Two new themes have arrived in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS. One is based on the “Look to the Stars” merchandise line (P-P-Pokémon Stars…*sob*) and the other based on the Pokémon Pop line which was the inspiration for our previous logo.
What do you think? They’re almost sure to come to the west so will you be buying either?

Just had the wierdest Pokemon dream last night where Ash was winning a Pokemon league with Complete Zygarde for some reason.
That is definitely a dream. I don’t think Ash will win a league championship for a while, since the pokemon company/ gamefreak still need to make money. He will win a league after gamefreak announces the pokemon mmo with every region in it.

I had a dream as well. We actually got news on Pokémon USUM. Alola Granbull was announced (personally I don’t think it will get a regional form) and I was excited to go onto Pokejungle to learn more. BW had data for every Gen 3 key item, and returned the Dive Ball to its original purpose. Also, GameFreak tends to just leave data in their games instead of removing them.

Something about it was retconned. I remember reading/watching about it when looking at Hoenn remake stuff back then.
No it didn’t. It had all of the gen 4 items because it ran on the same system but Gen 6 & 7 are not the same way. Gen 4 has items like the Red and Blue orb

We are getting USUM instead of gen 4 remake, and if the switch game are the remakes it wouldn’t make sense putting the key items in a 3ds game
unless its a dual release or they port the 3DS engine to Switch

What’s your favorite Final Fantasy game? Usually, during the Summer, I try to play a few older titles. I’ve played through III, IV, and V last summer; I’m currently playing through Final Fantasy VI. By far, Final Fantasy VI is my most favorite Final Fantasy title! The characters, motives, story, music, and world are all just amazing! If you haven’t played Final Fantasy, I recommend starting with VI.
Additionally, what’s your least favorite Final Fantasy? Even with Final Fantasy II and VIII existing, I seriously hate everything about Final Fantasy XIII (including XIII-2 and Lighting Returns). I surprised that a lot of players loved Lightning after they despised the games.

Every character has a motive for wanting a defeat Kefka (aside from Mog, Gogo, and Umago). You seriously feel for everyone in the story. Kefka basically took over in less than year before Celes woke up from her coma.
FFII was just awful. They did the leveling system justice in the Saga games, but it was just poorly executed in FFII. I never played the game, but I seriously plan to skip it. Next game I’m playing after FFVI is FFVII. Also, did you like FFXIII?

I started the battle using Sunny Day. I got confuse ray’d which caught me off guard because I expected Xatu to use U-Turn into Slowbro. So i used a Full Heal and Swept his entire team with Flame Thrower. When Slowbro came around I used that awesome one turn solar beam on him. That worked so well I think I’m going to try it with Bruno. I’m only worried I won’t be able to set up against that Hitmontop

ITS OVER. I BEAT LANCE.
That was not how I expected it to go. Nidoqueen struggled to hit Gyrados at first but managed to kill him. Once the dragonites were sent out I was ready to start the hail storm. Dragonair paralyzed the first Dragonite and took him out easily. Dragonair stayed in to set up hail but it cost her her life. She was outsped and hot hit by a devastating Dragon Rush.
I sent out Triton but got hit by some bull shit thunder and lost him.
It was Jack Jack the Typhlosion and Jasmine the Nidoqueen vs 4 crazy strong Pokémon. Nidoqueen got sent out.
I knew I had to paralyze it so I used an X Attack and continued to spam Body Slam. Many potions later, I killed it and avenged my two friends. I did the same to kill the last Dragonite who brought Jasmine close to death.
Afterwards she used all of her power to defeat Dragonite and Aerodactyle.

Ten Carat Hill, Malie Garden tower, the Lighthouse and the pirate ship, the golf course, the power plant, both huge hotels where only the first floor is accessible, ugh, these meaningless landmarks and so few accessible buildings are why I do not care much for Alola.
Also please give different route themes. It gets redundant hearing the same island specific theme the entire time exploring that island.
That and an option to turn Pokeride music off.

For example:
A male raticate and a female Primeape are in a pair. (You can also do gay and lesbian pairs but you have to choose one gender to do for all pokemon or stick with heterosexual pokemon. If you do bisexual then its a bit easier since you aren’t limited when choosing a pokemon)
A male raticate and a female Primeape are in a pair. They fight a trainer and only those two pokemon can participate. You can’t switch to anything else. If both of them die, then you switch to another pair.
Genderless pokemon are not allowed to be caught and if you don’t already have a team of 6 you have to catch a pokemon of the opposite sex

I am all over the place in this game lol First when I got to Ecruteak I did the burnt tower (as you kind of have to) then I went and beat all the reg trainers in the gym. After that I went to Mahogany just to explore, but then I went back and went to route 38/39. then I traveled back to the National Park so I could get the Sun Stone for my Bellossom. Then I went back up to Olivine and triggered the Silver coming out of the gym event. THEN I beat Morty. After that I decided to go back to Mahogany town. Now I’ve just caught the Shiny Gyarados. Next I think I’ll do the Team Rocket stuff in town before doing the Olivine/Cianwood arc. Maybe I’ll beat Pryce too lol I usually play these games the way they are typically meant to, but this time I’m trying to make things interesting. Hopefully this makes the story more interesting for me hahaha
I like that in gen 2 it was easier to go different ways and explore. You can do it a bit in the other games but there is definitely more of a push in a linear direction in them imo.

The leaker said alolan forms of Johto pokemon Xatu is psychic/dark, Bellossom is poison/fairy, Hoppip line is Grass/steel, and Remoraid line is water/steel, and that there are 2 new oricorio forms. I only believe around 25% of their leak.

Almost every fake leak (cuz they are all fake) Falls about Alolan forms of Johto mons. And you guys talk about them too… Why does nobody belevie my theory? (That Johto mons will get forms in gen 8, hoenn mons in gen 9 and so on) It makes sense!
Every Fire starter is based on an animal from the chinese zodiac, right? On chinese zodiac there are 12 animals, right? So What if there will be 12 Gens and after that maybe a reboot or something like that. If there will be 12 gens then Kanto to Kalos (the first 6 regions) are the first half of all regions. And Kalos is the first region of the first half. Alola is gen 7. That means Alola is the first region from the second half. And as we can see Alola is diffrent from the 6 previous regions. The layout is diffrent, there are No gyms. There are good chances that all future regions will differ from the first 6. So by making forms from the previous half in the new half you’ll remember the region that was 6 gens diffrent from the current one.
Because that’s really freaking stupid tbh. That limits their creativity for Alolan mons of later regions because ITS NOT THE RIGHT GEN YET SNTTAJJRAMJQRBN

I honestly want to see a 100% clean slate, no mention of other Pokemon games, no previously found Pokemon in the wild until post, just new everything.
It was to celebrate 20 years. And really Ninetales? Golem?, Meowth?, Raichu?, Marowak?!
Those are actually some pretty popular Pokemon or high class Pokemon… and if they were doing little attention paid Pokemon they would do Kingler line, Parasect line, Victreebel line, Ponyta line, Farfetch’d, Drowzer line, Golden line and Lapras as these are some of the most overlooked Pokemon from Gen 1 and none are Alolan
They could make all these forms in USUM
So and they could do my Stantler idea to be an Axis deer. Which would possibly point at an India region existing somewhere and they can’t do this in any other region or a Honey Bear Teddiursa
Gen 8 could be based on India and have the stantler
But the hint would be neat too
But why would they do that? Just make a bunch from all different regions. It’s way better for everyone

The idea of there being 12 generations is great if were solely basing it off of the Chinese zodiac. I do think every region from this point forward will be structure differently. The Johto alolan forms is something that I personally think is about 25% to 50% credible of actually happening. Then again from this point forward I think we are going to see other regional variants, potentially from regions that haven’t even been introduced yet. Though these are just my opinions, and are not fact. Gamefreak/ the pokemon company will do whatever they see fit for the Pokemon franchise.
The zodiac still isn’t very through tho. mostly cause Typhlosion only related to rats because Cyndiquil is the Mouse Pokemon (and that’s not very solid either cause its more like an Enchinda) and even Typhlosion is even by Bulbapedia a Honey Badger or Wolverine
And Delphox isn’t a dog it is however apart of the Family Canidae, which houses Dogs, Wolves, Foxes, ect., but Delphox isn’t a dog
So the Zodiac theory isn’t a strong argument and why add Gen2, GS and lots of promotional Johto stuff if they aren’t going to do more about it? Hence Johto forms

If they weren’t going for the zodiac theme there would already be a bear, or a turtle, or a squirrel or any animal that is not (or isn’t veeery close to) a chinese zodiac animal.

2) We had enough Kanto Alolan forms, I could hope for a Water Arcanine but what we got is enough

I am thinking of doing a Nuzlocke on my Sun version. This would be my first nuzlocke so I am wondering if anyone has any tips. I would be very happy if some of the more experienced members can give me some advice.
Stock up on Potions, there’s no such thing as ‘enough health’
Also this is your first time, so stick to the three(?) basic rules!
1) First Pokémon in each area is the only thing you can catch there (may want to use dupes clause to prevent like 60 Gumshoos tho)
2) Nickname all Pokémon (doesn’t have to to be themed tho)
3) Pokémon faints, it dies.

Make sure you know what pokemon can be encountered so you dont miss out on anything. You may want to skip routes to activate dupes clause
How does skipping routes activates dupes clause?
for example, if a route is covered in ratata and pidgeys, but you want an encounter that is a bit more rare, then skip the route until you get one that has the pidgeys and ratata without an interesting pokemon to increase your odds of catching the one you want on the other route

I’m not advanced, but in my playing of mine
1.) If you get to Yellow health go back to the Pokemon Center because it will save you a lot of Pokemon, but waste many minutes.
2.) Use the Exp.Share it will save you in level problems.
3.) Stock up potions cause in the middle of a battle switching can be a death sentence if your not careful (especially if the opponent knows pursuit).
Not an veteran at it, but these tips are helpful for beginners. GL 🙂

2. Dont hesitate to use EXP share when you feel your pokemon are starting to be underleveled
3. Dont not play with rng!
4. Crits WILL happpen when you dont want them. Just accept it
5. Try to finish battles ASAP. This might be a me thing, but I kinda like trying to use a lot of my pokemon in a important battle just cause.

I said dont play with it because If you have to do one more hit to kill the opponent, but you are confused and one more hit to yourself will kill you, or one miss you die, oe just any sort of hax then dont risk it. Always go for certainty.

Yes. Also if you find the time you should. It’s pretty amazing and deep for a shounen anime. It does rely a bit heavily on using narration but it just emphasizes the texhnical aspects in fights which I feel is usually ignored in such anime.

Additional thoughts:
I always saw Carnivine in the same vein as Croagunk, kinda like a jokemon. This evolution is to take that image and literally shred it to pieces. When it evolves it wilts, its colors darken, it’s eyes get a dead look and it’s vines become a lot more spiky. This Pokémon is meant to be something that you look at once and attempt to avoid at every cost, it’s meant to be purely terrifying.
Fun fact, this was the third fanmon I ever made and it’s gone under at least five revisions. It was originally called Trapnivine and it was one of about five mons to actually make it over from my original Pokedex.

I’m seriously considering bringing Musharna into the dex at this point….

Oh my goodness. I nearly lost the entire thing before even getting to the first Totem Pokemon.
What happened?
The School Teacher at the Trainer’s School happened. I had Leorio the Pikipek and Neferpitou the Litten so far. Since there has only been one route. My Leorio was up first but so was her Magnemite. Her Magnemite brought Leorio down to 3 HP while Leorio’s rock smash barely put a dent. I switched because Neferpitou can take hits. He got paralyzed. It took me 2 paralysis heals and 7 potions for to throw just one ember to knock the Magnemite out. Finally I switched Leorio back in and used another potion because Neferpitou was still paralyzed even after two paralasys heals. I knocked out her Meowth with two Rock Smashes and used up my last Paralysis Heal. Never have I been more scared for a Pokémon match before.
Why Leorio for Pikipek?
Pikipek will hopefully evolve to its final form Toucannon. A Pokémon that looks like it has a bad temper all the time. Leorio is known for his short temper. Also Pikipek was male. If it was Female I would have named her Cluck.

I at first thought that I was kind of overleveled compared to him. On my original run I had a Crabrawler, he probably made the early game a lot more easier than I expected. I guess I should never underestimate my opponents.

I had 4 Pokémon (lv. 13, 14, 14, and 15) and two of them had fighting moves which they both used. Unfortunately I still all but my highest leveled Pokémon. If I could do it over I would have went at it at a higher level. Assuming that your nuzlocke allows that.

Midday is only good as a Stealth Rocker while you have one shot with Counter
And Incineroar is only decent with a Scarf
Kommo-o isn’t exactly great competitive either lol

I mean slap a scarf on it and spam Clanging Scales until you die or if they resist it
Until a fairy type breathes in its general direction
Kinda what I meant when I said resist it, I mean imagine when move tutors come in USUM and opens a few doors for Kommo-o

The problem is Hydreigon does the whole Scarf Dragon 4x weak to Fairy thing better and actually has a movepool full of reliable coverage, whilst Kommo-o either has stuff under 80BP or not fully accurate
Omfg who cares, everyone knows Hydriegon got a way better deal, I don’t care I still want to make Kommo-o freaking work with what it has, I really like this one and will do anything in my power to make it work
