Digitally Remastered ‘Pokémon: The First Movie’ to Air

The very first Pokémon is set to air in North America on Cartoon Network on January 4th at 8:30 am (confirm with your local listings). The movie has been digitally remastered and should be a real treat for older fans of the series who may have seen the movie when they were younger.

Movie Synopsis

Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket, had ambitious plans to take over the world, involving his latest experiment, a powerful clone of Mew—Mewtwo. Mewtwo is very powerful, and also very smart—smart enough to not want to be controlled by Giovanni. It escaped from the lab, and now Mewtwo begins to concoct its own scheme, clandestinely inviting a number of Pokémon Trainers to the ultimate test. Of course, if it’s an event for talented Trainers, Ash Ketchum will be right in the front row!

Ash’s excitement turns to fear and anger when Mewtwo reveals its plan for domination, creating powerful clones of all of the kids’ Pokémon so it can even the “imbalance” between Pokémon and their Trainers. Despite Ash’s protests, Mewtwo refuses to believe that Pokémon and people can be friends. But faced with the determination of a young Trainer and the love of his Pokémon, Mewtwo just might have to reconsider, especially when pitted against the power of the mysterious Mew! — Official Site

  1. Adding to Earthen’s comment:

We gym leaders and elite four should make competitive teams using our type.
6 pokemon, no duplicates, no legends, no duplicate items.
    Should we allow Megas?
The pokemon can be in their final forms.
I think this is a really good idea.
Only for gym leaders and the elite four though.

    Anyone else like?

Staff (but none of them battle)

  4. Alright clearly this idea for an official/unofficial Pokejungle Pokemon League is a huge success (everyone is commenting so fast my internet is slowing ^_^)
I’m writing down/creating an official list of who’s what
Me, Wurmple, Carbink, Pokemaniacmy are the elite Four
Mayor and Lick are gym leaders
the Champ is going to be a Staff member
as Gym Leaders come your job is to create a team of your type of choice, please try not to duplicate types (I hate that)
And yes Gym Leaders may create their own badges (Nothing too stupid)
Please just try to pace the comments so I can collect the info and not miss or overlook things

    • I agree, gym leaders don’t just say they want to be a leader, they prove they are strong enough through battle and can handle it

  7. Almost beat a team of Legendaries using my
    Togetic, Froakie, Chespin, Gligar
But I kept healing my Chespin while using Synthesis on Raquaza and they forfeited the match… >=I
I ALWAYS remove forfeiter from my acquaintances or friends.. losers
I saved the video though 🙂

  8. Everyone who wants to be a gym leader should battle it out..
    Ice against Ice
    Fairy against Fairy
    etc..
So everyone gets a chance and the best person gets the position
