  2. Staying up ’til midnight because my AP scores will be released then. Even though I probably failed. But w/e, lol

  5. Least favorite rivals:
5: Barry: I feel like he was just a filler rival, really nothing special. No backstory what-so-ever, and GF’s attempt at another gary. The only thing I only liked about him is that it is revealed that palmer is his dad.
4: Silver: Why did he even steal the pokemon? Nothing (In game) is really special about him, and I feel like hugh does his job better than he does. I feel like his appearance is very un-needed.
3,2, 1: Shauna, tierno, and trevor: Words cant describe the hate.

    • Mine are:
      1. The X&Y rival – I actually feel sorry for them when I fight them since I destroy their team too easily, and they feel like fate hates them. At least with Cheren, while he’s not an asshole like Blue/Gary, I feel great for beating him down for being over competitive!
      2. Wally – He’s sick, but I feel sorry for him rather than wanting to win over him. See #1. But at least he puts up a great fight in Victory Road.
      3. The RSE rival – Not challenging at all, they’re more helpful though. Some of their screen time as rival were stolen by Wally too.
      4. The Sinnoh rival a.k.a. the Prof’s assistant – Ok, this one doesn’t even show up much if my memory serves me right.

I actually like Trevor and Tierno, they just need more character development and be more serious in Pokemon battles.

    • Say what? Silver is awesome! He had such great development, from being a thief and hating Pokemon and thinking their tools to loving Pokemon and caring about them…which was what you and Lance made clear for him. And Giovanni was revealed to be his father, as in the Celebi event. I read so much fanfics about his mother and his backstory, it makes me cry so much! D:
I didn’t care for Brendan. He wasn’t prevalent at the end. He didn’t have much to him, sorry.
I really love SIlver, Hugh, Calem, Barry, and Bianca. Barry also had devlopment. He was jittery, impatient, and childish, and at the end of the game, when Cyrus is about to unleash whatever, he grows up (due to being beat by Jupiter and being picked on) and helps you out and becomes serious in a way.
I tend to like rivals with development, as you can see :3
Cheren is okay. The other XY friends did have some development but they were meh. Gary is okay, only thing I like is that he is kinda douchy xD
Wally is okay, I just wish he appeared more. He’s a like a little brother :3
      I think that’s all xD

  6. Was anyone here ever hoping that Illumise and Volbeat got retyped to Bug/Fairy types and that Misdreavus and Mismagius got retyped to Ghost/Fairy types before X&Y were released? I was so upset that they didn’t. Also Mega Gyarados, what kind of a cruel joke were they trying to pull. Heck if they made Mega Zard X Fire/Dragon type they could have made Mega Gyarados Water/Dragon D:

  14. Wow, it seems like I missed things xD
I missed a new person come here.
    And stuff.
But I beat the first Gym in my Nuzlocke! It’s a small goal, but before you know it, it’ll be over 😀

    • Hi I’m Justified Abra! Nice to meet you AlphaPercyEspeon!

I’m guessing Espy is one of your favorite Pokemon?

      Reply

      • Yes! 😀 And gardevoir, as you can see :3
I said a welcome down below, but I’ll welcome you here! 😀
Nice to meet you too ^^
I’m a crazy one, just so you know.

        Reply

        • I like Gardevoir too (not in a waifu way though lol).

My favorite Pokemon are Psychic types too (hence my name), my favorite Pokemon are Abra, the Slowpoke family and the Solosis Family. No Dark type attacks can defeat me lol

Thanks! I’m still getting used to the notifications from Disqus.

          • xD Me neither, considering I’m a girl who likes boys. Like Lucian…
            PERCYXLUCIAN OTP.
Sorry, I’m a shipper xD I ship myself, I know. TO prevent people from shipping me with everybody here xD
Nice 😀 I love Psychic types as well! Then Dragon then Fire.
Yeah, it’s a lot to get used to, but you won’t regret it, believe me 😀

          • Lol.

No worries. I used to always ship Brock with Professor Juniper (don’t judge me xD). I gave up on the dream cause I knew we’d never see Brock in Unova.

          • I have an army of ships. You have nothing to worry about with me xD
There is also another shipper here, but he’s not here xD

          • I damn near spit my water out reading your comment about an “army of ships”.

I don’t think you or anyone has asked me yet but I’m a girl.

          • :O :O :O
            Wat.
            More girls?
            YES YES YES YES 😀 😀 😀 😀
WE’re the few, the proud, the Girls.
xD And it’s true. My struggle everyday is not adding another ship to my army.
            It fails constantly.

          • I think there’s more Poke-Girls out there than what people think. Two of my friends are really into Pokemon, one likes the TCG more than the games though. I’ve never really understood the card game. I collect cards every now and then just for the nice art >3<

          • I used to collect the cards :3 But I had to give it away.
And I know, I just hope that more come :3
Not just because boys are tiring xD But it’s nice to have a fair amount of boys and girls on here 😀

          • Oh no I definitely get what your trying to say 😉

My two older brothers bug me to the core xP

          • I’m the oldest. My only sibling is my younger brother. He’s a weebo (“Someone not of the oriental race that tries impersonate or emulate the japanese or japanime culture.” -UrbanDictionary).

            *facepalms*

          • More girls! PJN’s pulling a SSBB this year!!!! The more the merrier.

            *thumbs up*

I’m a guy though, but I’m happy to see more gender diversity here.

    • Which game are you Nuzlocking? I can’t believe I didn’t ask this before.
      Congrats.
Don’t worry. Our new member got well acquainted. You get your chance to greet this person later on. 😉

      • Max is a failed clone of Wally.
        1. Befriended a Ralts.
        2. Small and really young.
        3. Kinda has Green Hair.

We still need an Anime Wally.

        • ^ Yes.
Also Lucian just needs to appear for my own sake.
Just so I can finally know what he’s like.
Then again, he’s already in the anime, but I am lazy.
          I don’t wanna search!

          • I found an episode with him. He has a different voice than I expected, but he’s so kind and sweet! :3
He honored Buizel’s request to fight and apologized for getting carried away
            *sigh*

          • Oh sweet cinnamon buns I love the Sinnoh region.

If we were to ever get new Sinnoh games I hope that they’re sequels. I really wish to know what became of Cyrus, that sucker promised that he’d come back for revenge in Diamond and Pearl, and in Platinum he said he vows to create a world without spirit.

          • I <3 Sinnoh too!

You know what I think (I've said this before, but I'll say it again since you're new)?

I speculate that the dark, ominous clouds on that island on the top (which I call Distortion Island), could be a sneak peak to Platinum Sequels. The player makes it to that island post-game, and sees a portal leading to the Distortion World. He/She hears a scary, deep laugh coming from there. The character gets close to it to examine it, but the portal quickly disappears. O__O

          • That would be absolutely amazing and it would keep people guessing until the games came out!

I have so many thoughts running through my head right now!

          • 😀 😀 I love Sinnoh! It’s thanks to SInnoh that made me love Pokemon even more :3
I hope for sequels too, but so long as I get Sinnoh, I’m happy.
It makes sense to do sequels, so I’m hoping :3
I need to know what happens to everyone really :3
Barry should be a Frontier Brain or a Gym Leader…something! :3

          • I love the fact that Sinnoh introduced so many great looking cross generation evolutions like Weavile, Roserade, Electivire, Yanmega and Froslass.

It really does make sense! It’s like they purposefully left off at that to possibly have us find out what happens in the future.

I love how wild and flighty Barry is. I remember always naming him Flapjack once Platinum was released xD (they look so much alike).

            https://i.chzbgr.com/maxW500/3333954816/h2D59A401/

          • Exactly! 😀 Diamond truly opened my eyes. I was gonna follow in my brother’s footsteps (he played Pokemon then quit after Emerald because he grew tired of it) but it reminded me why I love Pokemon 😀
I want that continuation 😀 It would make me super happy :3
xD That’s true 😀 And then he got serious after being beat by Jupiter and grew up to some extent :3

          • We’re reving about Sinnoh? YES! I love raving about Sinnoh! I greatly enjoyed my journey through the Sinnoh Region! Such a great cast of characters with a memorable and sort of jerkish rival, fantastic new pokemon, cross-gen evos (always been a big fan of that and it’s such a shame that Mega Evolution made this obsolete), fun paths to explore through, and best…champion…ever!!! Sorry Steven.

          • I don’t think Barry was at all jerkish. He was just childish and naive, in a way.
Then he grew up, became serious, and showed how he changed through his journey :’3

          • I kinda think of jerkish as immature, but you’re right about that. One of few rivals that recived a lot of character development. 🙂

          • Platinum is the best Pokemon game to date in my personal opinion. Sorry not sorry >3<

Mega Evolution really put a wedge into things. So many standalone Pokemon had potential to evolve and become better but nope let's give them Mega's like Mawile and Sableye and limit their usage 🙁

They better not touch my baby Dunsparce. Dunsparce Normal/Dragon evolution ftw!

Yes! Yes! Yes! So much Yes! Cynthia is the best champion hands down no questions asked. Her team was diverse, her theme was bad ass (dat piano in the beginning omg), she's a total beauty, she is interested in Pokemon mythology and history I can keep going on xD

          • Platinum is seriously the best! 😀
And yeah, I didn’t care for Megas at first, but now they’re okay. But I hoped for evos for some, like Absol D:
Cynthia is best forever! She was so involved and I love mythology, so I love her! 😀

          • To be fair though, Mega Mawile is a beast though, AND I get to love my precious Mawile and not his/her evolved forme, like how people love Yanmega, but don’t like Yanma.

As for some others though, yeah, Mega Sableye.
*closes teeth and sucks in air in disappointment.*

          • That is true. But just imagine if Mega Mawile were to have actually been a real evolution for Mawile and it were able to use held items (… I’m drooling now).

If anything they should have just simply let Mega Sableye keep Prankster or dare I say it? Give it Wonder Guard.

If a misfortune happens and Dunsparce receives a Mega Evolution they better leave its Serene Grace ability alone or give it something better if they decide to change it.

          • That was actually nice to see of him opening up his eyes and simmering down a bit.

I sometimes wish we could see the old rivals in future game regions as challengers (like Red atop Mt. Silver) champions or just visiting said region. Like they mentioned Blue in X&Y, in one of the Lumiose City Pokemon Centers but they don’t show him anywhere, it just made me sad ):

          • Yeah D: I would love to see Silver. He’s my fav!
So much development there. I just love him to death.

          • *sends a poster of Lucian to your house*
(1-2 Day Shipping, First Class, Mint Condition…with an Espeon Plush)

And I just gave away what I would give you as a welcome/birthday/christmas present.

            Welcome Happy Christmas Birthday!!!

          • :O If that actually happened, I would be too excited xD
            And thanks :3
What would be the guy version of a waifu xD A husbandu?
People are gonna accuse me of having one xD

  21. Well, since I pretty much said it earlier, I’d might as well give you my top six regions list!

    1. Sinnoh
    2. Hoenn
    3. Unova
    4. Kalos
    5. Johto
    6. Kanto

    • You never played the GBC version? It’s adorable and fun, but it’s basically the trading card game in digital format – so be warned it’s not as exciting as regular battles 🙂
