The official Japanese Pokémon channel on YouTube has uploaded a video of Mimikyu’s new Z-Move which is exclusive the upcoming games Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. It is accessible with a new Mimikyu Z-Crystal and powers up the move Play Rough to become Let’s Snuggle Forever.
In addition, Japanese and North American players can get the original-style Cap Pikachu with code PIKACHUM20 until November 23rd! This works even if you received a different Cap Pikachu during the previous event!

Mimikyu’s exclusive Z-Move is called Let’s Snuggle Forever! Mimikyu will be able to use this Fairy-type Z-Move if it knows the move Play Rough and is given a piece of the exclusive Z-Crystal Mimikium Z to hold.
Up until now, Mimikyu’s Play Rough could be powered up into the Z-Move Twinkle Tackle if Mimikyu was holding a piece of Fairium Z. Twinkle Tackle was a powerful Z-Move in its own right. But the Let’s Snuggle Forever Z-Move that can be unleashed in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, thanks to the addition of the new Mimikium Z, is a hugely powerful move that outshines even Twinkle Tackle. Don’t let its cute appearance fool you!
When Mimikyu’s wishes are in sync with its Trainer’s, it comes up behind its target, enveloping it in the cloth that it wears. Then it uses its full power to show its opponent a little “tough love.”

Have you tried the Magikarp Method? Are you using the Masuda Method? Do you have the Shiny Charm?
Yes to the Shiny Charm, Yes to the Masuda Method, Magikarp method??
You Masuda breed Magikarp instead of the ‘mon you want as it hatches much faster.
Step 1: Have a foreign pokemon (preferably Ditto) and your Magikarp. Save before putting them in the daycare.
Step 2: Put them in and breed a box of eggs, DO NOT SAVE.
Step 3: Remove the Magikarp once you have a box and Hatch the eggs.
Step 4: Is there a shiny ‘karp in one of the eggs? Make a note of which number egg it hatched at, DO NOT SAVE. If there isn’t one then you can save and repeat from Step 1.
Step 5: Soft reset, this time put the ‘mon you want in with a foreign ‘mon (Ditto is still easiest). Breed eggs up to the one you got the shiny ‘karp at. This time it will hatch shiny in the same place as the ‘karp did.
Ditto is best because gender and egg groups are irrelevant. If I didn’t explain it very well I can find the better guide. There’s also stuff to do with egg rejection but it’s more complicated and mostly helps getting IVs, abilities and gender you want.

Yes, as all that matters is that the eggs will still be magikarp so they’ll still hatch fast.

You take one of them out after you’ve collected the eggs. This prevents any more eggs being generated which means you can save after hatching 30 eggs if you didn’t get the shiny. I advise occasionally smashing the big rock on the route below occasionally to get stardust should you run low on money.

Incineroars definitely. I am a huge wrestling fan so I was ecstatic to see a heel wrestler starter Pokémon. It being my two favorite types is a plus.
Speaking of Z-Moves, I feel that the exclusive Z-Moves actually feel like ultimate versions of their base moves. In Sun and Moon, whilst all the moves shared aspects of their original move, they don’t feel like a straight progression and just feel like another similar move or another way of using the same move.

So to people complaining that USUM don’t offer as much as they wanted it to. Are we forgetting about how Platinum is essentially the same game as DP? It’s got minor upgrades that only sort of change the story yet everyone LOVES it. Meanwhile everyone I’ve seen that is complaining about USUM is complaining because it’s not as new of a story as BW2………This is what 3rd version have always been like. The story was never going to be so different that it was brand new. I think over the last 9 years people have forgotten what it really means for there to be a 3rd version game…….

DP has objective problems that hold it back.
The pacing, the story, the speed (it takes like 49 seconds from being spotted by a trainer to choosing your attack) and the dex are awful.
Platinum fixed the pacing, improved the story by actually giving Cyrus a character, sped it up a bit (it’s still slow but not nearly as bad) and added way more options to the dex that made it the best dex in the series at the time
Well I hope they bring all these improvements to the remakes because if I have to play through DP again with such a limited dex and terrible pacing I will kill someone…….(not really XP)

I would argue that USUM has a better Dex than Platinum just imo, but I overall do agree that Platinum solved more than USUM, even if USUM adds more. USUM adds a lot of stuff that is nice as a bonus, but wasn’t wanted or needed.

Actually not true. Most people agree that Diamond and Pearl suck. But Platinum is what brings out the good in Sinnoh. Platinum and HGSS are the best, Diamond and Pearl was a stepping stone to get there

Here’s a major problem
It’s two games. The only other time we have gotten two games that weren’t Remakes or the start of a gen were B2W2 which was totally new.
If this was Pokémon Stars or Pokémon Eclipse, no one would care. But our notions of a third version split up into two is B2W2 and not Platinum. People expect more.

While I won’t say it’s NOT greed I will say at the very least there’s a cohesive reason for it being two games. If they had never implemented the 12 hour time shift between SM then they could very well have made a single 3rd version. It’s more a problem of the mechanic they stuff themselves with than anything else. they wouldn’t have had a reason to make 2 if it wasn’t for that tie shift.

Yeah thing is, Platinum (and Emerald) were 1 game that combined the stories of the initial pair and improved them. Meanwhile, USUM’s plot changes from SM were made just for the sake of it and turn the story into a complete nonsense. Also, Lusamine’s character is completely ruined/contradictory.

Third versions are elaboration – games with core issues like DP got fixed with Platinum
Sequels are addition – games like BW with little to no core issues (at least for the main game) getting a continuation
Games that suited third versions: DP, XY
Games that suited sequels: BW, SuMo

I mean, I’m upset we don’t have Z. And SM made it seem pretty evident that a Z was planned, and supposedly scrapped late into develooment, and the only logical assumption I can really make was that Nintendo showed them the Switch then called Project NX.
The CEO of the Pokémon company was determined the Switch would be a failure though until it released and he saw the numbers
I think it’d do good for GameFreak to get some fresh staff in tbh, USUM seems harder than SuMo and has better original tracks imo so imagine what that would be like with veterans working alongside them to create a totally new game
Nintendo has been passing the torch over to a lot of younger devs lately. Odyssey had surprisingly little involvement from Miyamoto and Splatoon was made by a newer team

Also cannot help but think GF may have helped influence some things for Switch.
You know, this is a very good way to look at it. Hats off to you. I can still enjoy USUM while wishing it was a sequel instead. Or just wishing that Sun and Moon had the story of USUM from the beginning so that a sequel to Sun and Moon could have taken USUM’s place and been even better

Honestly I’m not sure I care if earning money is easy. Other than just getting healing items and Pokeballs during the main story having money isn’t really that big of a deal
Tbh, my favorite thing about USUM is that it fixes the worse totems.
Replaced Salazzle for a Marowak that summons Salazzles, allowing for a cool Detect/Torment Combo that lets Marowak avoid your Pokémon’s super effective move if you only used one.
>Replaced Vikavolt with Togedemaru, who actually utilises its ally well because it’ll take Electric attacks aimed at Skarmory. Skarmory also sets up Stealth Rock to hurt your team.

If you don’t overgrind or use the Exp Share, I can find many struggling with this game in a positive way.

So jumping off of the 3rd version conversation I honestly think that starting next gen they’ll stop it with “versions” altogether. I think they’ll finally make the jump to a single game. They may make sequels or whatever, but I don’t see them charging $60 per game and then doing version exclusives.

Yeah I could definitely see that. Also to kind of amend my exclusives part I could see them making the game so that it auto generates a specific set of Pokemon from a list. So my game would generate one half of the specific list and yours would generate the other half. That way they could still play up the whole trade with friends idea

Additional explanation:
The Lunarians are obviously from the moon as their name implies. The pronouns used to refer to the other jewels “they” is used because they are literally made of minerals and function to some extent through exposure to light-they don’t have a gender. There is currently only 5-6 episodes with the season being only 12 episodes. This is an anime based off of a manga of the same name. I was quite intrigued by the show so I already binge read the entire manga. The setting and character design of the jewels and crystal jems are quite similar, but I think this is the more superior of the two series. Especially if they decide to animate more of the manga because they decide to tackle more mature subject matters.

Sounds like she’s talking about the show forcing progressiveness maybe? It’s like when renaldo spends that whole boring episode trying to be a crystal gem just so they could tell him no in the end. It was pointless and felt forced. When the show forces, for lack of a better word, “progressiveness” (hate to use that) I think it suffers. But when it organically deals with real issues that the established characters would face, such as when Steven got really upset about not being able to age like normal kids (which can be related to body issues) and Pearls initial drama with Rose loving Greg over her it’s AMAZING.

Yes, it is unfortunately because there are rare cases where you’ll actually outspeed something you beat and be able to kill it with a grass move. The literal only mons long reach are useful against are ferrothron and rocky helmeters but even than you can use spirit shackle to avoid contact regardless

It does fix character issues, it’s just that they fixed the character issues for characters that had major roles anyway. Side characters besides maybe Mina and Molayne weren’t really expanded.

I like Lusamine more because they scaled her back. She’s not as far gone as she is in Ultra Sun and Moon, because SuMo made it sound like she absolutely hated her children before she’s beaten as Mother Beast whereas USUM makes it far more clear she loves her children, she’s just far from being in a good mental state.
I liked it too.. just… she still had Lillie kidnapped… and she must have had Aether go after her…. it just makes some of her actions make zero sense. I like her otherwise
Lusamine needed Cosmog because it’s a more efficient way of mass transportation than its evolution. Solgaleo and Lunala have to physically carry the things through the wormhole, whereas Cosmog can seemingly make a wormhole to wherever it wishes and takes someone there.
The Recon Squad teamed up with Lusamine in order to send a mass of strong trainers through to beat Necrozma. Their legend alone wouldn’t be enough for this because by the time they get everyone through Necrozma may of awakened anyway.
That’s a huge shame. But Mina and Molayne were at least characters I wanted to know more about. I don’t get why Plumeria doesn’t redevelop Po town and train Skull Grunts there to take on the trial challenge for a post game story for her…it works so well with the story imo
I think everything Plumeria needed was there already in Sun and Moon. She was a villain, she gets a believable redemption, and she even gets a Z-Ring by the end. I feel like USUM could’ve expanded this and it’s ashame it doesn’t because it’s all there. Hell, an Alola sequel would’ve been far better for this tbh, so I’m sad USUM was chosen over that.
Yeah, pretty much, she just needed some more time on screen to make her more memorable I guess. I REALLY want her to be one of my favs but she just doesn’t have enough time or a big enough role. If you remove her from the story, nothing really changes… :/

My 3DS (It’s a New 3DS XL, btw) is starting to break down too, I guess. The C-Pad it torn, the shoulder buttons are a bit unresponsive, the cursor moves down on it’s own sometimes when I go on a PC in Pokemon, and while this doesn’t affect the actual performance of it, the paint job has peeled a bit

I really can’t. I have OCD and it often seeps into things like this as general obsessiveness. I have to plan my team beforehand and I like them to be useable as competitives too. It also gives me something to do. I create spreadsheets and try to make a good balanced (at least in types) team.

I already mentioned my planned team twice, the second time to declare that Mimikyu will be named Loki and my reasoning behind it. However, because of that and the fact that Togedamaru was buffed this gen. I am thinking of switching out Bipolar the Magnezone with Thor the Togedamaru. One is less offensive to Earthen. I will leave that part as to which one it is to your interpretation.

Honestly when I record I just use my iPhone 7 plus. It has a decent back camera and the front one isn’t terrible either. It can shoot in 4K altho I don’t shoot anything in THAT high a res.I also have a CAD usb mic for VO stuff and a hand stand for my phone. I’d recommend getting a stand that has an adjustable height in some way. Mine can be broken apart so I can choose how tall it is. Can’t remember what it’s called tho sorry. Got it off Amazon tho.
If I ever get a good amount of money tho I’ll likely look into getting a better camera. One that’s specifically for shooting decent picture. Wallet is a little empty most of the time due to bills tho haha

One of the things I really want as someone who breeds Pokemon alot is a screen to keep track of how many eggs I have in my party. I used to use the Super Training screen for it and in gen 4 the Poketch had a screen where you could view your party. So many times I’ve not been paying full attention and have been running around far longer than necessary because I hadn’t realised all my eggs had hatched. It’s a relatively minor thing but one that would benefit me at least quite a bit.

So, with the reveal of Fighter Pack 3 (Injustice 2), they revealed that the TMNT will be in that pack. They don’t reveal whether they’ll be one character or 4 individual characters, but considering Leonardo says “We fight as a team” and the other are behind Leo when the DLC characters are shown walking forward at the end, it could be the former. And, along with them, we’re getting Enchantress and The Atom too, but the TMNT is what I’m really excited about

Alright I’ve got 3 of my team members bred and ready to hatch in USUM. Rowlet and Rockruff I obviously won’t be breeding for as I’ll just get Rowlet naturally as a starter and Rockruff will be Dusk form. The 3 I have bred are Stufful, Sandshrew, and Sandile. Stufful and Sandshrew have egg moves and Sandile is just so I can get it earlier in the game rather than having to wait a long time. Trying to decide if I’ll breed a Dewpider. Not sure I need to tho. The only egg move I’d really want on it is Aurora Beam and I’m not even sure I want/need that anyway.

See I’m of two minds when I play these games. On one hand I like knowing exactly what I’m gonna use so I can keep a cohesive team, but on the other hand I wouldn’t mind just starting a game and choosing once I find cool Pokemon. That ends up leaving me with Pokemon that I swap out tho and that bugs me. I kind of consider every team I make a part of the family so so swapping out mons and then never using them half way through the story is a bummer to me. However that does restrict the range of Pokemon I will end up using. It’s a very weird system I have going for me hahaha. In this case I’m breeding some of them. I did that for B2 as well. I don’t breed for first runs of a gen tho as that seems more organic than injecting Pokemon that I wouldn’t normally have access too into the game.
Yeah but that’s the beauty I guess. Everyone here has their own way and each way is right. We’re all different and it’s that uniqueness that makes this community cool and hot at times 😛
Dewpider gets Sticky Web as an Egg Move in USUM. Stockpile might also be useful for a while as could Mirror coat.
Hmmmm we shall see what I’ll do. Maybe I’ve even wait until I get the game and decide what I really want. Either way Dewpider isn’t too crazy far into the story so it’s not like I’ll have to wait a long time.
I have a 6IV Female in a Net Ball ready to breed with a Sticky Web Male. I am trying to get a foreign Shuckle with good IVs off the GTS for it. Then my plan is to do the Magikarp Method and when it comes up use those as parents so I don’t have to re-breed the Dewpider parent in USUM.
I’ve often thought about doing a playthrough with a shiny Pokemon. I have a ton and some of them aren’t so high a level that I could viably start a game and use it. Never done it tho
First time I did was in X, all but 1 of my team were shiny and took forever to breed. In Omega I only used 2 shinys and they took ages to breed too due to lack of hatch power. Alpha and Sun all but one in each time were shiny but they took less time to get, especially the Sun team.
You know what? I lied. I did use a shiny in at least one of my plays. I used that shiny Metagross in ORAS
I bred my own shiny Beldum in Omega so I could have a better one.

We haven’t had “new” pokémon, but we’ve had new forms, moves and items and guess what? The game just prevents from trading those, everything else, you can trade normally. That’s how it has always been.

Hoenn Really Opened up at the End and Sinnoh had a Fair bit of Backtracking,Unova has the Gym-Cave-Gym part at Mistralton, Kanto had Mt.Moon, and Johto had the Ecruteak Branch and Violet-Azalea-Goldenrod Circle.

I don’t know if you mean it, but the way you express things comes across as passive aggresive and condescending. I don’t want to start beef if you aren’t trying to but it’s honestly annoying.
Gym 5 to Gym 6 has you haul yourself across some of the longest routes in Hoenn and an attempt at an evil team takeover that just feels half hearted because how short and random it feels, especially because it comes before and after far more significant interactions with the evil team. Compare this to between Gyms 4 and 5, where all you do is backtrack. It’s poor pacing because of the sudden jump in spacing.
Fortree to Mossdeep is padded by a filler town that could’ve had all its important assets melded with Mossdeep and two more long routes which don’t have much to note besides the optional safari zone. Mt. Pyre isn’t a problem because it actually ties into to the flow of the plot, but it gets boring when it’s in an already larger gap with nothing else of significance besides itself.
The Climax gap happens with every other game besides Gen V which has it after Gym 8, and it itself is not an issue. It’s the fact is preceeded by two large filler gaps and two evil team interactions when the midgame feels much more watered down.

Regarding Hoenn I feel it does much better than say Kanto, Johto and Sinnoh.
The mid is expectedly less action packed than the climax, it’s like that in all games.
Gym 4 to 5 I agree.
Gym 5 to 6, part of the adventure is to explore and that adds to the experience imo.
For me you get a good amount of things to do between gyms and where there are gaps they are expected e.g. fighting evil team, exploring the region.
If the region and routes were smaller people would complain that its too squashed like they do of Johto.
I feel ORAS addressed certain issues with plot making it more interesting and prominent between gyms.
Hoenn were perfectly fine as far as Pokemon games, I’m still struggling to follow yourself on its issues because I feel that Hoenn in terms of pacing is one of the better regions.
Kalos had a hugeee gap between Gym 1 and 2 now that was quite bad for sure!

So I’m watching this anime called Magi……or well sort of. I got half way through the first season and realized there was a prequel anime about a character that’s in it. So I stopped at a point I thought was right and started watching the prequel. I’m loving this world as a whole. Also Sinbad (the character from the prequel) is amazing. I loved him in the first part of the normal Magi story and I love him in his story. I hope he’s in the rest of the Magi story more. After I finish this prequel I’ll jump back to the normal Magi story

Why couldnt we use them for Tapus?
Because they didn’t weigh enough and it calculated the capture multiplier incorrectly, giving a minus number which meant it would never catch them or Beldum.

Subtly foreshadow it throughout the journey. Allow the Dragon Trio centre stage until post-game. Have people mention it more like “Oh dear Arceus you’re strong”. Have Guardians for each plate as I said before and have each one also leave a small note with a little bit of text about Arceus which you log into your Poketch, but have them be indecipherable until you reach the main Arceus plot.

Probably in the Sinjoh Ruins. I think after Cyrus disappears the rest of them compete for leader position and each chase after Arceus in a different way. Each one has one of the plates you didn’t get in the story and after defeating them they hand them over to you. Most having a change of heart or deciding to pursue something else. Charon is the last one, he has forcibly taken control of Regigigas. He fights you for the Azure Flute. Once defeated Regigigas breaks free of his control and throws Charon Team Rocket Blasting off style. .He’s later found in Lake Acuity having lost his memory (Uxie can be seen floating in the distance). Anyway once you have the flute probably a Temple Guardian fights you one final time after giving some last lore on Arceus. Then once defeated you enter the chamber where Arceus awaits. It is needed to do some thing idk, like Rayquaza was needed to stop the Meteor.

I think it would need to be post-Giratina as that would be main game. Maybe a wormhole opens up and something new enters. I would say they could do Darkrai but 1. that kinda copies Deoxys in the Delta episode and 2. I don’t really see it as that antagonistic that Arceus would be needed.
So Monkeyfuzz gave me a thought, how the effing ell do we feed our pokemon, aside from having their energy restored and injuries heal at pokecenters we do very little to actually feed them proper diets

I always pictured it as it is in the anime. Where there’s a specific kind of Pokemon food you can feed to each or a general brand. Either way it’d be those cylindrical things Brock would always have on him.

that is a very good question, Pokemon do canonically produce waste products and it’s really thought of if a Pokemon is in a pokeball and it needs to sustain itself and relieve itself

I always had a theory that Pokémon are transported to the professor (like in the Anime and manga) but they are in a suspended state where unless the professor or you access it the balls are stuck in some kind of cyber system

I do draw some interesting environments, but i usually don’t go too complicated.

Yeah Mankey till about 20 mins. Ago was actually the weakest member as it kept dying to everything, but now it’s getting better

5th Place goes to best ghost user Acerola. I’m so happy she mad it this far, I actually had hope she would win, but oh well. She was seriously so cute, and strong. I loved her funny smile even though she used Ghost types which are very creepy. And she had (IMO) the hardest trial in all of SM. Definitely one of my favorite characters from SM.

I am SO pissed right now. I got my brand-new Poke Ball New 2DS nine days ago and last night, the cameras suddenly stopped and / or are only partially working.
Scanning QR codes in SunMoon? Works for now.
Yo-Kai Cam (inner and outer cameras)? Neither work.
Yo-Kai QR code scanner? Doesn’t work anymore.
Camera app? Outer cameras don’t work, and freeze up the system. Sometimes it won’t let me view pics I’ve taken.
I don’t save many pictures at all, and no videos. All but one of my big games are on cartridges, so it’s not a storage issue.
No one has held this machine except me. Never been left in a non climate-controlled room, no drops, no spills. My hand to its case, that’s it. I did a full system transfer from my worn-out Crimson Red 2DS. I would just transfer this system to my old Crystal Red 2DS, but you can’t go from old to new.
I’m going to call Nintendo but I am just really sad / disappointed / mad right now and I wanted to vent to some people who’d understand. Also, has anyone here had a similar problem?
I totally feel your frustration. You’ve just purchased a brand new item (2DS) and you’re really excited to use it. Being new you expect nothing less than optimal performance.
Then all of a sudden you start having issues that should never happen.
Ok my advice is check the 2DS is there any external or internal “accidental damage”.
If you have no responsibility (which im sure you dont) basically this way they cant blame you. Do you have any warranty?
If yes, activate it by contacting the warranty provider.
Call Nintendo or preferably the retailer you purchased it from and directly express your disappointment and expectation of immediate action/replacement of the 2DS.
A good tip is to not go completely beserk, say to them as a professional organisation you expect an immediate response, you feel extremely disappointed in receiving an item that is faulty etc
And get your 2ds replaced (assuming its broken and cant be tweaked)

I didn’t purchase the $20 warranty at Gamestop because all my stuff is on there and if I just handed it over, I (probably) wouldn’t be able to do a system transfer. I can check and see if there’s a two-week warranty because it’s been only nine days.
There may be a way to do a system transfer if Nintendo can back everything up while I get a new system if I get it replaced.
It *is* under warranty by Nintendo for a year, and I didn’t do anything to it, so I can send it in for repairs.
Fortunately, I have another 2DS to play USUM on, but no Pokemon Bank, etc. I can evacuate all my Pokemon to cartridges in the meantime.
Oh yes at least you have another 2DS that can cover you.
Yes check for the warranty first see what your rights are and worst case scenario just transfer your mons to the cartidges.
Don’t worry you’ll be fine.
Just make sure to act fast before any potential warranties get void!
My Gamestop opens in an hour. I will call them then. It’s a small store and we are on familiar terms (I’m in there all the time, talk to the employees, etc.)

Tbh it looks perfect to me. Plenty of fire power and all your mons cover/conpelement each other well.
Only real issue imo is many of your team members evolve late except maybe wishiwashi.
You might struggle to ground type opponents.
I would personally replace wishiwashi with something more reliable like a Feraligatr? Slowbro/king??

Well lucky for you there are sooo many water types that you’re spoilt for choice.
You could use Jellicent, Gyarados, Slowbro or King.
Personally I’d say use Sharpedo it’s strong and quite fast and can cover your psychic weaknesses!
Also can mega evolve post game.

Just feel like saying for anyone who wants their USUM run to be more challenging, turn off the Exp. Share and change your mode from shift to set. Sometimes the fact your foe can get a move in when you’re switching can make a world of difference.
I agree, I play like this anyway. It makes it seem more realistic. An opponent saying “Im going to have use gyarados do you want to swtch to your raichu?” Just doesnt sound right. Plus with the new EXP methods playing in set also is not as nerfing as before;

It is quite a bit more challenging. You’ll notice a difference sometimes. Like what happens is (in alola with slow mons) they get a the upper hand and you have to tell which of your will take that hit, and probably another, and kill it. It’s more strategic.

I think Fire/Steel works good. Goats are commonly shown to eat cans so it makes the most sense to me. I suppose Dark could work too, but that all depends on what it evolves into.You either want it to turn into a devil goat or you don’t. so the typing ultimately depends on what the final form looks like. I’m not sure I see Poison tho. I get what you’re saying, but when I think of goats I don’t think of poisonous animal.

I’m still not sure what it’s final typing would be, but what if you’re grass mon started as a Grass/Ground and then changed into Grass/??? after it gets to it’s final form similar to how Rowlet changes from Grass/Flying to Grass/Ghost. I don’t know what your ideal design is, but it could go from the burrowing wombat to that bigger form. If the final form is more similar to that ancestor then it prolly wouldn’t dig anymore and as such would lose the need to be part ground type. Just a thought tho

Haven’t the Mega evolution dex entries always been messed up? I mean they’ve always talked about how the process messes with the Pokemon itself and how it forces their bodies to change in sort of painful ways.

What happened to right side of the Ghetsis’s body? His left arm is concealed and presumably burned due to it being darker color, his left eye is concealed, his mouth is not opening properly at the left side giving it crooked appearance. What was the intention behind this design? What is the symbolism there? Is the concept coming from some historical/mythical figure that no one was able to find yet? Or what happened to him? Was it because of an accident that plays important role in what he has become? Was it some kind of disease? It’s still a mystery.

So 2018 is pretty much confirmed a year of no new pokemon games. We will just have the new electric mythical and movie. Which is weird for Alola region. It seems too soon, it only has had one movie for Alola Ash
There was some Reddit rumor this morning that said Game Freak is being pressured for a 2018 release of the Generation 8 Nintendo Switch game. Part of me hopes this is not true. I want them to take their time on this title. Though the rumor also said that “Pokemon Stars” was real and was simply a port of Sun and Moon to the Switch and used for testing purposes. If that is the case, then Game Freak has been working on and considering a game for the Switch since 2016 or earlier as I remember Pokemon Stars being rumored right after Sun and Moon released. I’m not super worried. I have a feeling that whatever comes out for the Switch will be good.
That wouldn’t surprise me if Nintendo is pressuring them but GF has shown in the past it can stand up for itself. I really hope they don’t rush switch games and make them special!

Yes. I hope that Game Freak’s debut title is just as good and innovative as Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey. I read in an interview somewhere last night that veterans at Game Freak were assigned to the upcoming Switch game while the younger developers at Game Freak were assigned to Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
Yeah well one good thing is GF know that there are a lot of expectations on them with the switch and with the extra power I expect them to deliver.

I’m going to be extremely worried if Pokémon Switch is announced for 2018
This is a unique time for Pokémon because this time around they have no excuses to not do something new and amazing.
They have literally nothing holding them back. They can make a huge world, they have the models and walking animations of 800+ Pokémon, they have an established art style that will transfer to the Switch easier. They have no excuse to not make these games as packed with content as possible
I feel like it’s also a good time to reconsider the roots of the series. I don’t mean red and blue, I mean Tajiri’s original vision. How does the concept of collecting and trading your own monsters translate to a console handheld hybrid?
I personally hope they also hugely revamp the battle system. Put more focus on double and triple battles then streamline them.
I’m kinda rambling really but I guess I’m just saying that game Freak has no excuse to make another gen 6 or 7. Give us another gen 4 or 5

To be fair it’s not really up to Ishihara if GF makes a game for the Switch or not. HE may have not thought it was gonna go well, but if Masuda and the GF higher ups thought it could work then that’s what really matters. That said it’s clear they didn’t get started on it until the last couple of year at the earliest.
He is still the one making the decisions because he is at the top. If he thought differently we probably wouldn’t have USUM because they would have devoted all their resources for the Switch
He’s the president of TPC not GF. They’re technically two different companies. They all just work under the umbrella of the Pokemon franchise.
And then we might not have anything to tide us till the switch games. All in all I think they know what they’re doing.

Here is what I’m thinking. I think the need to simplify some stuff. While I know taking out mechanics isn’t exactly everyone’s favorite thing, maybe they need to streamline the story of the next game and keep all the current mechanics locked to the post game. Also no new forms for the legends that are required for the story. Just make a badass Pokemon and be done with it. Also also maybe make the evil team not be required to use the legends for their plot. Have the legends be a bit more mysterious and in the background. Similar to how Mewtwo isn’t technically in the plot of RBGY. They could still have the evil team talk about it in some capacity or even hint at it in general, but not as a plot device. Further more as far as gameplay goes I don’t ever see them going full open world. They’ve made it clear they’re not ready for that kind of thing. Instead open up the route and cities to FEEL like it’s open world while at the same time keeping them somewhat separate and manageable. Sort of like Mario Odyssey, but the “zones” (routes/cities) would would be connected like they are now in normal Pokemon games instead of us having to “travel” to each place. That way they can allow for camera control and a little bit of free movement, but still keep us in some kind of a track like they love to do.

Of course my ideal Pokémon game would be made my monolith soft but since that’s happening, I still want an opened up world. It just makes sense for Pokémon.
I’d say we’re still a few gens away from them doing a full open world game. Again they’ve made it painfully clear they don’t want to do it. Maybe one day, but until then I’d settle for a sandbox zone style game where while each area is still separate and on a relative track it can still feel some what open. I think baby step are in order here first.
Which is honestly just insane. An open world would make Pokémon such a better experience. It would make the game more about finding my monsters in an intresting way rather than walk and grass and hope RNG gives you the one you want.

I think Game Freak doesn’t know what to do with the franchise anymore. If Nintendo doesn’t order and guide GF to make something like Odyssey or Breath of the Wild, in terms of breaking the mold, we’ll be very disappointed with Pokémon for Switch.

The actual format is not a sandbox. Breath of the Wild is a perfect example of a sandbox-open world game cause it doesn’t give limits to the player. Think on the paraglider, you can use it to go anywhere, while in Pokémon you can’t hop in the back of Charizard and fly to wherever you want.

I’m not quite sure tbh, if they’re distributed evenly across all four islands you’ll probably be able to get it start of Island 3 if they lock some behind Sharpedo Jet and Tauros Charge or the end of Island 2 if they’re all obtainable before leaving the island.
I doubt they’ll be distributed amongst five islands (including Aether this time) simply because how small Aether is in comparison.

Nope. They’re an aesthetic bonus but they all come with three sets of 31 IVs at the least.

You can get heartscales in Sea folk village by going to the restaurant and getting the Z soup or whatever. You get on for each meal and then once a day (or week idk) if you order the big meal then you get 2 because you dine with Hapu. Unless they took that out in USUM I don’t see why you couldn’t have as many scales as you want

Typically with my main runs I try to do some head canons. I like placing my own personality into the story and come up with witty comments. Ultimately it makes me look like a weirdo where I’m just talking to myself hahaha

Don’t get me wrong it’s not like I’m talking to myself super loud! Just occasionally I’ll catch myself saying some stuff or reading text out loud and responding to the characters. It’s especially when I get REALLY into the story.
I was thinking if I end up using an Incineroar he’d have a complex character. Like he’d be a loyal mon/friend that betrays its trainer due to some unnecessary reason. I then proceed to release him and he sadly becomes irrelevant.
I actually love to use my pokemon with a certain personality accordingly. For example, the Infernape I’ll be using is my charactere childhood best friend, my charectere hatched it from an egg after that professor Rowan trew it away because it didn’t had the right talent and there judged him useless. They both bonded and decided to pursue their dream to become stronger ever since. Infernape is the team leader, he never gives up and all chears the others up.
Shortly after my charactere left home to pursue it’s adventure he found a newborn ralts that was really sick, he decided to take care of it and they become close even tho ralts still has a hard time bonding with the other teams member except for budew that she adores.
Budew is the sassy bitch of the group yet she wwould never think twice before to help the others. She feels like she’s the only one allowed to mess with th other team members and they all like it that way.
There’s also grubbin who’s the smart guy in the group but he still has a lot of improving to do before to reach it’s full power. He’s the second strongest guy in the group. Mammoswine is the goofy guy in the group, but dep inside he’s a bit jealous of the bond between his trainer and chimchar even tho his trainer love all the teammates the same. It alwways tries to do it’s best but often do more arm than good.
finally we have noivern who’s a force to recon with but who’s too unassertive to use it. He’s really close to mamoswine and grubbin. Unfortunatly he’s only able to help when the situation gets critical but he’s getting there and work a lot to face his fear of battle and become stronger…
Overall it’s a sweet team with a lot of different peronalities that will have to come togheter in order to save alola.
My USUM team will be: Infernape, Gardevoir, Mammoswine, Vikavolt, Roserade and Noivern. What do you all think of it :)?
What made you start with Chimchar? I like the team. I’ve used all but Roserade. It’s a fun group of Pokemon
Thank you :)! Well, I love fighting types and chimchar is one of my all tim favorite starters so it was a very easy choice :)! Although I had a rough time coming with this team since I hate to have types that are repeating and I wanted to use too many mons such as Ribombee and Incineroar just to name a few…
Wow an Infernape! You’re team has a lot of Sinnoh. I would say it’s very balanced and versatile. You can hit physically and pressure with special attacks.
Excellent teams and I love the choices you’ve made. Mamo, Roserade and Ape stand out!

I can never get through Platinum. DP have ruined the whole thing for me. Maybe when the remakes come out I’ll finally get to enjoy Sinnoh the right way, but for now I have a disdain for the region. I love the Pokemon and the characters are pretty great, but the games mechanics and the region are just so broken that it’s hard to feel like it’s worth it……
Absolutely! I think switch will fix most issues and give a better representation of Sinnoh.
That will make it a good game, you know like how ORAS and XY are.
Least favorite. You’re putting me in a tough position here. If I had to go with least favorite, It’d be ORAS. I didn’t like the fact that there was no Battle Frontier and that you couldn’t rematch Gym Leaders. They were missing a lot of features from Emerald.
Oras as well, it was way too easy and unfortunately, none of the gym battle were interesting or even intense. I don’t remember having any kind of good memory with this game :/

This is real tough as I don’t hate many Pokémon games
If not Core games, then Picross (I deleted it after 5 mins. It was so stupid
But of Core goes too……….. Emerald hands down, you hate stupid pointless things now? At least you get rewarded with something good. In Emerald you must walk up a stupid tower that is annoying to traverse, and get up their for what? Absolutely F*CKING NOTHING! You get a stupid congrats for spending 20 mins to do nothing! I hated Liza and Tate’s Xatu as it caused me two days worth of gameplay just to kill it. Or the fact their is no good place to train well because Golbat makes training a freaking disaster for Heracross!
All in All I like Emerald, but the Battle Frontier can’t even save it from being the lowest on my list

I’m between XY and SM, can’t choose one.
I started playing Super Mario RPG last night for the first time…it’s REALLY good so far. Amazingly polished for a SNES RPG and has really interesting sprite design. Even though I don’t even have the second star yet, I’m still going to recommend it to people.
Also, daily request for Hoenn/Unova/Kalos/Alola Pikachu. There, that’s out of the way.
The different format in the battle and overworld are off putting for me
But I was raised with Paper Mario so it’s understandable

But I don’t use many
Solgaleo. I hated it at first it because I didn’t like that it was based off of a lion like Litleo and Pyroar from the Generation before (the family of which I loved and used on my team in X). I wanted the mascot of Pokemon Sun to be based on a griffin when we were still in the stages of not knowing what the mascots for Sun and Moon would be. It took a while but I must say I really like the design of Solgaleo now more than I did when it was first announced.
Midnight Lycanroc used to be hated by me. Now its rallying for my favorite with Weavile.
