  1. Will we be having a working stream this week? They were working fine on my nexus 7 til about 3 weeks ago

    1. I’ll be using Ustream and streaming it myself. I’m doing that because the reliance on other people providing a working stream had gotten a bit out of hand. If you are able to watch Ustream on your Nexus 7 (I can watch it on my Nexus 4) you should be good.

Sorry for not having one that works for you though. It’s difficult to fix problems when I’m following it live.

      1. And the chat is working too, or it’s just me?
Nothing is there just a white space.

        1. If you’re on a mobile device chat won’t work. Also, if you’re on a PC the chat disappears if your window/browser size is too small. Maybe try expanding it a little? If not perhaps try clicking the chat link and opening it on a different page/tab.

        1. We have to hope it works for me first! It was all working in the test earlier.

        1. No problem! Hopefully we’ll be using this method of doing things more in the future.

  2. From what I’m guessing we are going to see Fletching and then next week we may see new information.

  3. It’s gonna be a lame and boring show. No one cares about Fletchling anymore, show us something new or don’t show nothing at all. Boooooring.

  4. Hm, I’m not really interested about Fletchling. Guess I can check back next week.

  5. Is it a coincidence that “Forest of Pikachu” is airing on the same week as the revealed X/Y news?

        1. I really, REALLY don’t want this to be the case. I personally despise the thought of a dragon eeveelution, at least not until it’s the last type (besides normal) remaining. I want a poison, ground, fighting, and ghost eevee, then they can quit.

          1. Dragon makes more sense because the types of all the other Eeveelutions were special attack types before the D/P revamp. The only one that’s left is Dragon and had Fairy appeared before D/P, it’d been a special attack type too. It makes sence for them to quit after Fairy and Dragon. And honestly, it would be too much if the did more than 9 or 10 Eeveelutions.

          2. I had high hopes for Sylveon being a Dragon type, but I’m warming up to the idea of a new type in these games. Makes them feel really new.

          3. I have a Fakemon called Armoreon that is a Steel Type Eeveelution. It looks like a Knight, though. 😛

      1. Well, we know that if there is another eeveeloution, it’ll be either strong or weak against Fairy types

  6. what really shocked me was that final sentence. i just read the translation in a tweet: “The history of Pokemon Battles will change forever”… what’s that supposed to mean? what can we expect from E3 and Corocoro? now i’m very hyped, xD!

  7. “change Pokémon Battling history” – what could this possibly mean?

Could we be getting an entire restructure of the battling system in XY or a major change?
This sounds really big, like bigger then any generational change we’ve had with the battling system.
Still, I’m really curious now as to what they mean by this..

    1. Well its isn’t the first time that’s happen remember DV And iv in gen 1 and 2 and how you can max out all state and how the DV battle system change into the 510 Ev and battle system for 3 gen and onward and now X And Y may completely change the battle system all together which means if the case everyone will need to Re learn how the Pokemon competitive battle will work because its won’t be like older generation of Pokemon anymore i can say that’s,

    2. They probably mean a new type. All the footage shown so far still features the normal battle mode, with attacks, stat boosts and whatnot.

      1. Well I can’t deny that the indications point to a new type but as big as a new type maybe, it just doesn’t seem big enough to be changing the history of Pokemon battles. Even though the preview hinted at the new type, one must also remember about what Masuda posted in his blog time back about the new battling mechanic.
In my opinion it’s more likely to be that then a new type but anything could happen at this point.
I’m just really excited & kinda nervous :]

        1. It’s PR speak, they always use hyperboles.
“A massive adventure awaits” doesn’t mean we will get a game that takes 500 hours to complete the story.

    3. This could be a reference to the rumored duel-type attacks. That would definitely be a game changer, especially if they’re sprinkled throughout existing move pools. Change Pokemon Battling History indeed!

    4. New changes the series brought towards battling:

      Gen 2: two new types.

      Gen 3: double battling.

Gen 4: 510 Effort Value system, Individual Values. Lvl 1 Pokemon. Entry Hazards.

Gen 5: Triple Battles, Rotation Battles. Sky Drop. Sturdy Ability Enhanced.

I can only guess that Gen 6 will double on everything

      1. EVs and IVs were Gen 3, and technically we had hazards in the form of weather as early as Gen 2.

  8. Don’t know if anyone saw it, but the new Pokemon looked like it had a quadruped body type. Also, if you looked at the shadow of it, something appendage like was moving. Maybe it was Sylveon and their revealing it’s new type next week? Maybe a new Evolution? or a new Pokemon altogether.

Although thinking about it, it was said that next week’s reveal will change the history of Pokemon battles forever. If the 3D aspect wasn’t enough, then what else but a new type or two (Maybe) With that insensitive given, it could mean that the Pokemon hidden by the question mark could be Sylveon (It’s type being revealed is the change for Pokemon battles?)

    Just putting this out there.

  9. Might next weeks episode’s reveals be shown earlier in the week making it pointless as usual?! YES! PS is worthless. :/

    1. yeah, i have to agree. Things are much different this time around. This time we’re getting worldwide info, not just japan exclusive stuff, we kinda don’t need pokemon smash anymore.

        1. true true, tis a shame, im sure if G4 was as good as it was a long time ago or even around for that matter, we’d have a chance of a pokemon show like this………maybe.

          1. No. G4 was and always will be for hardcore gamers (A.K.A. people who aren’t primarily Nintendo fans). This is why I never watched it, since my interests don’t go much behind Pokémon and Smash Bros. But yeah, there would never be an entire show dedicated to a franchise so many hardcore gamers consider “kiddy” stuff on that channel. MAYBE Cartoon Network or on the Pokémon website. Besides, they’re too busy showing Cops 2.0.

          2. Are you implying that Nintendo fans can’t be hardcore? What does hardcore mean anyway?

          3. They’re a different type of hardcore, less brutish for a lack of a better word.

Hardcore; The inner part of the apple that chokes you if you swallow it. 😛

          4. Bro, Hardcore, is like someone who plays the majority of the day, majority of the week. It doesn’t mean Nintendo fans aren’t hardcore.

          5. True. Guess what I really meant was stereotypical hardcore gamers. I was trying to describe the audience that G4 targets, not necessarily comment on Nintendo fans.

  10. “A further confirmation that the next episode of Pokémon Smash will be an XY Special. Who’s excited?!”

No one, since it will just rehash the same news we’ll get from E3 and CoroCoro along the week.

  12. We may see new Pokemon in CoroCoro, I want a new Bug Pokemon, I am very excited!

  13. Actually, you can’t change the history of Pokémon battle, as history has already happened. You can change the future of Pokémon battles however. Unless they put in some kind of time related mechanic. Time type confirmed!

      1. Future always changes, until that absolute time frame becomes history.
Making lollipop type instead of chocolate type nets a different outcome.

        1. Future never changes, only ones who are enslaved by the dimensions think it can.

  14. Any new type combinations you guys are looking forward to?

    I’d like a Grass/Dragon type.

    1. Normal/Ghost type, maybe a sort of phantom coyote pokemon. They say their howls are ghostly.

  15. They still haven’t shown the CoroCoro info detailing that you can choose between three different hair/eye/skin color for each protagonists, I’m sure that will be part of it. But since they’ve already shown all four new Pokemon from the CoroCoro issue last month I’m sure they will be showing at least one new Pokemon (which will probably be on the CoroCoro issue for this month if not during the E# event). Pokemon Smash usually gets screwed out of showing real never before seen Pokemon, they need to give them some real exclusives not just rehashes of CoroCoro.

    1. They probably rehash stuff so that the kids watching Smash who don’t have a subscription/can’t buy the magazine can still see what’s going on.

    2. To be fair to them, they showed Mewtwo’s new forme before anyone else. I mean, yeah it had already leaked, but no-one knew it was official until the Smash exclusive reveal.

So yeah, 95% of the time they get scooped by CoroCoro, but you really gotta keep an eye out for that other 5%.

    1. It’s a rumoured new type, currently even more baseless than Fairy (at least Fairy has Hiro – the dude who leaked us the entire BW dex – backing it).

      1. Didn’t the guy who leaked that Fairy type Rumor get proven false? I remember seeing somewhere that all current rumors around the Fairy Type were proven to be fake.

        1. Nope, Fairy has yet to be confirmed real or fake. Hiro’s sort of shut up about it for a while on Twitter, guess he was tired of people calling him a liar, lol.

Hopefully we’ll know for sure tomorrow, one way or the other.

  16. So with the new rumors about an Echo type, what do you think about this image?

It looks like another Eeveelution to go along with Sylveon. Seeing as Sylveon has Feminine traits, maybe this is the male counterpart with the echo typing?

While that’d be nice, I think this image is confirmed fake.

The image itself comes from 2ch, which has been relatively brimmed with rumors on past Pokemon games. An unknown source however, says that this image was taken from a prerecorded episode of Smash. I still think it’s fake though.

    1. Yeah. That’s fake. I’d like to think that the artists have some sense of anatomy and perspective.

      1. I thought it was fake. I still think we’ll get another eevelution, they’ve always been in pairs.
