Just 24 hours after it was announced an exciting new Pokémon Direct will be broadcast shortly. There’s currently no indication on what will be shown in the broadcast, but Nintendo have said we can expect “big” Pokémon news.

Why do people think it’s not a sequel!? Why would they RE-RELEASE pokemon Sun and Moon a year after they came out? People start using common sense!
They said Alternate story so now I don’t know what to think. It should be sequels but they are wording it like it’s a third version split into two
No no no. They aren’t, in any way. A third version consists of no differences to the story or overworld (except for small adjustments), and as we can see, it’s a completely new story and world so far.
That’s not true at all. Platinum is VERY different from Diamond and Pearl. Also we have seen basically nothing of this game so thee is no way to be sure

Ok hear me out but what if by “Alternate Story”, they mean happening at the same time as Sun and Moon but as a different character? What if your character is actually Hau? Even though you don’t look like him, Hau is like a placeholder for USUM protagonists when in Sun and Moon the protagonists are your rival
