).
I think the catchphrase is really cringy. I mean, so is “Stay Fresh,” but it’s iconic for the series at the point. Plus it’s snappy and short, so that’s a plus.
