You can catch plenty of Porygon in a new Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Mass Outbreak event! It may be a nod to the last week of the Nintendo Switch being the latest Nintendo console with the imminent arrival of the Switch 2. Porygon can be evolved (upgraded?) into Porygon2, akin to the Switch 2 being available for fans to upgrade to. Both are also graphical improvements over their predecessors.
Porygon Mass Outbreak event details
From Sunday, June 1, at 7:00 p.m. CT until Wednesday, June 4, at 6:59 p.m. CT, Porygon will be appearing in Mass Outbreaks across Paldea, Kitakami and the Blueberry Academy!
Porygon can be evolved into Porygon2 when it is traded while holding the Upgrade item, while Porygon2 can be evolved into Porygon-Z when traded while it is holding the Dubious Disc item.
In Scarlet and Violet, players can get an Upgrade from registering 100 Pokémon in their Blueberry Pokédex, buying one from the Blueberry Academy School Store for 250 BP or from the Item Printer.
The Dubious Disc can be obtained by registering 110 Pokémon in their Blueberry Pokédex, buying one from the Blueberry Academy School Store for 250 BP or from the Item Printer.
Porygon, Porygon2 and Porygon-Z normal and Shiny colorations can be seen above.
