American fans have patiently been waiting for Pokémon Horizons, the new Pokémon animated series featuring Liko and Roy, to be available since its debut in Japan almost a year ago on April 14, 2023. Luckily, their time has finally come as Horizons can now be watched on Netflix (affiliate link)! The first twelve episodes are available to stream now.
Pokémon Horizons: a new chapter for the Pokémon anime
Many fans have grown up watching Ash’s journey to become a Pokémon Master through the animated Pokémon series, but after becoming the Alola League Champion and winning the Masters Eight Tournament, it seemed like he had achieved a great deal of mastery in Pokémon battling and it was time for new protagonists to take over.
Liko and Roy, two young Pokémon Trainers, take over as the protagonists for Pokémon Horizons, along with a whole new cast of characters. The show also includes many new Pokémon from the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games.
