Pokémon GO players and fans of Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald will be pleased to hear that Niantic has introduced data for the 135 monsters from the series’ third generation.

While their release into the wild isn’t expected any time soon, if the development cycle follows the schedule of Generation II’s introduction it could only be another 2-3 months until Hoenn natives start popping up in your neighborhood. Niantic may be saving the release for a holiday break (Thanksgiving or Christmas) or even something special to start 2018 with.

We’ll keep you updated with any further developments! What Gen III Pokémon would you most like to catch? Personally I am pumped at the mere prospect of adding the pretty Pokémon Chimecho to my party!

  1. Interesting. Still wish they’d give up on the whole walking around thing and add a joystick. I don’t have time to leave my house. I got shiny hunting to do. Even just got shiny dialga in AlphaSapphire. Wouldn’t of happened if I was catching Pokémon outside in Pokémon Go.
