Just like we do with Pokémon Smash we have covered Nintedo’s recent 3DS Direct, all the updates can be found below!

Updates:

  • Mario & Luigi: Dream Team will launch for the 3DS on August 11th. The game has several new mechanics that utilise functions of the 3DS, for example using the in-built gyroscope to control the game world.
  • Mario Golf: World Tour will launch this summer on the 3DS. Players are able to play in realtime multiplayer matches and take part in player golfing tournaments. The Community feature allows you to easily enjoy multiplayer features, as well as setting specific parameters for games, such as allowing players to only play as Luigi in a game.
  • Mario Party announced for 3DS. The game will feature more game boards all with new elements. Each board has a specific set of elements, for example a Rainbow Road themed board has a boost feature that allows you to zoom around the board. Mario Party 3DS is planned for release this winter.
  • New Super Luigi U DLC will launch this summer with 82 all-new levels. The DLC will feature Luigi’s special attributes like his heightened jumping.
  • Donkey Kong Country Returns has been optimised for handheld gaming. The difficulty has been balanced in the new mode so that players are able to play for shorter periods, one such way is increasing the health of Donkey and Diddy so they can be hit more times by an enemy. This ‘New’ mode also features new items, such as the Portable DK Barrel. DKCR will launch on May 24th on the Nintendo eShop and in retail.
  • Yoshi’s Island 3DS announced. The game will carry over fan favourite features and skills. New details will be announced soon.
  • Wii U Spring System update will improve loading time between switching software. Several new features will also be added, including: the ability to copy and move data between drives, download software and updates whilst playing games, directly boot the console into Wii mode. The Wii U Virtual Console will begin on the 19th of April. Wii U Panorama View will be available as a demo soon. This allows you to view the world’s most exciting locations from every direction using the Wii U GamePad and download virtual tours.
  • Pikmin 3 time! A new Pikmin with wings has been revealed. The Pikmin can fly and is known as the Winged Pikmin! These Pikmin follow the player in the air offering new ways to play. Pikmin 3 will launch on August 4th with more details to be revealed between then and now.
  • EarthBound will be available on the Virtual Console by the end of this year in US and EU.
  • Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis  the Move will launch exclusively on the 3DS eShop on May 9th.
  • Game & Wario will feature even more all new Wii U gameplay elements. As well as a multiplayer mode. The game will launch on June 23rd in the US.
  • Animal Crossing: New Leaf 3DS XL bundle announced. The system will launch with an RRP of $219.99 and comes with a 4GB SD card preloaded with Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Releasing use 9th in the US and June 14th in EU.
  • The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages will available on the Virtual Console from May 30th.
  • Bravely Default will be released in the US during 2014.
  • The conclusion to the second saga of Professor Layton saga will launch in 2014 on 3DS in the US, this year in EU.
  • Bugs VS. Tanks, The Starship Damrey and Attack of The Friday Monsters all coming to the 3DS. Shin Megami Tensei 4 will arrive in the US on July 16th, with a confirmation that a EU release is coming.
  • A new Zelda game announced! The new game will take place in the same time frame as a Link To The Past. Features an original storyline. Link is able to turn into a drawing, using the mechanic to solve puzzles in the game. The game—titled A Link to the Past 2—will launch this holiday season.
