In a change to our planned article for today, we thought we’d take the time to find out what you guys think will be revealed in the Pokémon Direct tomorrow.
Keep in mind that this will be the third Pokémon Direct, after the first two were shown back in 2013 before the release of Pokémon X & Y. The special broadcast will air on the 20th Anniversary of Pokémon in Japan and is promised to contain “big” Pokémon news!

Seeing as we’ve changed our plans once already, another question to you all: what would you guys like to see in a Generation One Showdown? (Bear in mind we’ve already completed a Starter Showdown!)
I think no question the reveal will be the infamous “Z” we’ve been anticipating, whatever the title(s) of it is. I really hope this theory of the whole gen 6.5 thing actually happens. Would be a great way they could mix it up

Game Freak already said there will not be a Pokemon Z game. I’m pretty sure Magearna is Gen 7.
In the context of Masudas comments, he was talking about the name and timing of the game, saying if it came after X and Y it would be too obvious. He was not discussing whether the concept of a “Z” was actually going to happen, which at this point, it’s pretty obvious that it will. He did not say there was not gonna be a Pokemon Z game
Actually, new Pokemon yet to be played refers to third game. But I don’t know, maybe there can be Gen 7, and those Pokemon could be a link between 6 and 7 like there was a link between 1 and 2.

I voted for Pokémon GO. Directs haven’t been giving us exciting news lately and I’m not sure about Generation 7 or Pokémon Z.

Directs in general. Not just Pokémon directs.
Often times I distrust Gamefreak because often times they completely troll us and I think they honestly enjoy stringing us along sometimes. However, I don’t think this is one of those cases. This is the 20th anniversary. This is a big year. If this direct was just about Pokemon Go, they wouldn’t have announced it months ago, they would’ve waited until tomorrow. This has to be news of the main series.
On the off chance it’s not, I’m never going to trust GF again.
I think the game that’s gonna be announced tomorrow is gonna be something entirely different. I honestly expect it to be something we haven’t thought of or at the very least haven’t completely figured out. I’m sure it won’t be a previously talked about game like GO or Pokken. That’s for sure. The timing doesn’t feel right for a quick update video on that.
