Participants in Nintendo’s Creator Program will no longer be able to livestream gaming sessions on YouTube. Channels currently signed up to Nintendo’s revenue sharing program are entirely prohibited from livestreaming under the new rules, unless they choose to de-register the channel and register their videos individually. Separate channels by the same content producer are allowed however.
Hopefully this will not impact any Pokémon channels; Pokémon content is not managed by Nintendo under their program, but channels may be part of Nintendo’s program.

Celinedion the Vaporeon got me through LeafGreen, Sakamoto the Glaceon kicked ass in Platinum, Fireball the Flareon burnt everything up in HeartGold, and I’ve had some Umbreons I didn’t get quite as attached to (Nightmare and Ringu).

1) Why do you think they brought back Anabel of all characters for the Ultra Beast plot line in SM? Was this game freak trying to make up for our outrage at no Battle Frontier in ORAS?

X was my first game, and I liked it a lot. (Played it and Y numerous times). It had some flaws though. Mainly I think that the Regional Dex was too big (450). I had a hard time deciding what to use. And I still get lost in Lumiose City, and wanted a way to deselect the rollerskates.
I don’t really play for the story because this is it: a guy loved his Floette so much that when it died he killed a bunch of other pokemon to bring it back to life and then it left him again and so he was going to destroy the whole world? It’s kind of poignant, but it’s a really dumb plan. Thank God he didn’t have a kid. And Team Flare was going to straight-up kill everyone who didn’t pay enough to be in their cult because…? Well, a 10 year old with some magic animals foiled that plan so it’s all good.

-I think in terms of adaptation I find it was the closest to the books. Granted, it is also the shortest book, but still.
-The animatronic work with Fawkes and the Basilisk is still pretty amazing.
-The music, back when John Williams was the composer, really shone here. This is honestly a big part of it.
-I love the mystery regarding the plot as well. It’s simplistic given the stories were still intended for kids at this point, but still fun!
-This was alsp before they made Ginny super lame in the movies

My favorite is book 6. It really goes deep into voldemort’s past, so he’s way more fleshed out and not a trope darklord in an archetypal good vs evil battle.
True, I do like that about book 6. I prefer the lighter 4th, where we get lots of creatures, “Mad Eye”, learn a bit about other wizarding schools etc. Also book 6 kills one of my favourite characters. I really love all the books though.

I always used Ecruteak as a hub for catching the beast. Fly to Ecruteak (which will trigger the beasts to move significantly). Then just head down to Route 37, keep encountering Pokemon and after like the third or fourth, head back to Ecruteak by bike, cycle back to 37 and rinse and repeat until you encounter it to be able to track it
So I get the Pokeflute station on the radio finally and go to Snorlax to catch it so I can continue moving on…Then it hits me….Why am I not sring for this like I plan to do for the legendary birbs? and thus I start my potentially very long journey to catch a shiny Snorlax………*sigh*

I like Dragonair more than Dragonite. It goes from being this lithe, majestic blue sea dragon to Orange Barney.
I like both, I do think it could’ve stayed a bit closer to Dragonair in appearance and been better. I would’ve liked it if it kept Dragonairs’ crests and gems.
At least keep it blue.
That too, I think as Dratini to Dragonair gets darker blue it could’ve done the same. I do still like it as it is though.

Well, I’m working on a playthrough of Alpha Sapphire (first AS, did OR several times). As usual, trying new ‘mons, so I picked a Treecko instead of my usual Mudkip. I realized that I’ve used so many different ones already. Right now I have a Grovyle, a Vigoroth, and a Dustox that I unexpectedly love (Shield Dust is a great ability).
I want to use a Tropius as more than an HM slave this time (Bananasaurus is one of the BEST HM slaves, so is Lanturn), and I’d like a Seviper too, but I don’t know what else. Oh! Latias is one of my favorites, so planning on using her.
I like things like Linoone that can learn lots of HMs and also have a helpful ability like Pick Up.
Treecko was my first Hoenn starter when my brother and I played it in Japanese on emulator. We also ended up with a Cascoon but I don’t remember getting very far as we couldn’t understand it.
I’ve always had a Linoone with me. Swagzagoon, Broom, Bandida, and this time, Brush.
Post or late game I’ve got it made with just 2:
Braviary that knows Strength, Fly, Cut, Rock Smash
Lanturn that knows Surf, Dive, Waterfall, Flash
Ugh… it takes way too long to access the pokemon center. Like the entire process is painfully slow. Lets hope they change it in Ultra Sun & Moon.

It was actually Wigglytuff that took out Kingdra. It has beaten the Ace Pokemon of 2nd, 3rd, and 8th Gym leaders and the Ace Pokemon of the 4th Gym along with two of his Haunters. So I am having a great time using Wigglytuff. I initially chose to use that line because it was a unique Pokémon that I could catch early on in my team.

The only problem with SRing for Snorlax is that you have to keep turning back on the flute music to get it to wake up. You can preset the station, but you gotta go into the app every time you reset……

They’re fairly easy to find in ORAS. Hordes (like this), DexNav chaining (the sneaking), and chain fishing are good ways to find shinies. If you get the shiny charm after completing the National Dex, your odds go up higher.
Still, for this particular Spinda, it was a 1/4096, since I don’t have the Shiny Charm, and I wasn’t DexNav chaining.

So the more I think about the more I think I’ve figured out who my partner Pokemon would be if they were real. I’ve always thought of Sneasel as being my favorite Pokemon and for a while it really was, but I was never sure it would be my partner without a doubt. Now that I think about it tho there’s a Pokemon that I’ve always liked and was actually my first Pokemon in a game that I fully beat. That’s Typhlosion. I would count Pikachu as my “first” Pokemon, but I barely played Yellow when it first came out and at that point I wasn’t sure I fully liked it. Not many years later (just a little after GS came out) I played Silver to completion and while I can’t for the life of me remember who was on that team I can however remember that my starter was Cyndaquil. I’ll never forget that Cyndaquil that would eventually become a Typhlosion. I would then much later use Typhlosion in HG when it released back in 2010 and honestly I still really love the Pokemon line. All 3 in that evolution line have always been on the long list of my favorite Pokemon, but they’re also the only ones (except Sceptile which honestly has a similar story) that have a REALLY special part in my heart……..Whelp there it is hahaha

I think it’d be fine, maybe they’d have to keep the flames regular colour, though Shiny Rapidash has Grey Flames and Emboar has Blue so it should be OK.

Has anyone ever done a Nuzlocke? I did one in OmegaRuby a few years ago, and it ended in tragedy. I ended up with 6 badges, but was DESTROYED by Ace Trainer Jennifer’s Milotic (shortly after Winona’s gym).
I have all the tragic details written down, and everyone is saved in Pokemon Bank (I couldn’t bear to release them). This is also the reason behind my grudge against Roselia. One killed Bloodsplash, my Magikarp shortly before she was going to evolve.

Why are there so many great ‘mons in Hoenn? I can’t decide who to use. So far I have my Grovyle, my Dustox, and a Seviper who is a total badass. I have a Vigoroth who I’ll probably phase out.
I know I want to use Tropius, and I’d like to use Latias (even though I’ve sort of used one before), but I may want to hold off on her bc there are so many I don’t like that I want to give a chance.

One thing I like about the older games vs the 3DS era games is the difficulty. I started with the 3DS games and was totally spoiled.
But in Pokemon LeafGreen, Platinum, and HG, I had to really think about which pokemon got which TM because you got ONE or had to spend a lot of time at the casino, and if my Flareon was strong on attack but weak with special attack, then too bad: I had to spam Fire Blast and make it work. Also there was strategic leveling: if you evolved too early, sometimes you missed out on a great move. Even with the new Exp. Share off, it’s not too hard.
Those things aren’t as big of a deal anymore, and it takes away from the experience a bit. I love Pokemon Refresh and Amie, and the 3DS era has done great things with breeding, especially in SunMoon (the judge thing in the box is the BEST, I used to take every single hatchling to the judge 5 at a time).
Pros and cons. I love seeing my Pokemon pull through at the last second, whether it’s from luck or from “It withstood the attack didn’t want to make you sad.”

The older games aren’t difficult at all when it comes to actual gameplay, they just make some processes unnecessarily cumbersome.
Exactly. for a perfect example EXP. Until gen 6, EXP would be literally divided amongst pokemon if they came out in battle. It made training that much harder. Not only that EXP also depended heavily onthe level of your pokemon. Now Im not sure if this is a thing anymore, but I know the higher level your pokemon was the less EXP one would get. It would just get very tedious grinding. I know people hate the new EXP share, but it’s made grinding so much better.
Only Gen V used that levelling system iirc, VI and VII went back to the old one
Shame because imo that was the better system, gave GF a better control over your level but it was a nightmare for people who liked to be above the level curve they try to set

Higher level than opponent = lower exp, lower level = higher exp is the one I’m on about as a Gen V alternative. I just preferred it because it was easier to see where GF wanted you to be imo (so less grinding for me, but others may still feel the need to grind) + it made grinding drastically lower levelled team mates easier
It didn’t give you less exp when you were higher leveled, it just boosted the amount when you were more or less equal or underlevelled. If you’re higher leveled any Pokémon at lower levels will feel like they hardly give exp since you need a lot more to level up.

It wasn’t hard. It required me to get up at 8.30, take the train to a friend of mine I was visiting anyway, just walk in the store 15 minutes after opening time, see a huge pile of 100+ consoles lying about, pick one up and pay MSRP.

It crashed 3 times when Ohmori tried to use a z-move. It was not the stream cause the italian game was the one on streaming and it gave an error of communication so it was Ohmori’s who kept crashing. At the end they gave up and quit the battle…

Halfway through the vid, and since I played Platinum for the first time just the other day, I want to say I don’t remember what Team Galactic wanted exactly. They blew up some stuff… and then Cyrus went to the distortion world… and? What were the grunts for if he was going to destroy the whole world?
At least in Team Flare Lysandre made them pay like $5 million to join up and they presumably wouldn’t be wiped out.
Cyrus wanted to create a world without emotion; he believed it to be a weakness of humanity that lead to strife and suffering. He thought getting rid of it would end fighting. And what’s great about platinum is that he actually sort of achieves his goal. He’s left to live in the distortion world, a world devoid of emotion.
As for the grunts, they were just a means to an end. He needed them to distract and slow people down so he could make his real moves.
Okay, that makes as much sense as any. Have fun in the distortion world, Cyrus: it looks hella boring and I’m not sure there’s any food in there.

So apparently, the SNES Mini uses the exact same motherboard as the NES Mini, and that’s why they stopped delivering the NES Mini for a while. They needed to convert all boards to SNES Mini to try and meet demand, and next year they can easily start producing both once peak demand has been met.
Just saw the Lego Ninjago Movie and it was great! I liked it a lot, it’s great as a movie on it’s own and really not that bad as an adaptation of the show. And I actually want to listen to the soundtrack, which I don’t usually do. Few complaints:
-More screen time for ninjas that aren’t Lloyd would be nice
-One of my favourite ships of all time, Jay and Nya, wasn’t there, at all
-Should have more time after the cat puking garmadon out scene.
But, the third argument could be fixes by a sequel. Or a tv show. wait…

Also. You dont know what true power is until to use Focus Punch Mega Heracross. It honestly feels SOOOOO amazing using it. Like you can feel all the power coming off the screen! Heracross is such an amazing mon. It might bypass Vikavolt as my favorite is this Focus punches keep happening. I got a CRIT Focus Punch. Like I think the other girl actually died from the impact because she did not make a single move for the rest of the game. GG World.
