UPD: Dragon Type has been added to the tournament!
After numerous delays, over one hundred intense battles we finally have our very first PokéJungle Champion. We’re still awaiting results for the third place winner, expect details on that soon!
Without further ado, we;re very proud to announce that Maple of the Ecruteak Group is our 2014 PokéJungle Champion. From the entire PokéJungle Team and all of our readers, we congratulate you on your victory and can’t wait to see you participate in future tournaments! Second place in the tournament was taken by Lasgorndalf of Fallarbor Group, with the winner for third place still to be determined.
A full winners ceremony post including battle videos will be made available as soon as possible, with full team and tournament analysis to be completed by NL in the coming days. We’ll also have a tournament review and feedback article available soon for you guys to tell us what you liked and disliked about the tournament, as well as providing vital feedback to us.
Once again we congratulate not Maple on their victory in our first and largest PokéJungle Tournament, but to everyone who has been part of this massive event. Things haven’t run as smoothly as we wanted, but it’s been an amazing experience for everyone involved and we can’t wait to see all of our readers take part in future community events.

October ’14 Tournament
Some of you remember that we previously teased that we would be bringing additional smaller tournaments to the site, today we’re pleased to partially announce the next tournament! Expect full details in the coming days, with sign-ups opening very soon.
This tournament comes from the mind of DefensiveBastiodon (with a little direction from me that I wanted themed tournaments ;)). This tournament (as of yet unnamed) will feature seven types only: Ghost, Dark, Psychic, Bug, Fairy, Dragon and Poison. All battles will be in the VGC Double 4v4 style.
As we said, we’ll bring more details very soon so potential participants can sign up and have a month to construct their teams. Stay tuned!

It will only take 4 or 5 hours to complete, but it’s incredible. All of the music is perfectly remixed, the gameplay is the same as the classic 8-bit game, and there is some cool content to unlock. It’s worth 15 dollars, for sure.

I really wish they would introduce difficulty levels to select from at the beginning of the games before you even start the stories. Pokemon games are too easy to beat. The most difficult games are Red, Yellow, Blue, and Gen 3 was pretty difficult too.
Gen 4 was hard. but only because the levels were so unreasonable it made grinding a nightmare
I never had to grind in Gen4 lol xD Sinnoh just love’s me! Well it is mah Bae :X
The most difficult parts of Gen 4 were simply trying to find location of the next gym or trying to beat Cynthia.
Lol cyntha after gen 6 is wayyy easier since the introduction of fairies.

It always annoyed me that we have to sit through “how to catch a Pokemon” every game. That should be toggled with a difficulty setting.
They taught me like 8 times how to catch a pokemon ;~; I hate that process so much

So I’m a bit confused on the next tourney. So October, VGC rules and you can only use pokes of those types, correct? Why those types, if there’s a reason? Well it looks like M-Gengar is going to run rampant on par with Kang xD Fairy types are going to be a big threat though. Well im excited for this, especially since its a doubles tourney!

OMG! with all this talk about giving levels for diffecltity and a mode for noobs and vets, it reminds me of a kid i met a school! He was playing X and we started talking aobut pokemon, i asked if he played competitivly and he asked what it was, so i tried explainging VGC to him and his responses for the best thing ever. HE asked where they were in-game and kept going on with it! He just could not understadn you would battle against real people in person. XDDD I’m sorry i just thought that was funny. oh and btw he claimed to have played pokemon since he was 6 so thats what made it even funner.
