This is it. Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft and Sony all gave their E3 presentations yesterday and gave an excellent look at the games they plan to deliver over the next few years. Today is the turn of Nintendo. Once again Nintendo will be delivering their content in a special digital event, rather than an actual conference held in Los Angeles.
Here is where you’ll find all our coverage of the entire event, though expect a separate coverage post for any Pokémon-related news. We are a Pokémon site after all! In this post you’ll find a live stream, the PokéJungle Chat, our coverage and the comments section full of bustling conversation. Got a question? Ask it below! We want to hear all of your thoughts about E3 this year. What are you most excited for? Anything, put it below!
Don’t forget, for full coverage check out Retry Level!
Live Coverage
- The broadcast has started!
- Nintendo’s gone all serious, like. With dubstep and fighting.
Smash Bros. and amiibo
- Smash Bros. Wii U is up first, showing off the Mii Fighters
- There are three vareties of fighters: Brawlers, Sword Fighters and gunners. All with different abilities and fighting techniques. Each type is a separate fighters. Now you can’t fight against anyone (as a Mii)
- amiibo has been announced – a “toys to life” system. This is Nintendo’s NFC figurines. amiibo will activate data in compatible games, data can change within the amiibo. The first game supporting amiibo is Super Smash Bros. Wii U, both launching Holiday 2014.
- Other Nintendo games will support amiibo, with Mario Kart 8 gaining support in the future.
Yoshi’s Woolly World
- Next up is Yoshi’s Woolly World – this is a Yoshi game, not a sequel to Kirby’s Epic Yarn. Said Kirby game has however, been used to create a new Yoshi game with elements drawn from it.
- The game has an absolutely adorable style and is centred around exploration; Yoshi’s abilities are able to be utilised in exploration
- The game will now feature 2 player mode. Allowing you to overcome obstacles as a team. You can eat the other Yoshi to spit them out, either helping them or attacking them
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker
- Captain Toad has been announced and is a 3D platforming game featuring Toad from the MArio series. Available Holiday 2014.
The Legend of Zelda
- The latest Zelda game is coming to Wii U. Welcome to the new world of Zelda! Boundaries have been removed from the game, this is a proper open-world Zelda game
- The game will arrive in 2015
POKÉMON
- Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire release November 21st in North America and November 28th in Europe
Mario Maker
- Missed some stuff covering Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire trailer. Mario Maker has been confirmed and allows you to create you own Mario levels
Splatoon
- Splatoon is a new multiplayer game in which the player has to cover maps in their teams ink colour. Using the Wii U Game Pad’s gyroscope allows you to control your character and where you shoot accordingly
- The Game Pad has numerous features, allowing you to track your allies and move next to them
That’s all!

I can’t. My hype is going off the charts.
That awkward moment when we get less gameplay shown than GetTV.
Less gameplay means more time for title reveals, I hope!
Huge news in GET TV LAND 2 minute recap of COROCORO and maybe a 1 minute trailer
I really need to stop with the ORAS artwork. xD
“We’re all bros here”
Awe, I like this one a lot XD
Thank you!
Group photo! Makes me wonder if we’ll get photo spots in ORAS ouo
OMG I was thinking about that just a little bit ago! And if PSS will make a return!
I would love to take a photo in front of the Abandoned Ship!
Mega Swampert to strong. BEAR HUG!
Nintendo worked on Star Fox Wii U for about 6 to 10 months. Not too long!
I have nothing better to do, so I’m back. How many games do you think will be shown off at E3?
1 ¡
For Nintendo?
Around 7-9?
Maybe. IDk.
1 !
3.
I hope they show that cool history/timeline of Pokemon games like how they did for XY
I have thattimeline on my wall. :3
I have the timeline poster as well but it’s nothing like that trailer they released for it, with the Pika running past all the starters and box arts etc
Oh, that XD I didnt know wat you were talking about.
If Super Smash Bros (in both versions) uses NFC, I think they’d use it for new costumes and to carry custom movesets. I’d buy them. But my other theory is that since the 3ds has limitations, they will cram everything they can into the game, then add new characters, through NFC.
NFC?
*NFP lol sorry
NFP?
Nintendo Firgure Platforms or something. Its basically skylanders.
the damned figurines…
Ew, me no like that idea
Me neither. But they m.ight, so I brought it up anyway
NFC wouldn’t be a good idea to introduce characters. Some would think it’s a waste of money. It best to be used for costumes and maybe a new Final Smash. As you said in your comment.
Thats most likely, and what I’d like best, but if it came down to that to add new characters, I’d buy it. Characters are my favorite part of the game.
Isn’t that why people buy the game. XD Is to play with all of your favorite Nintendo characters.
Of course. xD But Sakurai stated the 3ds has limitations, and they are focusing on gameplay mechanics, rather than adding alot of new characrers. The typical 3ds card can only hold about 8 gbs of data.
I’m really looking forward to play Star Fox U. nuff said lol
I guess it seems cool
Microsoft did better than Sony at E3 this year. Sony didn’t do much! XD
Someone has to win each year and it looks like Microsoft was the winner this year. After last year Sony deserves a break hahaha
Nintendo = Microsoft > Sony.
Hey now, Sony has some solid stuff that in some cases out ranks both Microsoft and Nintendo. They each have their strong points and weak points. This year it just so happened that Microsoft did better. That doesn’t mean the Sony conference was useless.
I’m talking about E3. XD Not what they do! IK Sony wasn’t bad. But it wasn’t good. They showed some things I liked such as LBP3, MGS:tPP, and MKX. I didn’t like their conference very much! XD
Fair enough lol
Sony had LBP3 which was a good for me (since Sony is my second favorite)
True! That’s one of the few things I liked! XD
Microsoft for me had too much trailer and not enough gameplay.
Sony were the winners for me.
Especially with Mortal Kombat X whew child I need that game in my life ASAP
Oh God I still haven’t seen the MK X footage!!!!!! I’ll be right back Hahahhaha
XD there is a CGI-Trailer for it with a cool Wiz Khalifa song playing and then actual gameplay with two new fighters.
I Saw the pre-rendered one with Wiz Khalifa. I just now watched the one from yesterday hahahaha
That was sick. Mortal Kombat X seems awesome!
Oh my gosh guys! I got disqus to work on my computer! Finally! So much hype!
And I’m here too, I just got here really! 😀
SO EXCITED MY HYPE LEVELS ARE EXTREME!
#SinnohConfirmed #Infrenape4SSB
That would totally be awesome xD
Infrenape > Sceptile
Eh Sceptile has a better chance
I agree and we need Grass-type coverage.
But I’m fine with with Infernape too! 😀
idc
So what is everyone’s favorite Smash game?
Mine is Melee
I like the face paceness, and it had my favorite smash character of all time! Do you know who it is?
Brawl.
Why?
Brawl was more balanced and faster. XD Melee wasn’t bad. I remember playing it a ton as a kid!
jigglypuff
Roy. Roy as in the koopaling.
Brawl because of Wario and Kind Dedede
My favorite game is Super Smash Bros 4.
You haven’t even touched it
But I live and breathe the hype everyday.
Ithsme! Its been a while! How’ve you been?
Busy. xD I’m back to staty tho!

Jerk D:
No one was there! I did not know there was a new article!
CUHRYINNNNGGGGGGGG
I just noticed it on twitter when they first posted it..
I did not like hoe they changed the pace from Melee to Brawl, it was just so quick and hard to get used to…
It’s going to be an even between Melee and Brawl’s speed.
From the pictures it looks that way 😀
This game looks so good!
I mean i have like 10 mains, i have never had so much, but they make the characters looks so great

Layered with love <3
This is it. This is Nintendo’s chance to really promote the wii u. will they succeed or will they fail? only time will tell.
… Zelda for Wii U, Smash Bros., Star Fox, and Hyrule Warriors. Crowd Killer.
either way I’m still getting one. XD
Mario Kart 8 already kinda started that chain reaction, and Luigi’s Death Stare helped as well. It is doing better than the Xbone.
I WANT A WII U :*(

Good, because none of the streams are working for me.

Hate to burst your bubble, but I didn’t… I just got really lucky..
Let me just tell you. If, after all of my ranting and hoping, Fawful or Jill are revealed for Smash Bros. this morning, I will scream so loud that the neighbors will hear me. And my mind would explode.
