I cannot wait to read descriptions of new megaevoultions when they will be released at official english site. So far, we had really good story behind them like Medicham for example.

To me it seems that they were already planning to introduce new megas at remakes and Blaziken was a hint to it. I don’t know if they just think to make primal forms after X and Y but changing Aerodactyl’s form would be somewhat messy.
I think that they wouldn’t add another form right now, only for G and K. Some people are still getting the jist of Mega Evo.
Thats the thing though. Groudon & Kyogre’s arent form changes. They’re still quite literally mega evolutions, they just aren’t called mega evolutions they have a new title. If you look at the battling screen you can see that Groudon still has the mega stone icon in its name
