According to the latest from GameStop that’s what it will debut at. There’s a press conference tomorrow (Europe) and Preview (NY) so we’ll probably get launch date & price for Europe and hopefully America as well. I just thought I’d wet your palette with the information we have at the moment :]

Wow, $250 doesn’t really seem like that much to me…..if it translates to around 180 euro I think it might be cheaper than the original DS was….I can’t remember.
At least I thought it would be like over 250-300 euro (O.O) so this is pretty welcome.

This really kind of bums me out. My parents generally buy me game systems because they know I enjoy it and I spend quite some time on it, including time spent with friends, sisters, and cousins. But they would never buy me a handheld worth $250 for just myself. I guess something like this is coming out of my paycheck. I bet it didn’t even cost $250 to make, but whatever.

One price I won’t pay is <$200. I would never pay the launch price of the Wii for the handheld. For $250 I could go get a Kinect and Dance Central plus Black Ops. Nintendo got $250 outta me before the summer of '07. Plus with games being ~$50? Hells nah!

Hey, you really shouldn’t complain about the price. Here in Brazil we pay 70% of taxes in every single electronic that comes from outside the country. Just for you to have an idea: 1 USD = 1.7 BRL (brazilian reais). Guess how much a Wii costs these days? Over 1000 BRL. A DSi is over 600 BRL and a DSi XL is over 800 BRL. Nice, isn’t it?

As much as my DS and Lite are falling apart, I’m NOT paying $250 for a handheld. Screw 3D, it should have been no more than $200.

I agree with JelloJolteon. Charging over $200 for a handheld is insanely ridiculous. Inflation might make it that way in another 7-10 years, but that is just crazy, especially for now.
