The next season for Pokémon GO has been revealed as Forever Forward and it will run from June 2 at 10:00 a.m. to September 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Seasons shake up the game with new Pokémon, Mega Evolutions, events and more. This year’s global Pokémon GO Fest will fall within this Forever Forward season and will take place on July 11 and 12.
The season will be shaking up daily discoveries, with Scenic Sunday replacing Double-Time Sunday, Fast-Track Monday being removed and a new perk will be added to Showcase Tuesday. The aforementioned Scenic Sundays will feature Route bonuses, including more Pokémon spawns, additional Mateo encounters and more.

Research breakthrough rewards
A new season means new Pokémon encounters for weekly Research Breakthroughs! Successfully completing 7 days of Field Research can result in encountering one of the following Pokémon:
- Dragonite*
- Axew*
- Honedge*
- Jangmo-o*
- Indeedee*
- Klawf
*This Pokémon has a rare chance of being Shiny when encountered
