Why must something always happen to the third mascot legendaries?
1. Rayquaza: The only one to stop Groudon and Kyogre and has a higher BST than those two.
2. Giratina: Get’s it’s own theme, a signature move that’s not Dragon Typed, and an alternate forme.
3. Kyurem: Get’s alternate formes (with higher BSTs) when fused with Reshiram/Zekrom, and gets so many signature moves off the wazzoo.
4. Zygarde (not confirmed, but most likely): Something happens to it and PROBABLY gets the Thousand Moves (it was never confirmed that those moves were its).

Good question. Don’t know how to answer that though lol. Started as a trend recently with gen 4 and then they just ran with it.
1. Rayquaza didn’t get a form change in the original Emerald. One would think it would get a Primal this time around because it cannot stop Primal Kyogre/Groudon in its current state. So it would have to Primal-Devolve to stop them. Ouf course though, we don’t know if the story of ORAS will include the holy rayquaza scene or just do something completely new.
2. If Gen 4 was JUST introduced, Giratina’s “origin” forme would probably be it’s Primal devolution.
3. Kyurem was where Gamefreak was tired of being unpredictable. So instead of giving us Grey Version with 1 new kyurem, they gave us two versions.
4. Zygarde. Trollfreak stated a bit ago that they never want to be predictable again so anyone who’s calling X2, Y2 will undoubtedly get PLAYED! That won’t happen again. I really dunno where they plan to go after ORAS but it’s fun speculating

It would be cool if pokemon Z/other kalos game took place in the past (during the equivalent of the French wars of Revolution), primarily b/c Paris (or Lumiose) wouldn’t have been restored yet (during the 1830’s i think Paris was heavily revamped so that people couldn’t barricade the streets and everything looked all pretty). In other words, Lumiose would look WAY different from what it does now, and the addition of the catacombs would help advance that feeling of “oldness” (for lack of a better word)

I read about a place called Mulhouse in France which is practically where Couriway town is on the map of Kalos. Mulhouse is a “train town” w/train museums, extensive railways, etc. It’s basically made to be a town for trains. From what i also read, it was used when the Nazi’s occupied France to transport Jews in or out to concentration camps (i can’t remember which).
Anyways, B2/W2 could have been easily predictable b/c the storyline w/N never really finished (iirc, it just said he disappeared, leaving what happened to him up to debate). From what i remember, there’s no real loose ends in X/Y’s storyline, so a prequel is definitely possible.
The only discrepancy i see is that trains didn’t really exist when the French Wars of Religion occurred 😛
