New Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Trailer & Features Revealed

As promised, a brand new trailer showing off new features and story elements of Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon has been released!

New Information:

  • Team Rainbow Rocket has assembled under Giovanni to bring together the biggest baddies of the last 20 years.

In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, the greatest villainous organization in history appears! It’s Team Rainbow Rocket—made up of the bosses from past titles in the Pokémon series!

The boss of Team Rainbow Rocket is none other than Giovanni, who was also the boss of the villainous organization known as Team Rocket in Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue, the first games in the Pokémon series.

But that’s not the worst of it—Giovanni has gathered into one group the bosses from the various past games in the Pokémon series! You and your allies will have to square off against what might be your greatest challenge yet!

What in the world could Giovanni and his allies be after, appearing in the Alola region so suddenly…?

  • New Battle Agency feature allows you to battle using rental teams!

When you don your sunglasses and become an “agent” at this facility, you can take part in Single Battles using rental Pokémon. You’ll have three such Pokémon to command as you try to defeat the three Pokémon in your opponent’s team. Try to win your way to being the best of all the agents!

  • Totem Stickers seem to take the place of Zygarde Cells and can be found throughout Alola and ultimately redeemed for totem-like Pokémon!

With Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, you’ll be able to collect stickers called Totem Stickers all around Alola. Totem Stickers glitter and shine in the field.

If you collect these Totem Stickers, you’ll be able to get a huge totem-like Pokémon for your team, based on how many stickers you’ve collected. It’ll surely shock your opponents to see you using these oversized totem-like Pokémon in battle!

The totem-like Pokémon that you can get as allies can differ based on whether you’re playing Pokémon Ultra Sun or Pokémon Ultra Moon. For example, you can get Lurantis as an ally in Pokémon Ultra Sun or Salazzle in Pokémon Ultra Moon. Search every corner of the Alola region and collect masses of Totem Stickers!

  • Catch lots of Legendary Pokémon depending on your game!
    • Pokémon Ultra Sun only: Ho-Oh, Raikou, Groudon, Latios, Dialga, Heatran, Reshiram, Tornadus, Xerneas.
    • Pokémon Ultra Moon only: Lugia, Entei, Kyogre, Latias, Palkia, Regigigas, Zekrom, Thundurus, Yveltal.
  • Island Scan feature returns with new Pokémon, including Charmander, Grovyle and Greninja!
  • Next batch of new Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon information will drop November 9th, 10pm PST (November 10th JST/5am UTC)

  1. Fun fact the two most unused typings in Pokémon are tied for a total of 6 each including not pairing with each other is Poison and Normal types

    As you can’t find
Normal/Poison, Steel, Ghost, Bug, Ice or Rock

Poison/Normal, Ice, Fairy, Electric, Psychic or Steel

  2. @lastlittenfanstanding:disqus late but for Fakémon advice but seeing as it grows a rock from its back I’d have the second form beginning to grow rocks on its back which makes it hunch a bit, so it goes

    Bipedal – > Hunched – >Quadrupedal

  3. Fakemon Bug Legendary Duo:

Bug/Ice is normally weak to 2x Flying, 2x Steel, 4x Rock, and 4x Fire, but this new ability halves super-effective moves so Flying and Steel deal 1x, and Rock and Fire deal 2x. Maybe something like:

Crysoth (CRY – salth) (Cresent + ice + moth)
    The Ice Moth Pokémon
    Type: Bug/Ice
    Height: 6′ 11″/2.1m
    Weight: 153.7lb./70.0kg
Ability: Sturdy Down (down as in feathers and fluff) – Cuts the power of super-effective moves.

Crysoth is said to follow the orbit of the moon. Whereever there is the moon overhead, then Crysoth is within the area, but ironically is rarely seen.

Or Maybe a Bug/Psychic moth legendary. Bug/Psychic would be weak to 2x Dark, 2x Ghost, 2x Bug, 2x Flying, 2x Rock, and 2x Fire.

Dozoth (pun on doze off) (Doze + moth)
    The Dream Pokémon
    Type: Bug/Psychic
    Height: 6′ 01″/1.8m
    Weight: 105.5lb./48.0kg
Ability: Sweet Dreams – Sleeping Pokémon on the field recovers HP each turn. (restores 1/16 each turn)

Dozoth has been known as the Guardian of Dreams and often would appear only in one’s sleep. It is said that the down it sheds helps medicate both people and Pokémon with insomnia.

  5. FANMON TIME!

    Pokedex Number: 186
    Corrism
    Classification: The Coral Pokemon
    Height: 3’02
    Weight: 27.8 Lbs
    Typing: Water/Rock
Ability: Skill Link/Natural Cure (Hidden Ability: Regenerator)
    Stats:
    HP: 85
    Attack: 95
    Defense: 145
    Special Attack: 45
    Special Defense: 145
    Speed: 15
    Base Stat Total: 530
Pokedex Entry: When sunlight touches its coral ends, they will vividly shine the colors of the rainbow. Contrary to their smooth appearance, they are extremely rugged and harming them is extremely difficult due to its layers of coral. The value and aesthetic they provide have lead Corrism to be a common target of poachers. Unsurprisingly, almost all poachers drown and fall attempting to snatch their special coral.

    • Ok no for real this is like combining gyms and trials. THIS is what all the challenges should be like. You can have basically the best of both worlds and it’s not just about level grinding. You’d beat the gym trainers and then have to solve a mini puzzle like dungeon to get to the badge. I’d be so down for that. Obviously some gyms (and puzzles) would vary in difficulty, but ultimately I think it’d be more fun and engaging

  6. Is there a way to deconstruct Zygarde after you’ve made 10%? I don’t think there is, but I wasn’t sure. Kind of wish I could get all cores/cells in the cube.

  7. I should be playing odyssey but I’m boiling down to the last few kingdoms
I only have 222 moons left (777 moons in total) and I’m honestly starting to burn out

    • Hey dude choose to read at your own risk as its a big spoiler on moons, but

if my friend was correct from the videos he’s watched then like the last 100 moons or so you have to buy in the game. I won’t tell what the prize is because there’s only so much that even from a spoiler I’d want spoiled

  8. Completed the cascade kingdom in Odyssey and now onto complete the hat kingdom whatever it’s called. But I accidentally bought 10 power moons thinking that’s just how that kingdom worked and wasted 1000 coins

    Pokedex Entry: 88
    Plagymph
    Classification: Shadowy Insect Pokemon
    Height: 1’01
    Weight: 0.3 Lbs
    Ability: Plaguebringer
    Stats:
    HP: 30
    Attack: 30
    Defense: 30
    Special Attack: 70
    Special Defense: 30
    Speed: 100
    Base Stat Total: 290
Pokedex Entry: Plagymph flies about peacefully, unaware of the mass destruction it leaves in its wake. As its flies it releases dust from its wings that stick to surfaces and infect them with plagues. A single Plagymph can reduce a verdant field to a barren dirt patch in a matter of minutes, Interestingly, they seem to be in control of this otherwise rampant ability when they bond with a trainer.

    Pokedex Entry: 89
    Locurse
    Classification: Doombringer Pokemon
    Height: 3’01
    Weight: 9.1 Lbs
    Typing: Bug/Ghost

    Defense: 70
    Special Attack: 118
    Special Defense: 80
    Speed: 132
    Base Stat Total: 520
Pokedex Entry: It casts a plethora of different plagues upon its opponents in order to quickly overwhelm them so it can defeat them with ease. This has earned it the name “Death Locust” among many people. This reputation has lead people and other Pokemon to avoid Locurse at all costs. Because of this, Locurse are extremely quick to bond with anyone who’s shows it care and will protect them with its life.

Plaguebringer: All attacks the user performs apply a random damaging status condition on their foe (Toxic, Poison, Curse, Will o wisp). In exchange, the user looses a small amount of health (1/8th) each time an effect is applied.

I’m scrapping it…………… Just kidding I’d never do that after how much positive feedback its very existence got XD

But about it I have a name I think would fit, but want your opinions

Vapir- (Vapor+Tapir). My only issuse I see is it sounds similar to Vape or Vaping

  11. I really need to start planning my USUM team. I only know Araquanid and Mimikyu and I’m shiny breeding those in that game instead of beforehand. I think I need at least 1 ‘mon I like non-shiny that I can trade the egg over for to use as my starter.

    • It should be more similar to Quilladin in size imo. I’d also change the leaves to look a bit simpler like Grotle, and maybe have some ‘feature’ leaves of a different types in various places. I also think the leaf eyebrows look a bit off, I’d remove them. Finally you could make the stomach patch a bit leaf-like in shape.

      • The size can still be easily changed.
The Leaf eyebrows are related to the other 2 stages, but Maybe I’ll try to make them look better.
And I tried to make it Leaf shaped some time ago, but it was really weird and off so I scrapped that idea

  12. @TheLastKurusu:disqus Thanks for your help earlier. Idk why I didn’t think I could separate the forms back into cores and cells. I got it now tho.
