Zach and I both agreed from the beginning that Jungle Funnies wasn’t going to solely focus on Pokémon. Almost everyone here is a Nintendo fan and probably also a gamer so occasionally he’ll touch on issues outside our Pokéverse 🙂 Today is the first such comic and looks at the slight disappointment some Zelda and Nintendo fans had with what was revealed for Zelda’s HD foray…

– Orders it’s three companions who helped him escape to rid the world of humans; Diancie, Hoopa, and Volcanion
– It hates humans as they betrayed him
– The antagonists ask for your help and you agree
– You change Zygarde but it’s too late
– Zygarde sacrifices himself and speaks to you, “thank you, I now see the light in humans, thank you.”
– Xerneas uses it’s powers to bring Zygarde back to life and it’s happily ever after
I can see this as a movie
Bringing something back to life defeats the purpose of a sacrifice.
It actually doesn’t as the player doesn’t know it’s going to happen.

I’ve always wonder why Pokemon hasn’t put the VS. Seeker in other games after Pokemon Platinum. I understand why it wasn’t in HG/SS because it was a remake. It could have been in B/W and up! The feature was super helpful!

i still think the zygarde right now is just him in his Cacoon type form…. his true form could break out in Z which is why his defense is really good…. so i think his true form would be reallly good in Attacking

Actually no! He was the most challenging for my team, but he was still easy. I just used Fly on him twice. Crobat is a tank, even against Gallade.

I would rate it “A” for trying, and B+ for execution.
I’d rate it a C- for the pure fact that after a period of time I just got bored with it. And for me, it was pretty hard to level up, but maybe that’s my own fault.
For me, the story just wasn’t interesting enough, at least not like Black and White was. Then again, this is my opinion. Take it or leave it.
That’s part of the “elongated story” and I have to agree, it did get boring at times.

– Paced story line but greatly done
– An almost bland climax but saved by N
– Background telling of N’s past
Overall, I would rate it “A” for trying and A- for execution.
What was the underlying message?
The main underlying message was; even during the most of turbulent times, you can get through and the “hero” can be anyone, anything as long as you give enough effort and aim to be the best. Villains, big or small can make a huge difference and you must deal with them but, human beings are human beings and no human being is pure evil or pure good, you must try everything in your power and will to break free of the “bad” and do good.
Isn’t that the message for all pokemon games?
Unova is by far my favorite region thus far.

The gym leaders all opposed the “liberation idea” but some, like Iris also had second thoughts, giving us a contradiction of beliefs from the beginning. One of the many bread and butter of the story was N; a green-haired trainer capable of hearing and conversing with Pokemon. He was fleshed out and became a symbol to all. Ghetsis merely used him for his own purposes and because of this, N grew as a person before our eyes. Even the NPC’s played a role! Their actions, experiences, and thoughts on the idea of liberation and Team Plasma gave us an idea of how much Team Plasma’s influence really was! I cannot express enough how amazing and well executed the Black and White “novel” was! Perfection in the Pokemon sense!

Where to start? Pokemon X and Y, story-wise seemed as if it were a drawback from the epic tales of Black and White. Although the story possessed moments of glory and satisfaction, their goals although defined were poorly executed. The characters, villains, and rivals were barely fleshed, seeming to only be there as props rather than characters. The underlying message of beauty was the bread and butter of X and Y but, like the other moments, it was poorly executed. AZ, a mysterious and immortal giant was the truly fleshed out character although his part in the game only lasted minutes compared to the main characters and villains. The antagonists were disappointing and unlike Plasma grunts, had zero affiliation with their goal. Moments of highlight were over exaggerated and moments of sadness were over exemplified, no sense of balance. The music did not help as it sounded like a cacophony of needless noise. AZ and his Floette to this day remain the only fleshed out characters although they received minimal time in-game. X and Y’s characters are the definition of Twilight excluding AZ and his Floette.

Gen 6’s music was the best. It actually sounded like it was actually made in person, which might have happened. And the music fit the cities and moments really well.

The E4 theme, I despised that. All in all, the music was great but I hated how it was passed out. Some music fitted other moments better than the original ones.
I never liked the battle themes, especially the Gym Leader, but it still was nice :3

I chose Emboar for this playthrough, and I have no Dragon-types or Ice-types, or TMs for those types for that matter.
Try using 2 X-Speeds and 2-3 X-Attacks, and heal Emboar up prior to Flygon. Hopefully you can one-shot it with a Fighting move.
Last Jolly 5ivs in everything but Sp Attack with pressure and i get….

It seems like cheating, but try buffing Emboar before the Flygon using 2-3 X-Attacks and 2 X-Speed, heal up then continue battling. Hopefully you can one-shot Flygon with a fighting move.
I nearly KO’d with an Arm Thrust. All Emboar needed to do was hit more than two times. Instead, it hit two times. I’m fuming. But I’ll try your suggestion next time.

It’s not that slow you need to trick room to use it, but rage powder Amoonguss support will help. Wide Guard users like Aegislash can help defend it from Earthquake and Dazzling Gleam.

I posted a theory about this on the last article. Since Deoxys is the DNA pokemon, and a DNA design appears above pokemon when they mega evolve, I think that Deoxys will get a Mega. The gem in Anistar could be part of whatever Deoxys came to earth in.

I finally have an Aroma Veil Spritzee and I have sooo many eggs! Does anybody need HA 4-5IV Spritzees? I keep trying for a female HA with Modest and perfect IVs in everything except Attack, but my game hates me and gives those qualities to the males. So I have a Spritzee surplus. Let me know now before I give them away via WT. I have 4IV females with HAs too. No special eggs moves excpet what the parents know.

The secondary steel typing would make fire moves from torchic neutrally effective, and combusken’s double kick would be 4x effective. The only starter hurt by it would be treecko, but treecko’s a boss anyway so I’m sure it’ll be fine.
