That’s insane! Some of the most well known and prolific franchise releases could not top Sun and Moon’s three/five day sales… and they had nearly the whole market to themselves for 10 – 7 months.
I mean we all knew they were going to be YUGE, but the fact that it sold more than any other game in only three to five days when against games like Call of Duty is simply mind boggling!
20 MILLION HERE WE COME!
It might even sell better than GO!

Pokemon Go had a large surge after the daily rewards system was integrated, the hype surrounding Generation 2 implantation, and of course due to the various bug fixes that has allowed players easier access. 500 million downloads globally is no laughing matter and has enabled players of various ages and sexes to not only immerse themselves once more into Pokemon, but has enamored new fans. Pokemon Go not only brought Sun/Moon to the forefront as any news containing Pokemon Go also entailed at the release of Sun/Moon. From a business perspective, Pokemon Go was a jackpot that not only helped drive sales of previous titles upwards, but aided Sun/Moon towards historic figures. Even if just a few hundred thousand or million from the 500 million “players” actually go on to discover Pokemon in the handheld world, it’s a few more million bucks in the pockets of GameFreak.

Woah woah woah. So I’m fighting totem Kommo-o, and I used the flying Z move, and it used protect. Naturally, I thought it would do no damage, but it did a tiny bit, and I got the message “Totem Kommo-o couldn’t fully protect itself and got hurt!”. Is this something special or do z moves hit through protect for a limited amount of HP? Or could this be a Pokemon refresh benefit?
it hits for like 25% of damage

Ok I know there were some moves that could hit through, but still.
I think Z-moves do 1/4 of the damage they normally do through protect

So how does trading Zygarde work? Is it just impossible? It seems odd if you can with the whole hunt thing and the way forming and breaking down the Zygarde works.

So finally caught the Tapus. Ignoring Koko since it came as a suprise, here was my luck.

Fini: 8 attempts, countless ultra balls, and about three hours of my life on this stupid fish lady!
New challenge for true collectors: have a living dex with only pokémon caught in beast balls (not counting pokémon currently unavailable for capture with it).
There, that’ll catch up for how much easier it is to get shinys these days.
Heck, you could even have a shiny beast ball living dex if you really hated fun and having a life…
Is it worth evolving Crabrawler into Crabominable? The latter has twice as many weaknesses…
the crabrawler line wasnt meant to take hits anyways. I would say to evolve it because ice is a good offensive type and more attack power

In the dead of silence I wanted to share my personal hope for Pikmin 4 for the Switch
My idea on how Pikmin 4 would play out would be say…… 3 Years after the events of the 3rd Game where Captain Olimar finally taking his Family on that vacation with the money leftover from the Plasm Wraith, as he and his Wife, Son and Daughter are in a luxury Space Ship once again his bad luck strikes him in the form of a colliding Satellite which causes his ship to break apart and he and his family are ejected onto a nearby planetoid
Olimar once again reunites with a branch of Pikmin and must use their forces to find not only his family (whom also use Pikmin) but ship parts to get home
But after everyone is reunited they soon discover that they are not alone
A evil mechanized corporation started harvesting the planet’s natural resources and wildlife including their Spaceship which gets stolen too, so they must use Pikmin to work together and take back stolen resources and shut them down
Are clothes version exclusive or just colors because I swear if the Gothitelle shirt is only in sun I’m going to loose it
Not sure if they’re exclusive or not (hopefully we’ll get answers soon of what is and isn’t) but the place I see the Gothorita top is on Akala island in Heahea City 🙂

37 hours in finished my 6th trial yesterday lol.
Hella taking my time haha. 55 hours in and I’m just about to do my 6th one.
I’m assuming that time was spent in Poke Pelago, Festival Plaza and maybe Refresh right? Or a lot of grinding?
All of that and I’ve been switching my main team in and out for some lower-level Pokemon that I also wanted to use. Since my main team starts to get overleveled. Also have been completing my pokedex, so breeding rare pokemon to get stuff on the GTS. Hella having fun though 🙂
I think I’ll consider the 5th trial a resting point of sorts and start working on the Dex, collecting Zygarde cells, and shiny hunting using the SOS method.

I love how fishing for Corsola and hoping that it calls a Mareanie for help is a much easier method of encountering Mareanie than actually fishing for one

So I’m currently on route 10. I’m having a blast with this game! I normally wait until I beat the games, but I have this sudden urge to capture Pokemon that aren’t part of my main team/going to be. The new Pokemon/Alolan forms anyway lol Might backtrack a little to catch some mons I haven’t gotten yet. Should also help having more Pokemon in my box so I can start unlocking stuff from the Poke Pelago. Anyway this is where my team is currently at:

Well life got in the way and I only just now beat the Elite 4, but holy fudge guys. These Pokémon games really were the best ever. This was so much fun! Getting hyped with you guys, having people to get excessively nerdy about Pokémon to the max with, and talking about our playthroughs, and then the absolute amazingness of these games. Just wow. I’m so happy.
same here, these are definitely my favorite now, the plot was perfect , the creature variety is perfect, the new ones are super fun to use and well designed, the post game plot was, contrary to what I initially though, a total blast and pretty mind blowing considering the end of ORAS. the characters… I expected to hate most of them (think trevor/tierno/shauna) but what we got were a lovable and believable cast that really brought on the feels. Hau, despite being fun and outgoing, really has an inferiority complex because of his family, and Gladion and lilies struggle…. man, gladion. there is a character I expected to hate, but he’s probably my favorite. And wicke… well, I’m not going into detail there. anyways, these games were spectacular, I hope Gamefreak continues to deliver. (with a battle frontier next time, please! lol)
Lillie stolen my heart. Her character arc was perfect. And Kukui is so loveable. But the a lot the cast really did feel like real people. Which is a big time first for this franchise.
Dammit now I need a new adventure set in Kanto where your rival is Lillie as she is starting her adventure.
I’m hyped for whatever “Stars” is. I really hope its a main series game. i’d love to see what gamefreak does with a much more powerful tool at their disposal.
Ya even if it’s just an Emerald/Platinum style third version, I’m so down to experience this again in HD and with extra content.
I completely agree with you. What a spectacular game. Lillie is probably my favorite character along with Gladion as #2. And I thought Hau was going to be boring but he isn’t! He had an arc too. I just loved the story. I actually really want a sequel to these games and want Lillie to be there and Lusamine will all be cured and Gladion will work with Wicke and UGH THE GAMES ARE SO GOOD.
Plus the game was extremely challenging. I was happy about that…
eh… I’m not so sure i’d say extrememly challenging. there was never a spot in this game where I lost, the only times it was close was the post game battles with Annabel, Dexio, and Red, and the later 2 are because I had only my bewear with me.
I lost to the teacher and Halabut I reset to not lose to Hala
Honestly, I am a hardcore competitive battler, and I had some extreme trouble with Totem Lurantis, Totem Mimikkyu, and Kahuna Hapu. I mean, it was probably my team, but mimikkyu at least was quite challenging. I did not lose, but I had to have a lot of revives and Potions cuz it started sweeping my team.
But Annabel was definitely hard!!!
I just finished the third island and the revelations come fast and furious!
I think the “friends” and plot AND graphics in this game is X&Y should’ve been, like X&Y were the betas for Sun and Moon.
I hated when gladion says we aren’t enemies but arent friends, I was like b***h, we friends.
