Much, much later than we wished to, we’re bringing our readers the penultimate update on the 2014 PokéJungle Tournament before the first battles commence. We’ve decided to make some changes to the format of the tournament to help with how it’ll run when we begin later this month.
PJT ’14 Format Changes
At the end of May we announced that our tournament would run over five rounds, with players earning points in each round and the top 8 players after all rounds proceeding to three elimination rounds, this has now changed.
The changes we’ve made have been done so to remove the pressure of having to be available for the entire period of the tournament. Players will now be placed into groups, in these groups every player will battle one another once. When all battles have been completed (and tie-breakers completed if necessary) the top player from each group will move forward into the elimination rounds.
Players will need to confirm participation below so we can finalise groups and group balancing before the start date of the tournament. Group stage battles will take place over the same dates as the Rounds were previously planned to take place, with a maximum of three groups battling at any time. All match-ups posted before now are to be ignored.
As it stands any drop outs will no longer be filled by stand-ins, until we announce otherwise.
We have also decided to push the tournament start date back. This is to allow participants time to confirm their entry (see below) and for us to finalise players in each group.

Canalave, Sunyshore & Cinnabar Group Battles – July 28 — August 1
Ecruteak, Fallarbor & Lumiose Group Battles – August 2 — August 6
Goldenrod, Undella. & Rustboro Group Battles – August 7 — August 11
Final Elimination Rounds – August 13 onwards.

As such we’ve decided that participants must now confirm their entry using the form below by July 17. Those who do not do so will be removed from the tournament and unable to participate. If you have changed your username since this list was created please inform us and we will change it accordingly.

@Dae, How do you think GameFreak intends to implement these new Megas in X/Y. People say patch, but we’re also getting new moves for Groudon and Kyogre, and who knows what else. I mean, this patch would have to be massive. On top of that, they can shut down wi-fi until you get the patch, but that does nothing to stop Wireless communications. I just can’t figure out how exactly they intend to have battle communications between X/Y and ORAS

No really, a patch is most likely. Not having the patch would block you out of Wifi, and trying to connect with ORAS can tell you ‘this game is not compatible with your game, try updating your game’. I’m certain this is possible with the 3DS, and maybe even 3DS Download Playing the patch from an ORAS game.
Also, I don’t think the patch would be bigger than 200MB, the Pokémon X is a shamble 1.7GB anyway, which includes 700+ models and also the entire game map.

sceptile jumps really high, and can use his tail and arms for leaf blade, bullet seed for repetitive close damage, solar beam for a charge attack, frenzy plant for final smash, yeah es bootyful
greninja jumps really high… greninja used his water for his close damage… aqua jet for charge attack… night slash final smash too similar
sceptile is slightly slower and uses more bulkier attacks, so yeah, not that similar.

sceptile doesnt fly :3 and charizard only uses one flame thrower attack, which is a lot like bowser.
And greninja is a ton like sheik.
and all the fire emblem characters are a lot alike, too.

What we can say for sure is that XY will be able to trade with ORAS. As stated in the trailer for Mega Diancie I remember it said “Mega stone only found in Pokemon ORAS”
so that would mean we have to get our fateful encounter Diancie’s, send them over to ORAS by trade, and probably unlock a fun little event sequence where someone in the game gives us Diancite.

Highly likely as GameFreak seems to be going down the, “update” path without having to re-release the entire game. With the technology we have today and the capabilities of the 3DS, I actually think Pokemon Z or the third installment to the X and Y Series will just be a download rather than something tangible.

If we look back on the nintendo ds, DP & B&W (two diff gens) shared a handheld. So it’s actually very plausible for them to release Gen 6.5 or Gen 7 right after ORAS or the zygarde game

Specially since Hoenn is confirmed to have an updated dex, it’d be right to include Skrelp underwater.
