Mewtwo Strikes Back in Super Smash Bros.

One of the iconic fighters Pokémon fighters of Super Smash Bros. Melee will be returning for the Wii U/3DS version of SSB next year. Players who register both versions will get Mewtwo as a free DLC character starting spring of 2015.

Happy that we can “Settle it in Smash!” with Mewtwo? I am!

  1. Well, I have a while to connect my Nintendo Network Id with my eshop account, but I’m excited to get a new smash character! Quick question… The reson I have to link my accounts is because I downloaded the 3ds version…yet have no idea how to get the pin number for registering it. Anyone know?

  2. So, apparently the Tower of Smash leak may have some truth to it. Lots of stuff from it confirmed and the only thing against the leak is Ridley not being playable DLC as well as Event Matches coming back. They could of made that part up to help possibly give the leak some doubt to get Nintendo off their backs…

  3. Oh, and Maple’s article was great, interesting seeing his team (again but still) and how much OU he used on it.
But seriously, I didn’t watch the videos, but I read the descriptions of battle, and it all seemed great.

  4. Lately I’ve been putting theme songs into google translate, translating them into different languages, then back to english, and the results have been fantastic:

“Now this is a story about how

    My life has spilled
I want to take a minute
    Just sit there
I’ll tell you how he became the prince of a town called Bel- Air

Born and raised in West Philadelphia ,
The land is where I spent most of my days
Cold MAXIN ” relaxin ‘ all cool
And all shootin some b ball outside of the school
When two players who are not good
Started to hurt my home district
I had a little battle , I was terrified , and my mother
She said : ” Go with your aunt and uncle in Bel Air. ”

    Oh boy
Also, if you claim to think mewtwo in smash was going to happen, I actually made a list of people who called.
So don’t even I know if you’re bein a lying ho

  6. I find it very interesting how Battle Frontier has it’s music programmed yet no location data in the game or names of the Frontier Brains. Same with Abandoned Ship and I think the Trick House. But both of those two (Trick House and Abandoned Ship) are obviously in the game. Apparently, some Scientist in the demo mentioned the Scanner and Sea Mauville in the same sentence, making some people think the Abandoned Ship was renamed “Sea Mauville”. Yeah. No. It’s nowhere near it either. I also heard about a Food Court in Mauville from the demo. Apparently, it could be very similar to the stadiums from Nimbasa City! They mentioned battling. Those matches with the Street Thugs could be at the Food Court. Seems to me like Mauville is taking on the role of Lumiose and Castelia Cities from the newer games in a way.

  7. I wonder what this Sea Mauville area is about? It says it’s a Hoenn protected area according to this Veteran NPC. It can’t be the Abandoned Ship. The Scientist who said he was looking for the Scanner in Sea Mauville must of been mistaken. Or it could of been a translation error. Lol. (Refresh for image by the way).

  8. So excited to have these games in hand come November! Demo isn’t even the meat of the details. Sea Mauville isn’t New Mauville, that name is in the data as well. Like oh my god! The hype is coming back again! I saw Tate and Liza in the demo too. They look even more awesome in person! Can’t wait to see the rest of the Gym Leaders and Elite Four in person! 😀

  9. The hype left for me yesterday, as some of you may remember. I had a fit of rage on here because PLDH.net didn’t believe Gym Leader rematches were coming back. They don’t have all the fucking answers. I trust them. They are a good site. But I let their opinion turn into a fact and it took advantage of me. It’s not the final game!

    • Why would you have a fit over not being able to rematch gym leaders? Most of us will be spending our time MMing or competitively battling. Gym rematches are the least of my concerns.

      • I’m not really competitive. But you’re honestly right. I’ll probably either be spending my time doing PokeNav Plus Rematches, the Battle Frontier/Resort, Elite Four and Wally Rematches, Super Training, Aime, and Secret Bases. This old sailor has a soft manly spot when it comes to Aime. Lol.
