The first details have been revealed for Pokémon GO‘s next season. It is called Dual Destiny and will run from Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 9:59 a.m. local time. Read on to find out what this new season will bring to the game!
What players can expect in the Dual Destiny Season
The season will feature:
- New Pokémon from the Galar region will be coming to the game, including Sinistea and Polteageist!
- New Gigantamax Pokémon and Max Raid rotations that will include Gigantamax Lapras and the appearance of Krabby and Machop.
- New Shadow Raids including Shadow Regirock, Shadow Regice, and Shadow Registeel, which can be caught as Shiny for the first time.
- New GO Battle League updates which are detailed in a new blog post on GO‘s official site.

The first new Community Day dates for the season have also been revealed, so be sure to clear off your calendar if you want to participate:
- December Community Day 2024: December 21–22
- January Community Day: January 5
- January Community Day Classic: January 25
- February Community Day: February 9

Necrozma Fusion Raid Day
Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma will return for a special Necrozma Fusion Raid Day event on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Special bonuses active during the event:
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Necrozma
- Five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs (up to total of 7, including normal two Raid Passes)
- Remote Raid Passes can be used 20 times from Friday, December 13, at 5:00 p.m. to Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. PST.
There will also be paid research that includes additional Raid Passes from spinning Photo Discs at Gyms, increased XP and Stardust, and more.
