Lucario was announced today as a returning character in Super Smash Bros: Wii U / 3DS. This is a great surprise with the recent release of Pokémon X and Y. I personally thought Lucario would have been up for removal for a generation six Pokemon (not to say that they won’t add another one, though), but its great to see it return to the series!
In the previous installment, Lucario’s “aura” grew stronger as his damage meter grew higher. Sakurai explains that this feature will be enhanced in the next installment of Smash Bros, which makes Lucario’s strength “a force to be reckoned with”. It will be interesting to learn how his aura effects the battle field and, as a Lucario user, how his play style will change.
Earlier today I had the pleasure to have an in-person discussion regarding this announcement with some of the Pokéjungle staff today and we were throwing some ideas around about Lucario’s addition to the Smash roster. Our speculation is that his final smash this time around will be his mega evolution instead of “Aura Blast”. He could be faster, stronger, and much more difficult to K.O which in his Mega Lucario state. I think they should even give it an expanded move-set in addition to a strength buff. Perhaps a longer range aura or added bounce effect to his moves. Also this will no doubt bring up speculation about Mewtwo and whether or not this news means he will not return as Lucario replaced him in the previous game and may do so for this one.
We’ll have to see what Sakurai has in store for us next with his rather elusive updates to Smash! I’m hoping for the return of another new Pokémon character (Pokemon Trainer with three new starters. . .?! A guy can dream, right?).
What do you hope for in the next Smash update? A new Pokémon Character? Some Metroid or Starfox love, perhaps? We’d love to here what you think!

I love how a lot of people are getting the shiny charm now. I’d love to do that as well but, I have absolutely no time in my life to do it.
aw :c…
Maybe over the summer or something. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do.
Chico, I have the entire National Dex in order waiting to transfer. When Pokebank comes out, we can trade a lot.
Please TC, I’d kiss you every day for eternity. 😡
It’s a guy thing.
Your pants though…. No no no
I’m “waiting until Bank”, which is quite ambitious in itself XD
That would help me a lot as well.
I’m also spending more time with my Wii U lately. I just completed all of my currently owned games, and now I’m looking to buy Monster Hunter to accommodate wait for Mario Kart.
TIme to get some heart scales
I have come to the conclusion that Nintendo needs a new Nintendo Direct very soon, with some new game announcements.
or a new smash character! Mewtwo’s Birthday is 4 days away!
Wouldn’t that be something! Two Pokemon characters within one week? Yes please!
I’d Die of excitement. I love Mewtwo.
I just want them to announce the next pokemon game either a main game or spin-off.
Since I’m playing the Wii U more often, I would love to see a Pokemon spin-off game on the system. Give us Pokken Warriors or the next Battle Revolution / Colosseum with 3DS connectivity!
That would be amazing.
Some people were not in approval of Battle Revolution because of its lack of story, but I thought it was okay because it had DS connectivity. We need more of that!
Ziia, you got the Shiny Charm!? :O CONGRATZ! :DD
aaa actually… he said im in the final countdown..? i did all of the kalos dexes.. i dunno what im missing o_o; looking thru this list is gonna be killer X_X
castform?
The same thing happened to me! All the Kalos Dexes need crowns! Check every dex which doesn’t have it and get those Pokemon! I thought I did it with Crustle, but nope :/
Just got destroyed by Final Gambit :O Completely forgot about that move.

Note to self: Assault vest and ability capsule
Good game!
Yea GG!
Am I the only one who uses the Notes app on the iPhone to keep track of upcoming games? Probably…
i have something too it called the internet XD
I have a hard time convincing myself of things, so let me do what I do okay XD
oh ya retrylevel made a mistake it doesnt come out may 8th i asked nintendo they said just may 2014
That’s fine with me…there will be a three month drought for that sad system either way.
Does anyone have a ratatta or raticate I can borrow for the dex please?
I think I do
Can we please trade and trade back?
lol The Khrp

Thanks!
Ay!
Ziia did you find you want your missing?
