The Pokémon Plus & Pokémon Minus Rumors

Although I’m covering this news story, it’s by popular demand. I don’t believe any of this and I highly recommend that you do not either.

The site DualPixels (which has since crashed) claimed to have gotten “information” from a leaker about Generation VII. They claim:

  • Two new games are codenamed Pokémon Plus & Pokémon Minus, could be final
  • The battle system is going to be re-worked completely and simplified
  • New region is based on Southeast Asia, may have islands
  • GameFreak is trying many new ideas out that they’ve been holding onto
  • “Three new starters with no names: Water evolves into Water/Steel and is a squat, teardrop shaped humanoid that has a jar filled with on its head as it evolves it grows taller and the jar bigger until it needs another set of arms to hold it on it’s head. Fire evolves into Fire/Fairy and is a tiny cute goat with fire blowing out of its horns, it’s horns and look evolves more menacing until it has curly ram like horns and a motorcycle hot-rod-like look. Grass evolves into a Grass/Electric and starts with a leap for a face with a nubby root as a body and evolves until it grows into an electric producing palm tree with each flower petal having a different face.”
  • “The main legendary for Pokemon Plus is a Shi Foo Lion-looking Psychic/Ground-type that has multiple faces, the Pokemon Minus legendary is a Ghost/Fairy type that has two dashes for eyes and is a hurricane-like appendages with many arms and hands.”
  • “The new “Team” villains are described as a bunch of “Sohei Zelots”-types who have discovered the player’s best friend as a reincarnation of a special type of person who only is alive every 100 years. They believe the old system where people were given a Pokemon egg and they stick to that Pokemon until they die and who’s function in society dictate what role that person is. They are against the “modern” trend of Pokemon Trainers and capturing multiple Pokemon and are making a holy pilgrimage to evoke the old Legendaries to turn everything back to normal. They keep the player away from their friend, saying the special one (who can do amazing things like mega evolve Pokemon without the use of a mega ring) only love is that of Pokemon and not people. It is planned to be reveal later that for the special one to fulfill their role in society they must be mortally sacrificed to awaken the legendaries.”

          • Never feel bad for a bully. If social or family issues are a cause of their misconduct, which is highly unlikely by the way, they should be mature enough to handle it without making others feel hurt. Every bully deserves to be punished.

          • But the thing is I never saw him be a bully, all i saw him do was spam videos and not own up to his work.I really have never seen him call someone a name. As a matter of fact none of us here can techniacally say he is the disliker without any proof there is no way of seeing it. But this is a type person I am though if I don’t see anyone be bad then they are not bad. Trust me if I saw or heard what he did exactly then I would believe

          • He continually posted spam videos which he could get banned for, despite our warnings. According to the Disqus rules you need to be a member to downvote. Nobody has anything against us that i know of other than VoltSonic, His posts were pretty much the only posts that weren’t downvoted by the “Phantom”. His motive was the annoyance of us always downvoting his links and telling him to stop posting them. Which could have been avoided if he would have listened to us. Skiddo apologized for his joke account earlier and despite this, VS kept being rude to/insulting skiddo. I told him that he needed to stop harassing Skiddo because it was illegal. He claimed that he wasn’t harassing anyone which is total bs cause the evidence is right there. he deserves what’s coming to him. Hammer of ban.

          • Wow are you serious . People like those are the reason why other sites are bad, he makes us look bad, and the most annoying part is probably when he says I’m sorry and then does again. When you say sorry I think that means you mean what you did and will TRY NOT TO DO IT AGAIN! Does he think that we will forget what he did the next day? Do not say sorry then do what you did again because the sorry becomes pointless! I really think he should stop! Come back when he gets manners . I do not think I will flag him (I don’t like doing that) but I do think he should get a punishment

          • He honestly deserved the flagging, and it makes our community look bad, All of the people i’ve met in the community were great people and i never had a problem with anyone til this happened. Sorry is a word that anyone can say and it’s a worthless word unless it can be proven. By him repeating his actions, he’s showing that he’s not sorry despite his claims. As Kevin said, VS needs to grow up.

        • He basically made another rude remark to Skiddo, then we all blew our fuses (especially me). I am still pissed off at the guy, and refuse to believe he is truly sorry. IF HE COMES BACK HERE AGAIN.

    But ash vs trip final battle being 1v1 was so teribble I wanted to see growth on both of the teams!

      • Him against the guy with Darkrai was intense.. went more like an actual wifi battle with 1 hit KO’s and losing multiple Pokes to overpowered teams full of legendary’s

        • Understandable but the fact that it’s against some hax doesn’t make it thee most intense
          Ash vs Paul has WAY more heated backbone to it, they were rivals from an instant constantly growing over the season until the big finale in the League

    • I HATE AMV’s.., everyone just wants to see the actual battle but instead we get Tons of AMV’s.. a person who just posted the battles would get a Lot more views.. people say its a copyright thing but that’s a lie.. short battles never get deleted from youtube

  5. The pokeradar has to be the most difficult thing I have encountered in a pokemon game, like I can not get the hang of this thing :/

    • It’s a bit hard to use, and pretty unreliable. :/ People have speculated that friend safaris are the equivalent to a 40-hit chain, so that’s an option, if all else fails!

    • The pokeradar is for the most skilled shiny hunters and is probably the most useless tool in the game. Chain-fishing and Friend Safariing(?) are the most viable options.

  23. Got the Shiny Charm last night! I think this thing pretty much broke shiny encounters. In about 15 minutes of horde searching, I found a shiny Nidoran (male). Then this morning, another 15 minutes and a shiny Spinda in a horde. I ll keep trying later and post pictures of whatever I find. Unfortunately i m in the middle of jury duty right now.
