  1. Oh Emboar, my favorite of all starters a big bulky Fire/Fighting Type
    Now with Reckless
Jolly Max Speed and Attack with Choice Scarf
    Flare Blitz
    Head Smash
    Wild Charge
and sadly no good Fighting move, might use Hammer Arm but its kinda counter-intuitive

  2. I got bored and did mine. I did have trouble choosing a favourite Grass type (as I don’t really tend to use grass types) and same goes for normal. Dragon was close with either Noivern and Garchomp
This is basically based on if Pokemon was real, I’d only use these on my team
Edit: way to screw up Disqus

  3. Is there anyone here who specializes in VGC? I was looking for good EV spreads for certain pokemon. Possibly movesets as well. These are the pokemon that I already have and need VGC spreads for.

Rotom- Calm Nature- 5 IV missing Attack (can rebreed for different nature)

Eevee- Modest Nature- 5 IV missing Attack (evolving into Pixilate Sylveon due to HA)

Cresselia- Bold Nature- 4 IV missing Attack and Sp Attack (can retrain)

I also want to use either a Mega Gallade or Mega Kangaskhan. I have the pokemon I need for breeding, I just need sets.

I really need the help, and I appreciate all that will.
    Thanks.

    • See Rio. Kangaskahn is just the typical Mega Kanga set. Nothing special. Your team isn’t special either. You’re using the same thing 85% of players use.

    • For defensive Pokémon, EV spreads tend to be weird as you will want to survive specific enemies. This usually needs a bit of experimentation or you can just steal an EV spread from Nugget Bridge (since they usually explain what they are trying to survive with the EV spread they have…)

      sample:
      http://nuggetbridge.com/reports/moonlight-sonata-singapore-asia-cup-qualifier-first-place-report/
Cresselia has 220 HP and 172 Def to “survive… Life Orb Bisharp Knock Off 100% of the time”

      suggested moves:
Rotom: Will-O, Volt Switch, Hydro Pump, Pain Spilt/Protect
Sylveon: Hyper Voice, HP Ground/Fire, Protect, Calm Mind
Cresselia is generally used in trick room support, certain other supports have more utility but obviously less bulk (e.g. Meowstic w/ Fake Out, Swagger, Safeguard, Charm/Protect | Sableye, Raichu, Amoonguss, Togekiss etc.)

I personally would not use Mega Gallade (except as anti-Kanga)
Close Combat*, Psycho Cut (Amoonguss sucks), Protect, Shadow Sneak/Leaf Blade
      * – You can try Drain Punch, but you really need to one-shot Kanga.

      Mega Kanga…
      set 1 – Fake Out/Sucker Punch, Power-Up Punch, Return, Crunch/Drain Punch
set 2 – Fake Out/Sucker Punch, Facade, Drain Punch, Protect
      set 3 – Fake Out/Sucker Punch, Double-Edge, Drain Punch/Hammer Arm, Crunch/Protect

      • I think you have room for an Intimidate user as another Pokémon. Popular choices for your current amount of teams include Arcanine, normal Salamence, Krookodile and Scrafty. You can try a more “support” Intimidater like Staraptor or Masquerain as well.

Alternatively you can add a defensive Steel-type attacker. Based on what you have you can’t do bad with Skarmory or Bisharp or Heatrean.

Or you can probably have a powerful Ice-type user to handle the common Garchomp, Landorus or Thundurus. This is usually handled by Focus Sash Greninja, Scarf Timid Tyranitar, Ice Beam Cresselia (gasp) or Icy Wind users for support and speed control like Suicune, Milotic or Lapras.

  6. I miss Pokemon so much. I feel like I’m missing a part of myself by exploring other facets of gaming. I need to go back and play the versions I restarted a while back. Shiny hunting in FireRed, that sounds good! 😀

  7. Congratulations Red Coats! You have triumphed over the Land Sharks and won the 13 colonies! (I didn’t really watch the game, just Katy Perry.)

By the way, Katy Perry’s first outfit looked like an Emboar. She totally killed it. It was fantastic.
