Today’s question is rather simple. With the newly addition of Sylveon, what is your favorite Eeveelution. With seven eight Pokémon to choose from, there’s plenty of choice but not too many to keep it simple. And on a side note, is there an Eeveelution you wanted to see in XY? Disappointed that there is only one new Eeveelution? Tell us!

My favorite Eeveelution would have to be Umbreon. I actually found a shiny Umbreon Pokemon card about 7 years ago in one of those packs with 2 cards. I still have it today, and it is VERY valuable.
Vaporeon is my favourite eeveelution! And one of my favourite Pokemon. I was really expecting 6th gen to have two eeveelutions like previous gens, a dragon type eeveelution would have worked well with Sylveon.
Or a Poison-type Radeon so that Fairy would not seem too overpowered 😀
Agreed 🙂 A poison typed eeveelution has been long overdue and a steel typed eeveelution too. Fingers crossed for future gens though 🙂

Eeveelutions a time old favorite, My favorite is a close two by Jolteon and Flareon, But for some reason every playthrough of FireRed I always evolve the Gift Eevee into a Vaporeon

I was really hoping for a Steel typed evo with high atk & def plus a lot of resistances, mainly Dark & Ghost, but then came GF & nerfed the part I most liked about being Steel :(. Upside is if they do make one, it’ll make one hell of a Fairy slayer 🙂

I’m actually thinking of using a Mega Venusaur, but I don’t have time to breed one with good IVs…
It’s really bulky! I highly recommend it if you need that extra tank!

Thick Fat really makes it powerful.
Ive seen it take super effective Ice Beams and Flamethrowers and just shrug off the damage…That is my kind of bulk
Sylveon is definitely my favorite, as well as one of my favorite Pokemon in general. (I love my shiny Sylveon so much)
Glaceon is a close second though, followed by Espeon. Sylveon captured my heart when I first saw it though. I’ve always loved Skitty, so their resemblance could be part of the reason why. I just really like Sylveon. 😀
Umbreon definitely! It’s really the black sheep in the heard, being the only one that doesn’t have a single good offensive stat, but is all about defenses. Using an Umbreon isn’t easy as using an Espeon/Jolteon etc. and requires more thought than just attacking your opponent. Plus I Iove it’s design, especially it’s eyes, Calm, but fierce.
And it’s shiny form is pretty cool

I know. I had to go to the trouble of breeding Stealth Rock onto my Ferrothorn, and breeding Drain Punch onto my Scrafty…all due to a lack of move tutors…
Luckily i received a Swinub from wonder trade that already had Stealth Rocks bred onto it….
It’s annoying. Why would we want to bother breeding these moves when they were taught last gen, and where even TMs.
I think one reason, is that a lot of good Online only attacks are from move tutors (eg:SR). Being the first game, it gives new players a chance online as well as opposed to being thrashed instantly
Always remember that a good Pokémon is more than just a Pokémon that is good at competitive battling.
I.e. Charizard.

Thats hard for me to choose I love em all I used each at some point during the years but the one that really stuck with me is Leafeon I still have him in my platinum copy and I adored him to pieces he really helped me through the game plus it helps that I love nature and the leaves on him made it irresistible 🙂 as for this gen I wish there was another eeveelution but only because I liked having one I didn’t use and on each game I’m not someone that needs a eeveelution of every type the ones I really would have liked to see is dragon and ghost but I really love sylveon shes so cute so I’m happy with just her

I’m restarting my long-lost hunt in Firered for a shiny Abra. 9999 coins, 180 coins per Abra means 55/8192 chance! Should be easy right?
I’ve been doing the hunt on and off for four years. The answer is NO.
Sylveon! I use to love Umbreon, but since Sylveon was revealed I’ve loved it. Many people seemed to automatically be turned off…oh it’s so girly, ugh it’s too flashy, what’s with the flesh bows, etc…but for whatever reason, despite its overly pinkness and stereotypical girliness, I adored it. I suppose because I immediately imagined my OC Sylveon, Elvin, being particularly sensitive about how girly he looks (having Cute Charm so everyone loves the pessimistic little asshat doesn’t help). Yeah original ideas usually help.
In other news, who is shopping this black friday? Target has a deal for Xls, thinking getting one and giving my sister my old 3DS. The Xl are fifty bucks cheaper. Anyone have an XL? I’d like to know if it’s worth it!

The original plan was to get my sister a 2DS. But I have a gift card for Target. I figured that I could either spend 130 dollars for a 2DS or pay twenty more for my own XL and give her my 3DS. It has a decal of Umbreon on it, she’d love it.
I suppose that if she doesn’t mind either way, you should do the one that benefits you most. Unless she really wants a 2DS for some reason, the original 3DS is much better.

She’s nine. She’s broken the hinges of my DS lite before. The 3D isn’t a good function for younger kids, and the system itself is much more durable. Though, in the long run, it’s kinda pointless, as she’ll be old enough to handle it properly soon enough…just gotta convince my brother to go along with it. xD

YES. It is most definitely, absolutely, positively worth it 100% percent. Everything is so much better and all of the mistakes the original 3DS had are fixed. Pokemon X & Y look even better on the XL. You should really purchase it.

I got the last one at my local Target on Black Friday last year. It was a few hours since the store opened so it’s best not to wait so much. Pretty soon it will be called Black Thursday and no one will celebrate Thanksgiving anymore because Black Friday took over. Instead of being with your family and enjoying that yummy turkey, people are out buying items.
I love it’s flesh ribbons and the shiny version looks so cool! I love its eyes.
Some families have reported that they enjoy the shopping experiences after Thanksgiving anyway. Plus, it broadens out shopping days so not everyone crams in the stores on just one day and completely empties the stores’ inventory. It’s actually a great idea that they are doing it. I’m worried there won’t be any XL’s by time I get there….not too keen standing in line!
I have no idea how people could camp out in lines (eg. iPhone release). The lines actually aren’t so long (or at least in the store I went and the time I went). If you go to the gaming department or electronics, I believe the line shouldn’t be too long. If you go to the main cash registers, those lines are huge! Is there any specific color you prefer?

9999 coins from the slot machines in Firered, 180 coins per Abra means 55 Abras per soft reset.
Probability doesn’t work that way. Each time you buy an Abra it has the same chance of being a shiny. You are doing the gambler’s fallacy.
Its easier to do just 5 and reset, rather than deposit each time you get to 5, I’ve done this before, and got lucky getting it fairly quickly 🙂

My favorite Eeveelution (the most common favorite) is Umbreon, because i used it on my first Johto (Crystal) run through back in 2004, it was so terrific it tanked every sp attack hit,it saved me when i was battling Lance a couple times, Umbreon is just so good and reliable.
I am disappointed there is one eeveelution i wish there was a steel or Poison eeveelution, that sounds good to counter that sylveon.

Using RPG maker XP lets us have more freedoms and less restraints with what we can do. We’re also using pokemon essentials so you can count that as our basis :3
That’s what I meant. Usually Pokemon has reason…like for the first gym you can almost always catch a Pokemon in a route around town that would be effective for that gym.

This happened to my uncle, she would repeatly hit him with different objects, one time she actually took metal bat a beat him down, my uncle is afraid of going to jail so he never hits at all and i feel so sad just watching. I would step in but she threatens to kill him if I do.My uncle one day just tried to move, but she threaten suicide if he did move. i moved away so I don’t know how bad it was until he died. 🙁

Put all of them in or set a number make it a special number. And choose the best looking, the ones that you would see in a pokemon game. I don’t think anybody would be upset I think everybody cares and will be happy with the game itself. Or use one of everybody and then fill the rest with the best looking
This is difficult q.q
I would do it by type. You’d want a more even amount of each Pokemon type distributed throughout the game. Not to mention, in Pokemon, habitat actually makes sense. For example, Pidgey’s large feet and small rounded beak are useful for picking prey out of the dirt, which makes sense since they are primarily found in fields. Taillow have large wing spans to fly long distances over water, while Sparrow are not great flyers so stick to limited locations. Basically, take into consideration your Pokemon’s designs and go from there. It’s easier, though, to just stick to your made up mons.

Yup. I did that once on B2. I bred a Shiny Growlithe on B2, but saved before each egg. Then when I eventually hatched it, I shut the game off, turned it on, and traded the egg to my W2 (since I technically wanted to start the game with a Shiny Growlithe). It hatched on W2, wasn’t Shiny, traded it back to B2, and it was Shiny.

Oh yeah and to answer the question, my favorite eeveelution is Espeon. Loved it since I was 11, and loved it even more once Magic Bounce was introduced.
The eeveelution I would have loved to see in XY alongside Sylveon is a dragon type eevee – simply because when types were considered physical/special, dragon would be the only special type left that eevee hasn’t evolved into yet and I would love to see it happen at some point. I want it to have the same speed as jolteon, but instead of same special attack have a base attack power thats equal to jolteons base special attack power.
i would also love a dragon type evolution for eevee just so my dream of a reptilian eevee can come true. I’d also love a steel typed eevee just because it’s my favorite type.

I love all of the Eeveelutions. The only thing about them is that they evolve from a fox, and most of them are way too felid, especially Espeon. From an appearance standpoint, Umbreon is my favorite without a doubt. Competitively, I prefer Flareon, and through writing, Sylveon has grown on me more than i thought it would. I hope that they don’t stop making Eeveelutions, as I want Eevee to have 18 different evolutions, one for each type.

We’ll I poisoned it with toxic. Then when he got to low health he used rest with chesto berry combo. I hate the combo. It kept using calm mind so my togekiss couldn’t beat it or even make it flinch. I tried to stall but I couldn’t poison him again

I’ll tell you something: Of 83 of my battles, 80% of them was gliscor and clefable. Gyarados dragon dance sweep maybe 9 of the battles.

practically every team had someone with thunderbolt/thunder punch/stone edge. I was so scared of using gyarados that even pokemon that don’t know thunderbolt scare me because of random crits.

What Pokemon do I use? I use a mommy and a daddy with superior IVs and whatever else I need and just trade the parents out with offspring that have better stats as I progress through my hatching.

normally you would want to increase the higher stat, but onli in cases when there is a HUGE difference between HP and defense/spdef stat, do you increase the lower one. Another example would be increasing vaporeon’s def rather than sp.def

I would have to say mine would be an Umbreon. Ever since gen 2, I have loved that magnificent creature to bits. Though it’s moveset could do with some tweaks.
