Could Pokémon come to iOS & Android?

Nintendo reported their third straight loss to investors, and it seems as though they may be willing to seek new ways to make profit.

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo’s president, said he would continue to run the company and added, “We are thinking about a new business structure. Given the expansion of smart devices, we are naturally studying how smart devices can be used to grow the game-player business. It’s not as simple as enabling Mario to move on a smartphone.”

As iOS and Android devices have gained market traction and improved hardware, they’ve been seen as direct competitors to Nintendo’s handheld consoles. Mobile gaming applications often cost only a couple of dollars, much less than traditional handheld games.

The Pokémon Company has released some apps for mobile devices, including their 3D Pokédex and a Japan-exclusive simple rhythm game which tied into the trading card game, but they have never released other games.

We’ll have to watch Nintendo’s strategies closely. Would you like to see Mario, Zelda or Pokémon on your phone or tablet?

    • The anger it’s real xD Jordin let me tell you a story of an active imagination *Clears throat* it was a dark and scary night that only happens once in every blue moon the cries that fill the air will be that of a person born with the intellect of a magikarp (actually that may offend the magikarp) anyway as they come of age they will start up a innocent game only to delete it because their pokemon may be a little discolored and the sparkle’s might make them imagine it’s from some foreign planet that is in communication with alien’s who made rainbow’s and happy stuff the invisible camera of watching all life forms waiting to rein in the terror upon the human race only to come to the conclusion that if they don’t do away with the poor innocent little shiny what little brain they have will be the chew toy of the pokemon lord the mudkip had no idea their trainer would be cruel enough to not give it a chance to light up their life full of adventure and friendship the trainer feeling quit proud of them self had no idea of what is to follow soon after the peace didn’t last long as MudkipEraser’s home started turning a eerie color of a haunted house the plant’s withered his food dried where there was barely a crumb the wood board’s of his floor creaked and a bang was heard the young MudkipEraser walked forward with barely any strength once outside the field shined so brightly as overhead a UFO appeared once landing out pop’s the ghost of mudkip with a grin of payback screaming MudkipEraser tried escaping but it was no use in a flash the clearing emptied like nothing ever happened to this day you can hear the cries of the trainer and maniacal laughter of shiny mudkip as he feed’s him the truth of what he has done.So kid’s let this teach you a lesson never delete your game because your pokemon is different or they will haunt you for the rest of your life 😉
      PS:This story was created to be funny and in no way is meant to be hurtful ^_^ and you will not become haunted by the mudkip or will you? muwahahaha XD
