Uniqlo x Nintendo Collection Debuts

Brand new, official Pokémon merch is coming to Uniqlo!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_YklfP7u6U

Every year popular Japanese clothing brand, Uniqlo, holds their annual UTGP t-shirt design contest; partnering with major brands and companies such as Pixar and Star Wars in the past – this year’s collaborator was none other than Nintendo! Over 16,000 entries were submitted and judged by Shigeru Miyamoto himself, but ultimately only 25 designs featuring characters and themes from Nintendo properties such as Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Pikmin and, of course, Pokémon, were chosen. Check out the Pokémon designs that made the cut!

The Nintendo collection will be available for purchase on Uniqlo’s online store tonight, and in physical stores worldwide starting tomorrow. More details and the other designs can be found at Uniqlo’s official site.

Will you be picking up one of these wonderfully designed shirts, or do you have a better design in mind? Which one is your favorite? Definitely going to be picking up the Magikarp one!

    • Thats still Ash’s voice. She’s got some dedication. Crabrawler is such a cool mon. And no, I dont hear a ‘gangster’ sounding voice

    • I wish Crabrawler had a deeper voice. I was imagining it to have a voice similar to it’s in game cry with kind of deep bubbly tone. To really make it sound like it has a coconut for a voice box lol

  1. Random Pokemon memory:
I remember I broke my GBA so there was a line down the left side edge. That left edge is used to tell when trainers want rematches in Emerald, so I never knew what trainers and gym leaders to rematch, so I just cycled through each gym leader and the trainers on the route next to Mauville City every time I turned on the game. Good Times.
Say a Random Pokemon Memory you have. It doesnt have to be a big story like mine, just make some conversation

    • In SS, I remember having a Magneton and I tried to know where to evolve it, I read it evolves in “Kanto route 13” so I spent various minutes there trying to evolve it, then I realized it said “Kalos route 13” and not Kanto. And that you can’t evolve it in HGSS ;-;

    • I had a memory once that was awesome…
I was just playing my SS after I restarted and in the first bush after Cherrygrove was a Shiny Weedle that I caught and I went through all the way to the first gym after the tower and my ds almost died so I turned it off as I remembered that I had that weedle frantically I rechecked to find out… That I had luckily saved right after it was captured now its a lvl.32 Beedrill in Sun and Moon

  2. Ok I just had a thought. After watching part of a theory video I saw on YouTube I got to thinking about Necrozma. Part of the video focused on the idea that maybe Necrozma is actually the creator of Z crystals. From that a thought came into my mind. what if in the next game Necrozma gets a Z move that doesn’t require a z Crystal (sort of like M Rayray) in that IT is the Z crystal? Maybe it gets a new form that allows it to use said Z move without the need of a crystal? Wouldn’t be the craziest thing in the world would it? lol

  3. I would like to make a good introduction for myself. I love Pokemon and clash royale and really love this site. I spam a bit, but only when i get salty. I like making corny jokes and making people laugh. I also have a main disqus account called PoisonDat

  4. So I have a funny thing to share about my Sun experience. When I was about to fight Guzma, my sibling, who was playing Moon and just fought Guzma, mentioned the main Pokemon he had. I thought they meant Scolipede instead of Golisopod for some reason, so I had my Minior first.

Then I realized what they said just before Guzma sent out his first mon. What proceeded was half my team getting wrecked and almost losing.

  5. Bleg, studying can be sooo tiring sometimes. Especially when the subject is heavily advanced and you still don’t know how to implement it in real life, making it feel you still have a lot of research left.

    • Also when you have no interest in it. I’m just finishing up all the non-major related courses and I’m so glad because taking them is super annoying.

      • Luckily I’m super interested in this, which keeps my driving, but still, it’s complex matter and there’s no catch all good solution to the problems presented.

          • Yes, energy/power engineering. The subject is a graduate course on electrical motor drives and all related aspects. Basically how to control a motor the way you want. But it requires significant amounts of understanding of electrical machines, control theory, numerical methods and power electronics. And even then it is some sort of introductory course on how drive systems operate, it doesn’t make you able to start designing one yourself.

  6. THEY JUST HAD TO BUFF FELL STINGER
fucking lost a match because one fell Stinger suped up a Mega Beedrill and the jackass had the nerve to run pickpocket shiftry and stole my sash

  7. What about Hauntdrawn (Hand Drawn + Haunt) and Artialize (Art + Materialize) for the Ghost -> Ghost/Normal Artsy Ghost Fakemon?

  8. Here are the Artsy Ghost!

    Hauntdrawn (Haunt + Hand Drawn)
    Ghost
    The Lost Soul Pokemon
Artists are so diffrent than a typical human, that when they die, they turn into a special pokemon. They draw on real paper with a ghost pencil. They dream about turning back into humans.

    Evolves at level 27 into:

    Artialize
    Ghost/Normal
    The Materializing Pokemon
Artialize use their drawing skills to create new bodies for themselves, but they still aren’t fully transformed. Some legends say that Smeargle are fully materialized Artialize.

They both can learn Sketch one time.

  9. i’m debating to add this but two pokemon kinda are already like this
    Cerecelium
    the Fungal Pkm
    Grass/Psychic
    Effect Spore/Forewarn HA: Regenerator
a shriveled tiny grey alien like pokemon with mushroom features, a flat mushroom cap with a pinkish grey coloration with a several green bumps similar to a UFO, it has very large saucer like eyes that slightly stick outward, its body only consists of a rail thin body and long stringy arms with rounded fingertips it does not have any legs and they float in the air with psychic waves
“long ago strange dust fell from the sky and eventually grew into this Pokemon, their bodies glow whenever the sun goes down and bask in starlight”

    Saprosmic
    The Fungal Pkm
    Grass/Psychic
    Effect Spore/Forewarn HA: Regenerator
a thicker much bigger alien like mushroom Pokemon, its pink dark grey mushroom cap is bigger and wider with several swirly patterns with bright cyan colored lumps that glow, its head it tube like and it has three bright green eyes, its pale grey body is extremely long and lanky with its arms are still thin but their fingers are long roots, its legs are nothing but flat stumps, it never touches the ground only levitating
“Saprosmic emit powerful psychic rays from their powerful minds, because they produce so much energy it leaks out their bodies in the form of brightly glowing dust that causes headaches”

      • its supposed to be a extraterrestrial mushroom mycelium with cosmic dust spores
the only connection is mushrooms and glowing lights

        Reply
          • not really its based on bioluminescent mushrooms and the fairy typing from a phenomenon called fairy rings

mines totally on intelligent alien brains, like alien dust mutating fungus

      • Technical terms: it’s a derivation to determine the mutually induced parallel capacitance of three insulated high voltage cables for use in a power systems analysis.
Simple answer: it’s to model three big electricity cables that lie closely together under the ground, so your electricity company knows how the cable behaves if everyone turns on their lights.

    • *not back*

      I’ve seen worse.

It’s just multiplying a matrix by a vector and a scaling factor (which appears to be the inverse of the circumference of the cable). It just looks like there’s more than there is because instead of bidning the result of an equation to a variable they repeat the equations (like how 27 * pow(R, 6) turns up a heck of a lot).

The stuff at the top left is just a long chain of equivalences, presumably to help people simplify the equation.

      Reply
      • Yeah, you’re wright in that the matrix itself looks worse than it is (it’s a symmetrical problem so everything gets repeated often). What doesn’t help though is the use of the end result in the rest of the course, it’s literally the hardest course I’ve come across, because everything uses coupled equations and requires a lot of time to calculate parameters.

        • Get a programmable calculator and write a program to solve it for you.

I haven’t checked if this compiles because I’ve misplaced my GHC executable and the online ones don’t have the Data.Matrix module, but here’s a Haskell implementation I just threw together for creating the big matrix in the centre:
