There’s never been a better time to play Pokémon GO brand-new Pokémon, especially after the recent reveal of a during the recent Community Day event! Here are some events for the month of October which are worth keeping track of:
Suicune Research
Completing a full week of Professor Willow’s research tasks will reward a special research breakthrough which gives players a chance to catch the last of the Legendary Dog trio, Suicune! There’s also a new Spinda pattern appearing as a quest reward. Finally, shiny Krabby and Kingler are available to catch! This will last through the month of October.
Community Day
This month’s Community Day event will feature the Steel/Psychic-type Pokémon Beldum and take place on Sunday, October 21! It is likely that its shiny form will become available to catch for the first time and evolving a Metang during the event will yield a Metagross with a powerful attack. According to datamining, that move appears to be Meteor Mash. As an added bonus eggs will hatch at just 25% of their normal distance! Lures will also last longer as usual, giving you plenty of chances to attract Pokémon to catch during the three hours.
After last month’s reveal of Meltan following the end of Community Day, it may be worth participating just to see if anything new pops up…
Deoxys EX Raid Battles
Deoxys Normal Forme is the new EX Raid Battle opponent! Taking down this difficult boss has been made slightly easier with the new ability to invite one friend to battle with you each time you receive an EX Raid invite, but be warned: you must have obtained the Best Friend or Ultra Friend friendship level in order to take them along!
Wrapping Up: Mewtwo Raids & Regional Eggs
The ability to hatch regional Kanto exclusives from 7 km eggs has been extended until October 8, so we recommend you take the extra opportunity to add them to your collection while you can. These include Tauros, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime and Farfetch’d which are normally found only in specific areas across the world.
Mewtwo Raids will also leave towards the end of the month, on October 23. Make sure you’ve captured one of the most powerful Pokémon of all time while its available!
That’s all we’ve got at the moment Trainers! Tell us what you’re looking forward to in Pokémon GO this month… or about your recent adventures while playing!
