  1. At the start of the SuMo metagame three “promising” grass types emerged into the fray
One of them basically had a real life version of that gif of the guy walking into the party with the pizza to find the whole place on fire and dropped down to RU (I mean it’s an anchor so dropping fits) and became good there. That left two grass mons; Decdueye and Tsareena
Both of which had the ability to hazard clear and both had different signature moves that were vital to their success…
Unfortunately once UU became a shitshow the two dropped to RU as well because of their bad matchups
Deci became a wallbreaker and gained the ability to LITERALLY SLAUGHTER entire teams if they lacked a dark type that could live its attacks/a really strong physical mon who could hit first or live its attacks
    Tsareena….. kinda just died

Tsareena, despite its slammin’ body… I mean moveset and 120 base attack, ended up being weak offensively due to its inability to set up, but had every single option it needed to be a supportive Pokemon

Enter it’s rapid spin Uturn trop kick synthesis set
A set made to hazard clear, weaken physical bois, stall certain mons, and make priority worthless! It also kills a lot of physical ground water and rock types!!!….

    Thats all it can do… like… that’s literally it….. it’s… kinda sad

    1. Terrible rapid spin type: Jesus christ ,…. just…… it takes damage to all hazards and it’s weak to five fucking types with zero immunities… at least Deci with Defog could actually come in on certain mons and either force them out or come in on a certain move harmlessly… Tsareena has no ability to do this… it’s purely support… and it’s hard to make it fit anywhere
    2. No set up… or well… a decent speed…or anything to make use of its admittedly good offensive moveset
    3. This is the biggie…for a defensive mon its VERY easy to wear it down
Burn it, poison it, paralyze it , wittle it down, trap it. This thing is literally weak to every single non-offensive strategy. Hell, even fucking weather shuts it down because it can’t synthesis spam… It’s honestly not a good mon and the fact that it does literally nothing on its own is rather depressing. Do not touch this mon till it drops till NU, it might see some use there

      • Chooses the starter weak to yours, has a crappy team throughout the game and his personality doesn’t reflect that of a rival at all.

      • Emotional and weak characters are relatable and therefore more interesting to me aside from being realistic as well. And serious if done incorrectly can result in a very annoying and boring character

But example, if a serious character showed any kind weakness or emotion (preferably a little cuz that fits serious personalities and stuff) they would be more interesting to me.

        • True. They are interesting but I wouldn’t like Hau taking that role in USUM. I want him to be serious and determined. I think that would be really cool

          Reply
          • Maybe serious only when the circumstances requires so, because the game seems more serious so I doubt he’s going to be so happey and chill. (I mean, the poster hinted at him getting more serious, but it’ll probably just in the climax)

    • Nah, the RS were, barely any personality and felt like NPCs

But I can understand how Hau might be annoying to some

Also, how is Hau worse than the Kalos rivals even?

      Reply
        • But this is just his ream which is not that bad, and I guess they wanted to do something different by making him choose the weak starter? But that doesn’t matter because his Alo.Raichu kills my team anyways.

          Reply
          • And he picks the starter weak to yours, but later he gets an Eeveelution that’s the type with an advantage over your starter. Plus his Raichu.

  2. Shaymin is the worst mascot Pokemon of the series. Competitively speaking its horrible

edit: When I say mascot I’m referring to the Mews, Victini’s etc

  3. So my Pokemon daily routine consists of 4 parts in no particular order

    1. PJ forumns (hoping for USUM news eternally)
    2. Kalos anime
    3. Playing through a game, Y atm
    4. Wrecking OU with hyper offense

  4. They should really give us Zangoose/Seviper evolutions by trading both with eachother. Zangoose gains Poison typing and Seviper Normal, that’d be pretty cool imo.

    • I think both evolving a new type to try and combat one another that actually ends up in them still being neutrally effective against each other would be good. I feel Zangoose could gain Fighting or Steel.

  5. I really like this

    Netherval
    The hellfire Pokémon
Ability: Ionization – Fire and Electric moves are absorbed instead of doing damage & raise Sp.Atk and Speed by one stage
    Type: Fire/Electric
    Height: 13’03”
    Weight: 763.6 lbs

    Base stats
    Hp 90 | Attk 110 | Defense 65 | Sp.Atk 160 | Sp.Def 85 | Speed 90

    Signature move
    Plasma Vortex
    BP: 130
    Acc:90
    PP:5
    Type: Fire
    Category: special
The user blasts an unwordly amount of pyroelectric plasma at the opponent. In the rain, this move is Electric type
