Croagunk Revealed as Next Pokkén Fighter

Contrary to popular predictions based on datamined information, Croagunk has been announced as the new fighter joining Pokkén Tournament’s roster. The game update will be coming to Japanese arcades on November 10th, with no details yet about Wii U release. Several characters have yet to debut on the console version as of writing.

We’ll update the post with a high-resolution trailer and more screenshots as they come.

  1. Follow up question to Monferno’s. You can start with your favorite starter, but which region would you like to have been born/start your journey in?

          • I like to write myself into my worlds, but I’m usually a minor or support character never the main character so this will be a new experience!

          • …Now I kinda want to do one. I’m Cynthia’s younger brother and she brought me a Rowlet back from her journey to Alola :3

          • Lol Okay, but remember being related to a major character can be difficult to sell if other people read it. 🙂

          • If I was actually writing a pokemon fanfic, it’d be easier not to be related to an established character. Maybe a Rowlet from Alola could arrive carrying a letter addressed to me, and it tells me to keep it as my first pokemon. But there’s no signature so it’s a mystery as to who it’s from 😮 That might be too Harry Potter though, but I can’t help it.

          • stories are always more intriguing when they build off of your own creativity and not the creativity of others, go for a backstory that suits you and you cant go wrong

          • The Rowlet with the letter would just be an homage at best lol. I don’t really plan on writing one though. For one, I don’t do fanfic. I just don’t like the idea of playing around in other people’s worlds. Secondly, I already have a lot of writing that I need to be doing for my creative writing course lol.

          • I plan to have my character have a breeder family friend from Alola visit me in Unova and gift me a Litten egg. 🙂

          • Are you a writer on the side as well then? or do you mean worlds as in like pokemon and such. For my actual stories some of the main characters have traits from me, traits that I hide from people and traits that I would have if I lived in that world.

          • I am an aspiring writer. I was always told that it was a foolish dream, but I’m finally pursuing my dreams and trying to write more.

            I don’t do non-fiction. So if I do a real world story it is changed to suit my needs or creative direction. So by worlds I just mean the one I come up with, but in this case I wouldn’t change anything about the Pokémon world except for making everyone vegetarian or vegan for obvious reasons.

            Well, I feel like I write myself into my stories I can relate more to the world, characters, and plot I’ve created.

          • holy cow! Me too, I’m actually working on my first book in my first fantasy series atm, screw the nay sayers I am going to achieve my dream and you should shoot for that too. I already have at least 30 stories I want to turn into books, I have had them just piling up in my mind since I was like 8 and I need to get them out.

          • Fantasy is a genre I’m enthralled by! I want to create a LGBT series that doesn’t play on stereotypes. Oh, and lots of magic!

          • I’m writing a fantasy/scifi short story right now and it’s very difficult establishing the rules of this world I created lol. It’s a hybrid society where magic/technology coexist. I think I bit off more than I can chew

          • Magic and technology is so difficult. I suggest researching the “Tales of…” game series. They explore that theme pretty well.

          • not if you’re canadian, if you’re american though yeah, I have noticed they tend to only focus on the negatives where we focus on the positives. its odd, but just remember you’re awesome and its your story

          • Aw, thanks. Actually they’ve been pretty helpful with other people’s stories in past workshops, I just wish my story was more polished. It could be, I still have a few days before I need to submit it

          • Well a thesaurus is your best friend, and there are tons of world building checklists you can find online if you’re really worried about that, they can cover enough of the basic questions you might forget to ask yourself

          • world building is a task, but for a short story I think its fine to have some inconsistencies, I have a leather journal I keep for my world where I write down little random things that the cultures have and how they work, but none of it really is made up by me, it kind of comes to me randomly and I don’t know from where but it happens

          • My main character is gay but its not the focus of his story, but it does influence it quite a bit, actually now that I think about it, all the like main MAIN characters are either women (3) or gay men (3) the like one straight guy got killed off

          • Well, sexuality won’t be a main focus, but it will be something that is established with certain characters.

          • it needs to be a more prominent thing, there are like no main characters really in fantasy that are gay, side characters sure, but main characters no, and it kind of sucks

          • Exactly. I want to make their sexuality known, but at the same time I don’t want romance to be the most prominent part of the story. I want to create strong characters and an exciting world filled with perils and adventures!

            Plus, magic! Omg, I’ve been exploring “Mind” magic and insanity. I’m excited about it!

          • You’d be surprised how often in a day I tell myself this! Lol its great inspiration, ironically one of those is a fanfic of the other.

    • Incineroar, but before gen 7 it was a tie between Blaziken and Delphox. As for the region id like to have been born in Hoenn, in Fortree even though I started with Yellow this region has always been one where I felt like I belonged and I love nature. I even made my secret base around there!

    • In an ideal world, they’d remake D/P & release GSC on Virtusl Console. Gen II was one of my favourite games tbh, so much content for a start.
      If they remake FR/LG, it’ll be the 6th time they’ll have made Kanto accessible (RBY, GSC, FR/LG, HG/SS & VC RBY) + not to mention Alolan forms being another nod to Pokemons roots!

  9. Somethings wrong with my version of the Demo. The days until certain events haven’t lowered since I moved my Time Settings back an hour on sunday, the pikachu man still says it’s 4 days away, despite it supposed to have happened on Sunday. Is anyonw else having this issue?

    Also how do I find Dugtrio, Lilly and Dexio and Sina?

    On tuesday I got a great new Land Rover Range Rover from having earned $8752 this last four weeks.. Its the most-financialy rewarding I’ve had.. It sounds unbelievable but you wont forgive yourself if you don’t check it
