The very first Pokémon is set to air in North America on Cartoon Network on January 4th at 8:30 am (confirm with your local listings). The movie has been digitally remastered and should be a real treat for older fans of the series who may have seen the movie when they were younger.
Movie Synopsis
Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket, had ambitious plans to take over the world, involving his latest experiment, a powerful clone of Mew—Mewtwo. Mewtwo is very powerful, and also very smart—smart enough to not want to be controlled by Giovanni. It escaped from the lab, and now Mewtwo begins to concoct its own scheme, clandestinely inviting a number of Pokémon Trainers to the ultimate test. Of course, if it’s an event for talented Trainers, Ash Ketchum will be right in the front row!
Ash’s excitement turns to fear and anger when Mewtwo reveals its plan for domination, creating powerful clones of all of the kids’ Pokémon so it can even the “imbalance” between Pokémon and their Trainers. Out of curiosity, how old are protagonists in Pokemon games nowadays? I heard that the the ones in BW were 14 and in B2W2 they were 12.
As for XY, I predict that Callem and Serena are 16 because I compared my character’s (Callem) height w/ Emma (who is confirmed to be 16) and their heights were practically the same (stupid hat gave me trouble).
I’m not 100% sure, but they’re definitely older then the protagonists from the previous games.

Wouldn’t you want ice beam or scald instead of nasty plot? Both calm mind and nasty plot raise special attack, so you could have another attacking move or a recovery move like slack off. Also you have no way to hit dark types.

I don’t know about “REALLY” but anything with slack off and regenrator as it’s ability is fine as long the the other 3 moves are any of the following: Scald, Psychic, Psyshock, Ice Beam, Flamethrower, Thunder Wave, Toxic, Trick Room

(For those who say it won’t affect breeding, it could still a mistranslation since the Japanese text didn’t specify.)

Depends really. Sometimes 10 minutes in, sometimes an hour+. 1/1365.3 chance is not that bad.

People who say Gen 1 is boring have mental problems… if it were boring then the game wouldn’t be what it is today because no one would have played it, maybe it doesn’t have everything the games after it did but that is to be expected because everything improves over time.
Saying gen one sucked makes you look Worse than any genwunner, make you look like someone who hasn’t played gen one, yet somehow still have an opinion on it or you just dis it because it sounds like the right thing to do.. either way.. its not the truth and annoying

Those are some the reasons in my opinion it was a not so great region I liked it but i just didn’t like as much, people have their own opinion so i respect yours, you should not say someone else’s opinion is not valid.
Many people are biasing their opinions based on the greatness of the current gen games, which when compared to Gen 1…. well they sucked. I see it as 2 extremes always fighting, the nostalgias and the currents. Neither side is right, you’re not a true fan if you hate the history of the game or hate the future of the game.
When red/blue came out I was 10. Of course it’s dear to my heart, but most people here weren’t even my age at the time. So they grew up differently. I respect that, and they can hate gen 1 as much as they want, doesn’t bother me. I hate gen 5, and they really shouldn’t be bothered by that either.
I think a remake should happen.. add all of the advancements to the game, including new pokemon and post game then see what everyone thinks..
It’s really the same type of debate in the Zelda series as well. Older fans love A link to the past, while younger ones love the 3D titles. If they make Red/Blue like A Link Between Worlds, where it’s not really a remake but a love letter to both old and new fans, I would love it! But in a way, I do feel that Kalos achieves that to a good extent.

It’s not fact… it’s an opinion. Yes, people who say Generation One “sucked” may seem or even interpreted as someone reaching a level of hate one can only desire to not obtain. Although the challenges may be conclusive, one has to think, who made me think of this? Is it my own intention or is it someone else? Blaming your thinking and problems on someone else may seem bad but at the end of the day, SOMEONE either influenced you or you made that kind of judgement/opinion seem as if it were a fact. Either way, genwunners influence us to hate on Generation One just to keep them away. Yes, it is awful but you have to know, influence plays a larger role than evil VS good in terms of opinion.
Yeah I ONLY see people say Gen One sucked.. after someone said they Loved it.. but the “Genwunners” rarely say Gen 1 was the best anymore, the just get labeled that after expressing any joy for the first games.. which really upsets me
