We know it’s a bit of a quiet period regarding to interesting news (we don’t believe region-specific downloads everybody already knows about are interesting news) but at least Corocoro will come soon! I’ll also be going to Gamescom again this year and cook up a report after that, but sadly, there’s no Pokémon demo this time around.

I would say the best CoroCoro Leak was the Mega Evolutions! We had a giant discussion and everyone either hated it or loved it! That was my favorite leak we ever got!

Been a fan since 1997, but I’m very hard to impress pokemon wise. And this is perhaps the ONLY corocoro that literally made talk about it for more than a few weeks.
Still hate it, I’m afraid! Pokemon fan 4 life, but megas bore the crap outta me. If it’s not a permanent evolution I ain’t interested. Plus GF seem to be using it as an excuse to be lazy and not create any more evos or prevos. So hate hate hate, really.
I like to think it gives people the option to change up a Pokemon on their team without fully committing. Granted we really only have that potential with Mega Mewtwo and Mega Charizard at the moment but if they continue to build up the Mega population, it’ll be a whole new dimension to consider during battles. It already is, but more so.

Anyway, best Coro Coro? The introduction to Mega Evolutions last year. I cried like a baby (in my head). The similarities to Digimon warmed my heart. And when I saw the jaw of A Certain Favorite Pokemon of mine (albeit he/she was cropped so an extra image was made for him/her, how special), I said to myself, “They did it. They finally did it.” :’)

Possibly the one scan of the first news of XY since Sylveon with Helioptile, Gogoat, Pancham, and Fletchling. Cause I was super excited to see the other Pokemon of Kalos and it was such a big news scoop compared to the months prior.
I remember when I kept calling Gogoat; Gogurt. XD
The first time I met the Kalos love of my life…Helioptile <3 I love it to death, I want a plushie of it so bad 😀
It was also around the time we thought Helioptile was going to be Fire/Electric. So many crazy ideas! XD
xD I wanted it to be Electric/Dragon or just be a giant lizard. I wasn’t expecting anything like Heliolisk. I accepted it, but I still love its base form better 😀

Upon reflecting about last year’s Mega Evolution Coro Coro, I remembered that Dedenne, Skiddo, and Bunnelby were leaked as well. Such a shame that practically no one cared at the time.

I think it was because we saw Skiddo in the trailer before, and Dedenne is the Kalos’ Pikachu, and Bunnelby’s Kalos’ rodent, so they were no surprises.
Honestly, despite the fact that Mega Evolution was fcking epic, I actually hated the way they looked.
But once I saw Dedenne, I knew it would be my favorite.

I think OR/AS is going to be the only remake. I believe the next game is going to be Z (or like ZX/ZY or something along those lines.). I want Nintendo to make a HD handheld so I hope the 7th Generation games look amazing!
