Pokémon battling has broken free from consoles — Pokémon Champions is now available to play on iOS (App Store link) and Android (Google Play link)!
To celebrate, players can log in to the game from any platform (Switch, Switch 2 or mobile) to receive a Raichu, Raichunite X and Raichunite Y. This promotion will last until Tuesday, September 1, at 8:49 p.m. CDT.
Season M-3 begins
The Ranked Battle season M-3 has started, as well as the M-3 Battle Pass! The latter features cosmetics inspired by Canari and other rewards. They will run until September 2nd 2026 at 8:59 p.m. CDT.
Mega Evolution ability details
The update also revealed two new abilities:
- Elevate: The Pokémon floats off the ground, making it immune to Ground-type moves, as well as the Spikes, Toxic Spikes, and Sticky Web statuses. When the Pokémon knocks out a target with an attack, its highest stat is boosted by 1 stage. Ability of Mega Eelektross.
- Fire Mane: Boosts the power of the Pokémon Fire-type moves by 50%. Aability of Mega Pyroar.
Mega Evolutions added in Pokémon Legends: Z-A have also had their abilities revealed:
- Mega Raichu X: Electric Surge
- Mega Raichu Y: No Guard
- Mega Staraptor: Contrary
- Mega Scolipede: Shell Armor
- Mega Scrafty: Intimidate
- Mega Malamar: Contrary
- Mega Barbaracle: Tough Claws
- Mega Dragalge: Regenerator
- Mega Falinks: Defiant
It will be interesting to watch how players utilize these Mega Evolutions and their abilities in battle.
