With five days to go until Christmas Niantic has announced Pokémon GO’s Holiday 2017 event!
Starting later today at 1pm PST trainers will be able to…
- Take advantage of the increase of Ice-type spawns
- Catch the Festive Hat Pikachu from last year’s event
- Receive a single-use egg incubator from your first PokéStop spin of the day (December 22nd-December 25th)
- Purchase special boxes from the in game shop
This event also introduces the new item Star Pieces which will allow you to earn bonus stardust for 30 minutes, as well as the addition of several Water and Ice-types native to the Hoenn region – including fan favorites Feebas and Milotic! Based on the image it’s also safe to assume that Kyogre will be replacing Groudon as the reigning Legendary Raid Boss once its time is up.
