Pokémon GO network traffic data has revealed a previously unseen model for a Pokémon which may be revealed for Pokémon Let’s Go! Pikachu and Let’s Go! Eevee. The image, shown below, features a blob-like creature with a metal nut for a head. Thanks for finding Chrales!
There is also the possibility that these are some kind of placeholders, but it seems unlikely that Niantic would design something original for them such as this. We’ll see as more information is discovered in the coming weeks.
What do you think of these two? Worthy of entrance into the Pokémon canon? Or just scrap metal?
UPDATE: After Community Day ended in the Asia-Pacific region, these mysterious Pokémon started spawning in Pokémon GO. If caught, they would transform into a Ditto (although cases in which it turned into a different Pokémon have been reported). Below you can see my own encounter with one:

Whether this was intentional or not on Niantic’s part has yet to be made entirely clear.
