It has been announced that this Sunday’s Pokémon Get TV episode will premier world exclusive footage of The third generation remakes. Few details were revealed about the games besides their box art and November 2014 release window. Iwata told investors that the games will be full remakes of the original Ruby and Sapphire games. The Japanese Pokémon Daisuki Club site also questioned what the two cover Pokémon were, giving way to speculation that they’ll receive new formes of some type in the remakes.

and Wi-fi visiting will be enabled. Battles inside secret bases will be a
feature. A generic background will be displayed during the battle.
The two bikes return – Mach and Acro.
Swampert and Sceptile will have Mega Evolutions. 17 new added . Not including the Eon Duo.
You can pick a Generation 2 starter mid-game ( at the 4th
gym roughly ) each with a new Mega Evolution.
New Mega Evolutions.
Gen1: Jynx
Gen2: Meganium, Feraligatr, Typhlosion
Gen3: Sceptile, Swampert, Plusle, Minun, Masquerain, Milotic, Groudon*, Kyogre*
Gen4: Luxray, Cherrim

*Groudon and Kyogres mega stones are actually the Orbs.
Swampert will retain its original typing, Sceptile will gain
Dark typing.
Generation 2 starters will remain Grass, Fire, Water.
The games will be released on the 21 November.
A patch will be added to Pokemon X and Y on November 23 to allow for cross game communication.

Am I the only person who is kinda hoping that what we see on the box-art isn’t a mega evolution for groudon and kyogre but new forms in general? Don’t get me wrong, though, I love mega evolution, and think it has changed the games for the better, but i kinda like the idea of a form change, possibly due to an event, or held item, and not something i could only see in battle.

I like the idea of a mega evolution. That way, once Drizzle runs out on the battle field, you can mega evolve and spark of the Drizzle again.
Can’t do that with a form change.
I just feel like they might be trying to push mega evolution too much. I mean it was really cool to battle alongside them in X and Y, and the fact Latias and Latios are getting Megas is cool, but somewhere, you have to draw the line.
Mega Kyogre with Swift Swim would so OP! Kyogre sets Drizzle mega for overall stat boost & Swift Swim DOUBLES the already boosted speed!
Everyone keeps saying this over at Gamefaq’s lol. I was in the minority. I had wanted its ability when it mega evolves to be a permanent Drizzle lol, but swift swim would still be cool. Only have 3-5 turns to make use of the speed though.
Yup. Form change makes more sense to me than a mega. How can a Legend unleash its raw anger if it needs to connect with a trainer. The way I see it, a trainer prevents the anger from reaching critical mass thus preventing the explosion of power. They change form to unleash their inner demons!

-Regigigas (in a secret chamber after you catch the 3 regi’s)
