New Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Trailer Shows off New Rotom Dex Features

The information from CoroCoro about new features in Pokémon Sun& Moon has been released in a new trailer!
Here are the main takeaways from the new information:

  • Necrozma, and its Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings Formes, can learn a new Psychic-type attack: Photon Geyser! It will use either Attack or Special Attack… whichever of Necrozma’s stats is higher!
  • Dusk Mane Necrozma and Solgaleo can use the new Z-Move Searing Sunraze Smash by powering up Sunsteel Strike and holding Solganium Z
  • Dawn Wings Necrozma and Lunala can use the new Z-Move Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom by powering up Moongeist Beam and holding Lunalium Z
  • Both new Z-Moves ignore the target’s ability when attacking
  • Rotom Dex can be communicated in more ways and the way you do so can change its personality
  • A new feature, the Roto Loto, grants new items which can increase EXP, prize money or other factors for set amounts of time
  • Befriending the Rotom Dex will eventually allow you to use multiple Z-Moves during battle, but probably not in competitive matches

  1. Does anyone have a Shiny Minior?? I doubt I have anything good for trade but I’ll send you $10,000 via PayPal

Nah but honestly I feel Pokémon-y today so if anyone wants to trade let me know ?

  2. I will pay double the amount Soggy Auggy is offering in Monoploy (board game) currency for those who do not trade Soggy Auggy a Shiny Minior. It will be sent to you by Carrier Pigeon. First 5 people will get a bonus shrunken head.

  3. The amount of dialogue and cutscenes before you even get to a pokemon in sun and moon is absolutely ridiculous. You NEED to be able to skip this. Im tired of the hand holding

  4. Okay so I know I’ve had a lot of criticisms for pokemon recently, but really I think they’re all generally pretty fair so here’s so more: we should be able:
    1) To mass release pokemon. Even pokemon go has this. Come on gamefreak.
    2) To trade just items
    3) To put items on pokemon in pokebank
    4) To IV judge pokemon within pokebank. I’m paying actual money for this service and while I love it, I’d like some more features and stuff.

  5. If you have a fakemon region:
What are the first fakemon you can catch in your region (not counting starters) and what are their evos? The first mons you can catch are usually very interesting

    Mine are:
    Polemask
Regional mammal, pure Normal type. Evolves into Polecante a pure Fighting type.
    Gullp
Regional Bird, Normal/Flying. Evolves twice, into Alkatross and Storkder both Dark/Flying types.
    Pierbug
Regional Bug, Normal/Bug type. Evolves twice, into Normal/Bug Roginse, then into Electric/Bug Thundrogi.
    Slavian Bidoof
Electric/Normal type, Slavian Bibarel is Electric/Water.
    Nurspirit
Pure Fairy type. Evolves into this Region’s Nurse Joy helper Heallover, also a Pure Fairy type.

        • then some fields and where you find the first major city and you can find plenty of weird pokemon like
          Beannik Grass
          Stoofy Fairy
          Slowth Normal

then finally farmlands where you can get Eggbryo and Calfalfa and Sparkits (And maybe Spectini if you go at night)

    • Regional Rodent: Normal-type shrew called Shroxic, evolves into the Normal/Poison Solvenodon

Regional Bird: Chactac, Normal/Flying magpie thief which becomes Dark/Flying after evolving. Its evos are Mugpie and Swingler.

Other early catches are an oily terrier, a pussy willow cat, and a snow vole.

      • Eh screw it, bored.

The oily Scottish terrier is called Puptrid, Poison/Normal. It’s the Oil Spill Pokémon. Evolves into Hirsutox.

The literal pussy willow/catkin is called Kittykin, pure Grass. It’s the Mew Leaf Pokémon. Evolves into Ragaroot.

The snow vole Pokémon is called Screedy, and it evolves from pure Normal to the Normal/Ice Volar. So greedy, it isolated itself in a cold area. They only come out of isolation for food and mating.

  6. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner but instead of banking all of my breedjects for trades I’ll just update my living dex with the best ones so it’s easier to breed other pokemon in the future

  8. Game thingy. If someone comments, either give them a team of your Fakémon that you think fits them, or a team of real Pokémon from your favorite type that you think fits them best.

    Trying to include everyone ?

  9. Alright i seriously need some crowd sourcing on this
my Pseudo legend is supposed to be a pokemon composed of Lucky symbols
and the names need a serious overhaul

    Luckee-Joygon-Furyu
these are pitiful at best and trying to find lucky words that mesh organically with draconic words is very difficult any suggestions

    Reply
      • yeah but these dragons are benevolent but incredibly scarce (Hence why they’re only found in one location at a 1% encounter rate)
Luckee could stay for now but what about the other two

        maybe
        Charmagon into Fulicitous

    • Slavic Mythology has a God of Luck (not fortune, luck) named Bialobog (He also has a counterpart God of Bad Luck Czarnobog). That could be useful. Maybe. Probably not.

  10. Since we now have 5 USUM z-moves now, and judging by the rate the z moves are being revealed, what are 2 more (or one more) Alola Pokémon you want to have a Z-Move?
