The very first Pokémon is set to air in North America on Cartoon Network on January 4th at 8:30 am (confirm with your local listings). The movie has been digitally remastered and should be a real treat for older fans of the series who may have seen the movie when they were younger.
Movie Synopsis
Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket, had ambitious plans to take over the world, involving his latest experiment, a powerful clone of Mew—Mewtwo. Mewtwo is very powerful, and also very smart—smart enough to not want to be controlled by Giovanni. It escaped from the lab, and now Mewtwo begins to concoct its own scheme, clandestinely inviting a number of Pokémon Trainers to the ultimate test. Of course, if it’s an event for talented Trainers, Ash Ketchum will be right in the front row!
Ash’s excitement turns to fear and anger when Mewtwo reveals its plan for domination, creating powerful clones of all of the kids’ Pokémon so it can even the “imbalance” between Pokémon and their Trainers. Despite Ash’s protests, Mewtwo refuses to believe that Pokémon and people can be friends. No. I try to see the good in everyone. Everyone has a good side. I am kind of different. I’m in a school where disappointment is not in the agenda. At only age 10 I’ve accomplished so much and even starting to write my very first novel. The whole school knows me and know what I can do and if I do something wrong… I won’t be able to go back to that school. Especially this up-coming International Spelling Bee. Two time winner, two times in a row, and I don’t even want to enter I made it to the Finals but… I never wanted to in the first place.

Why would your family despise you just because you’re different? My aunt divorced her first husband and married another. In our religion (Christian) you couldn’t do that. To top that off, my Grandfather was the Pastor of our church. Although he didn’t like it he wanted what was best for his daughter and before his untimely death at 48 my Aunt’s new husband and my grandfather actually hang out with each other. They were besties before we knew it! If you love the guy then it’s fine. I guess your family just needs some time. You shouldn’t despise them for it either. I know it’s really hard but for my Aunt that was what made it worse and worse.
It’s because of their Christian beliefs. (Pentecostal family) They take one belief and hold it against you until you feel bad for it… Then ignore a lot of the rest.
