Could Pokémon come to iOS & Android?

Nintendo reported their third straight loss to investors, and it seems as though they may be willing to seek new ways to make profit.

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo’s president, said he would continue to run the company and added, “We are thinking about a new business structure. Given the expansion of smart devices, we are naturally studying how smart devices can be used to grow the game-player business. It’s not as simple as enabling Mario to move on a smartphone.”

As iOS and Android devices have gained market traction and improved hardware, they’ve been seen as direct competitors to Nintendo’s handheld consoles. Mobile gaming applications often cost only a couple of dollars, much less than traditional handheld games.

The Pokémon Company has released some apps for mobile devices, including their 3D Pokédex and a Japan-exclusive simple rhythm game which tied into the trading card game, but they have never released other games.

We’ll have to watch Nintendo’s strategies closely. Would you like to see Mario, Zelda or Pokémon on your phone or tablet?

  1. It has been discovered that in the last couple of months Nintendo, Gamefreak and Creatures Inc have filled a couple of trademarks, these were:

“Battle Simulator” (バトルシミュレーター) and “Card Gyms” (カードジ) – Register December 10th, 2013
    “PokéTouch” (ポケタッ) – Filled November 14th, 2013 and Published December 14th, 2013.
“Phantom Gate” (ファントムゲート) – Register January 14th, 2014

  2. Anybody knows where this is from

“I, who stand in the full light of the heavens, command thee, who opens the gates of hell. Come forth, divine lightning! This ends now! Indignation!

      • Cool Cool. Would it be bad having 2 ghost types on a team? Like Trevenant and Gengar? That’s why I’m planning on using Klefki.

        • I’d drop Gengar. Sucker Punch to the face XD It’s fast and strong, yet fragile and would most likely faint from a BP 40 physical move + STAB.

Munchies is actually defensive so it’s good. Get something that is immune/resistant to its weaknesses like a Slowbro (preferably Slowbro for those TF, namely Robin) or Slowking and a Normal-type like Porygon2.

Make a team where you don’t share a common weakness. Having a Togekiss with a Slowbro on the same team isn’t such a good idea. Synergy. If you have a Normal-type, a Ghost-type is a pretty good idea since it’s immune. Let’s say you have a Mega Venusaur, Mandibuzz would be great for your team! It’s incredibly bulky. I could try to help more on the chat if you’d like 😀

Sorry it took so long, I had to search up some resistances xD
