Tension is HIGH among Pokémon in the last 24 hours until the next batch of Pokémon Sun & Moon news and for good reason: we still don’t know what Rowlet, Litten and Popplio will evolve into! While not guaranteed tomorrow, many are hoping that we’ll finally get a glimpse at their evolutions. The news is set to be released at 10PM Japan Standard Time.
Of course… more new Pokémon, Alolan forms or Ultra Beasts would also be cool as well!

they probably not going to reveal everything on the demo, since pokemon omega ruby and alpha sapphire, they reveal too much on that, so they probably not going to make the same mistake on sun and moon demo

Excited! I think it is pretty realistic to expect the starter evolution given the push in promoting them and with it being just over a month(!!!) until the release of the games. Here’s what i’m hoping for:
Rowlet: Grass/Flying through entire line – i like the leaked robin hood style archer final evo and would love that to be the final.
Litten: Fire until final evo when it becomes Fire/Dark. I’m indifferent about the leaked final evo but would like to see the middle stage maintain a quadrupedal form and stick solely to fire typing.
Popplio: My favourite of the base starters but its leaked final evo is again one i am indifferent about. I would like to see Popplio become Water/Fairy typing upon evolution as it really fits especially if they go with the mermaid/siren theme. Plus it looks special so a special Water/Fairy to go alongside the physical Azumarill would be great.
What about everyone else – last thoughts before the (likely) 2nd stage reveal?
I wonder if starter evolutions are going to be revealed as a “Corocoro exclusive!” this month, which means we might not see them in tomorrow’s trailer but in a trailer two weeks from now. Either way, I think it’s inevitable that we’ll see (at least) the middle forms revealed this month!

Anyway, I honestly love Rowlet’s leaked final evo but I severely hope that the typingis not grass/dark. That would make it extremely… hard to use. Kinda like Tyrantrum and how it looks amazing, but its typing is lackluster. Litten better not be fire/fighting, we have way too many of those. And Popplio being a Siren is a great thing for Greek mythology enthusiasts like me
I really do hope Popplio’s final evo is somewhat similar to Feraligatr but flipped, as in OK stats all round, but great Sp. ATK and Sp. DEF. That would make it a threat.
Here’s my two cents:
I think the 2nd evolutions for the starters, the Ultra Beasts, and Ash Greninja are the same.
I believe the 2nd evolution starter will be an “ultra beast” version for the starter you picked. And the 2 starters you didn’t choose will have normal evolutions.
And I believe that the Aether foundation has discovered how to fuse with your Pokemon and have done so and created Ultra Beasts. So, on that note, you won’t be able to catch UBs but you will be able to catch the Pokemon they’re fused with.
Are you bringing up the idea of pokemon fusion again? It seems pretty late for such a huge concept to be revealed. Albeit, Game Freak tends to throw logic out the window.

Also take with a grain of salt, but someone on the same article mentions he deciphered one of the riddles of the leaks and it states that Mega Evos may not need to hold the mega stone in Sun and Moon anymore. But I find it odd, and will take it with salt till further notice.
That much is pretty false, since the whole point of mega evolution is the stone holding the bond between Pokemon and its trainer. Plus, with the removal of stones, every mega would go to AG, since Rayquaza can hold another item while mega evolving and that went well, didn’t it.
Hence I am doubting it. But I do hope we get some new Megas, like maybe a Mega Xerneus and Yvetal (which COULD have happened if we got Z XD)

They will not let us play a demo. They’ve only done that with remakes. This is a whole new gen.

We’ve already known their final form for ages now, it’s the most useless thing they could reveal tomorrow (that ship has sailed and sunk guys, accept it). I’m way more curious about the third legendary, but i’ll bet that’s gonna be held till last second.
I prefer some mid-stages to the first and last in many Pokémon, including starters, so not that useless. Plus we need to know at some point and it may reveal some info on typing.
We may have known the finals for a while now, but considering they weren’t revealed in any official capacity I’d say it isn’t useless. It’s not GF/TPCI are thinking “Oh well they already know about the starters. We might as well ignore them now entirely since it’s a waste.” They’ve gotta show them off eventually no matter what.

Am I the only one who feels like they really dropped the ball with releasing the gen 6 event legendaries? We’re a month from Gen 7 and we’re just about to get the 721st pokemon…I don’t even care about it at this point. It leaked 3 years ago and I’m more interested in the new pokemon coming out.
And in terms of design, I also think they dropped that ball too. All 3 are just ugly in my opinion and I only really like mega diancie.
I like them. I agree they released Volcanion too late. It was because of the movie, should have had a worldwide release much sooner after. The release just sort of came from nowhere now.

I believe that If you watch the Hoopa movie you’ll love him. But for me, I love all cheeky mischievous Pokemon like Gengar, Zoroark, Lycanroc (moon), the leaked Litten final and Hoopa’s both forms.
I have watched that movie and I liked it for the most part. I did find Hoopa really friggen annoying though with its stupid voice. Unbound Hoopa is cooler for sure and felt menacing although I’m not really fond of its design

About everything.
Starter evolutions, the riddler, the ultra beasts, individual pokemon, characters, theories.
The only thing that hasn’t really divided anyone are the islands themselves – pretty much everyone thinks they’re pretty.
Well with so much changing this gen I guess it isn’t surprising.
We’d probably do it even if they weren’t, but the changes they have made are quite divisive.
For example:
– I like the island based format. (I think everyone likes the island based format, but don’t quote me on that)
– I’ll dearly miss the gyms but I’m willing to give the trials a go before passing judgement. (some people outright hate the gyms being gone, some are glad they’re gone)
– I used to like the ultra beasts until UB02A ruined them. (some still like all of them, some hated them from day 1)
– I don’t like the team skull grunts/peons or their stupid skull dance thing, but I like the 3 ‘admins’. (again, reactions vary)
– I like the idea of region forms, but I don’t like how they’ve been handled in most cases. I like Meowth and (oddly enough) Exeggcutor, I half like Marrowak and Ninetails but disagree with their typings (ghost and fairy), Raticate is uglier than it was before but I accept its typing, Raichu is just a mess – its design is weird and the psychic typing hasn’t been explained, though I expect they’ll try to explain it using the plot from a single anime episode that was first aired over a decade ago. (All in all they’ve been very divisive)
Apart from those, the Aether foundation and the Z moves, it’s pretty much the usual.

I was reading some unconfirmed leaks at bulbagarden and I came across this:
At the end of the game you can get Sol Stones and Mun Stones, which allow you to evolve a Pokémon to the opposite version. There’s only 6 of them spread around the Alola Region, after you beat the main story.
I am not sure that would be smart from GF because it kills there chances of people buying the 2 games. It’s interesting to share anyways.

For the people who believe in Split Starter Evolutions. I went through the Bulbapedia page and saw the Riddler created no split image and has even stated that there is no Split Evolution for the Starters. I think the Z-Forms he listed might actual change their type to Grass/Ground, Fire/Poison, and Water/Fighting. The Riddler is the most accurate leaker so far. I guess we’ll see if the Gummy Leaker from Bulbapedia is correct tomorrow. We’ll get a lead when they reveal the starter evolutions hopefully by tomorrow.

Abot changing types, I don’t think Popglamour can become a fighting type. Maybe something like Ash-Greninja will happen…who knows..

It was clearly stated that the starters shared a secret with Rockruff. Well the ONLY secret Rockruff has is that it has version/Day/Night evolutions. So unless it has some other secret, which isn’t likely, then that obviously means that the starters most likely have the same secret.

No one acutally said that the starters and Rockruff share the same secret. For what we know the starters may have a simple personal Z-move. Check back if you want

And I have checked back plenty of times, perhaps you should take your own advice. 🙂 It wouldn’t be much of a secret if it was just personalized Z moves, as everyone already knows about them, and for me that’s not something to be excited about. Now split evolutions, that is something to be excited about. I remember the exact wording, that they all shared a secret with each other. But I guess we’ll all find out soon enough, and until then I am going to be sticking with believing the split evolution starters.
I had corocoro translated from a Japanese guy studying with me here. He said that there was no sign of a “sharing secret”. Corocoro hinted at the starters alone, saying something like “may the starters have a secret, too”? This does not mean that they share anything with Rockruff, also beacause if this was the case then why didn’t Corocoro even mention the starters in the last issue?
Like I said, believe whatever the hell you want, but until its proven other wise, I am firmly sticking with hat my strong gut instinct is telling me, because it’s never been wrong. It was right when I believed that the three starter final evolution leaks were real, so I will believe it now as well. Until it is proven otherwise.
I don’t want you to change idea, I’m simply saying that corocoro has never said that Rockruff and the starters share the same secret, just because, when the starters evolutions will be revealed, if there are not split evolutions, people will start going mad just because corocoro said that, when it actually didn’t. Split evolutions may come, but I suggest you to kepp your hpes down anyway.
I learned long ago not to get my hopes up for anything. Because ever time I did, my hopes were dashed, so yeah I never let my hopes get up to high, whether it be something I’m hoping for in a video game, or something in real every day life. But When I have a strong gut feeling, I usually tend to listen to it, I found bad things happen when I ignore them.

I always thought Shelmet was more of an oyster than a snail, but aparently it’s supposed to be a snail, so I suppose so.

I honestly don’t think there will be any NEW ones in the games. I think the megas will be pushed to post game content to give room for Z moves and co. to shine. And then in gen 8 or even in the DP remakes (assuming they’re in gen 7) we get new megas and a few new special z moves together.

Everyone talks about remakes of Diamond and Pearl being next on the list, what’s interesting about that is why they forget Platinum. No one asked for a Yellow, Crystal or Emerald either. I believe that after some time we might get those games as remakes maybe gen 10 or more. I want an Emerald remake in 2025, exactly 20 years away from the original.

I think Comedy can be a good thing. Yes XYZ was great due to it’s rather serious plot, but a show that makes people laugh can also be pretty good. It can still have more serious sub plots and instances even though it’s focused on a more comedic aspect. I say we should wait and see before casting judgement on it. It could be just as good as XYZ. Only instead of serious plot it has a more happy and funny one. lol
