A Japanese trailer for the upcoming Mega Evolution special, airing April 3, has been put up. It features the main character with his Charizard as well as some other characters and their Mega Evolved Pokémon.

Looks like it’ll be good!

    Chapter 1: Joshua Dice- Pokemon Trainer

    After 15 years of suffering, it was finally time for poor old Joshua Dice to embark on a Pokemon Journey. His father had died in the Great Kalos War, and his mother had been held hostage by a team of reckless Pokemon manipulators when he was only 5 years old. His best friend has been in a coma for 12 years, and a poor old woman was blinded trying to save Joshua. Joshua has had such a depressing childhood, but he is now a teenager and with the help of Professor Acacia, he is ready to take on the 13 gyms of Arkor. Joshua had lived in Blossom Village all of his life, but now it meant so much more to him. The songs of Cherubis and Chatots warmed his heart, and gave him a little tingly feeling inside. He had never felt such an emotion than the few moments he had spent with his mother, presumed to be dead by local officials. It was the date of October 19th, 2017, that Joshua had turned 15 years old, and he was old enough to embark on his very own Pokemon Journey. He had woken up, and had looked at the poster he had received from his mother before her disappearance- of Flareel, Pature and Swarra, one of which would be his companions for the remainder of his journey. He opened his eyes, and slowly climbed out of the quilt his mother created before her disappearance. He kissed the photo of his mother, with a tear slowly running down the side of his face. He could never forget how beautiful she was, and never wanted to miss a moment with her. He knew that one day, he could find her, and show her how far he’s come as a Pokemon trainer. He climbed downstairs to meet his grandmother and grandfather, both still traumatized after their experience with a “Team Jasper,” years back. He had held Joshua close in their arms, and wished him the best of luck on his journey. They wanted him to remember that no matter where his mother and father were, they always loved him and would always be in his heart. Another group of tears rushed down the side of poor Joshua’s face. He took a deep breath, and tried to escape the depression he was facing because of his mother’s disappearance. He exited the front door of his home, and was introduced to a village of peace and calm. Trees bright red with cherries and bright, wet grass surrounded his home. A huge garden with flowers blooming and blossoming like never seen before were covering the sides of his home. Then there was the one flower that he had always kept with him- the red chrysanthemum his mother had given him. It was an immense flower, which his mother had said symbolized the love she had for him. The love was endless, as was the flower, because every day of Joshua’s life, the flower grew larger and larger. He knew part of his mother’s soul was in that flower, and that it would be there with him every step of the way. More and more tears rushed down the side of his cheek. He slowly made his way to Professor Acacia’s lab, where she would await Joshua with one of three Pokemon. Along the way, friends of Joshua’s had wished him good luck and only the best on his journey. He appreciated these words, as he didn’t really have anyone to support him in life after his mother had been taken away. He opened the door to Professor Acacia’s lab, and everyone in the lab had thrown him a surprise party, to commemorate the beginning of his journey. Confetti, balloons, streamers and loud music awaited him, which definitely enlightened his spirits. He had smiled for the first time ever since his mother’s disappearance, and appreciated all of the time and effort Professor Acacia’s Pokemon Researchers put into this surprise. Professor Acacia and her researchers had given Joshua many pieces of information about what a Pokemon Trainer does, what he/she strives to do, what can be seen in the Arkor region, and much more. He was very blessed and overwhelmed to be given such an opportunity to become a trainer, much like his mother, who he always looked up to and loved with all of his heart. Afterwards, the professor had allowed Joshua to pick one of three Pokemon- Flareel, the Fire/Electric Eel Pokemon, Pature, the Grass Frog Pokemon, and Swarra, the Water/Flying Swan Pokemon. He knew that a Swan was the symbol of love, and it could not be expressed in words how much he loved his mother. With personal intentions, he chose Swarra as his partner for the entirety of his Pokemon adventure, and Professor Acacia kindly gave him the Pokemon. He was also given a Pokedex, a device used to keep track of the Pokemon he would see on his journey. In addition, he was given the map of the Arkor region, which would be the indication of all of the possible places he could go. Finally, he was given a set of 10 Pokeballs to use on his journey to catch more Pokemon to add to his party of 10. Professor Acacia and the researchers wished him the best on his journey, and allowed him to begin his Pokemon adventure right away. He exited the laboratory with a smile on his face, and a specific goal in mind. He knew that with Pokemon on hand, he would be able to take down “Team Jasper,” the supposed group of people that had kidnapped his mother years back, and he would be able to conquer the rest of the Arkor region and become a trainer that held a strong bond with his Pokemon, as strong as a mother and son bond. He knew that a strong bond with his Pokemon was essential to accomplishing great things throughout the Arkor region, and that they would be great help in finding his mother if they had a better understanding of who Joshua really is as a person. With Swarra by his side, he was ready to take on the world, one step at a time.

  4. Should I evolve my gloom into bellossom or Vileplume? Personally I think Vileplume is better because it has less weaknesses and also STAB from poison moves. However, I do like Bellossom’s desgin better. Plus I’ve never had a bellossom. This is just for my ingame run through, but my Gloom does have modest nature 😛 I also have 3 sun stones (all from the stupid bug competition. Literally I have only won sun stones) and I don’t have a leaf stone.

          • That was good! It was depressing, but I like depressing stories. And how crazy would it be if his mother was the leader of team jasper and faked her own disappearance because it was she who accidentally killed her husband in the great kalos war!? And then she tries to get her son to come join them! That’s a little star warsy but it’d be interesting! xD

            It’d be crazy if we had such a plot twist. WOAH that’s brutal but hey, I killed of 7 people in my other fangame- X2 and Y2, so why not here? It definitely would be interesting to have such a twist. I’ll DEFINITELY consider that.

          • That plot twist could actually work. You could also make it so that she doesn’t recognize her own son at first, and tries to destroy him, when he find out it’s his mother.

  7. My childhood was pretty rough. My mom practically kicked me out of the house before I was 13. I never remembered much of my dad. You think that’s bad? My only friend was this asian guy who looked like he was in his 30s and only kept me in because he thought I could get him laid. The only perk was that I could hang out with this cute Ginger kid. She was flat as a pancake but damn she was hot. I also had this weird ass electric rat thing that followed me around.

  13. I’m going to make another film soon, one with a deep philosophical background and meaning. I have so many thoughts about existence nowadays that I can’t exactly keep it within myself and keep from going crazy, if that makes any sense. So…I’ll work on that soon.
    And I got some belated money for my birthday and I will buy the Pro Controller soon in preparation for Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros!
